afternoon before we get on the back edge of this and start to see some clearing. visibility is an issue. the fog is around. we're down to visibility of half a mile in allentown, four miles in pottstown, philadelphia not too bad. we're at eight miles. on a clear day it would be 10 miles. wildwood 4 miles, five miles. that fog is going to be a problem. so keep that in mind if you're headed out on the road this morning. you're going to have to watch for the fog. here's a look at the temperatures, very mild. above is above the freezing mark so it's all rain for today for everybody. 48 in millville, 51 in atlantic city, 52 in wildwood. thinks the start of what is going to be a very mild day 6789 temperatures are going to get into the 60s. it's going to feel like spring around here. here's a look at your fog cast. 509-degrees by 9:00 a.m. we should be up to 606789 the showers stick around all afternoon long. we can't rule out thunderstorm

found yesterday. by the garden state under water recovery team. that was the fourth time this volunteer group was out helping in the search with so many other people looking for shane montgomery ever since he left kill dare's bar early thanksgiving. he was found in the river beyond the man acc public which was not very far from where he was last seen. it depends on visibility. if there's no visibility, everything is by touch. if there is some visibility, it's eyes and touch. that's why we do this. it's to find family's loved once and bring them back to them. they certainly did do that. on the help find shane montgomery facebook page. today we have done what was

our new overnight, police are looking into this deadly shooting first and then a car crash. multiple vehicle were involved. it happened about 3:00 this morning on the 3700 block of north deli street. police say the driver of a car was shot in the chest so that he crashes into yet another car. so far no suspects. and we also know that we have at least one person in the hospital following this crash. it happened at east false neighborhood. about 26789. 45 on the 3100 block of and the outrode. police say the car crashed into a telephone pole and over turned. we don't know the cause of that crash. the cdc calling this flu outbreak an epidemic. get this they say it's only only going to get worse. we know your family's health is important. many of you have symptoms about diagnosis. how do you know it's the flu and not a cold. great question. dr. mike is spending his sunday morning with us. s ongoing to answer all your

stories glad to be in philly. they searched behind the attack of a gay couple. someone tweeted the friend of a friend. the people in the picture looked like those of the surveillance video of the attack. helping to identify the restaurant and then most of the people in the picture. police made their arrests and now several people face charges in the attack. my take, social media can be a massive waste of time. we've seen it used for some pretty nasty purposes, but in a growing number of cases the reach of the internet allows people who want to help to do just that. police know it. nowadays they often reach out to ask for information or witnesses via social media. and they should. there was another example of this trend when louie was found. it was back in october. the black lab was sitting in his owner's car when the car was stolen off the lot of a home depot in south philadelphia.

well, thanks to social media, louie's picture never faded from public view. sure enough, about a month later someone who knew louie was missing found him in north philadelphia. a happy reunion followed. funny how animal stories, be they abused or missing seem to set the social media on fire. only if we cared this much about people as we do about their pets. which brings up the minister that make contact bates. this fearless philadelphia woman was caught on surveillance camera shielding a mother and child on a train. she told the pair don't be afraid, i'll protect, proceeded to block the defender several times before ushering many mom and child off the subway. my take, all too often folks in a big crowd tend to see something bad happen right in their midst and figure someone else will have to deal with it, i won't have to.

at least trig didn't try to eat the dog. they call her heart hearted and bizarrely callus. she's a hunter and she's all fired up about everything. people always. a bobcat gets trapped inside one of the most unlikely places. see the eyes peering out the grill of a vehicle. scottsdale, arizona is the scene. a driver of the vehicle is driving down the street, 50 miles an hour, he sees the large cat, goes over the large cat and thinks the cat dies. and then he goes to check for damage and that's when he sees those eyes peering right at him, the bobcat stuck in the grill. i have a wild animal and you have the fact that it basically not used up any of its nine life, which is a miracle.

it's not super super cole. a former philly tv sports caster will go for trial tomorrow for allegedly stealing $300,000 through a charity. he pled guilty to several charges including theft by deception in september. but last month the 6 # year old withdrew his guilty plea, fired his attorney and said he's going to represent himself in court. pile son is a former sports caster for fox 29. the us government is dead. edward brook was the first african american to be elected to the senate for pre-construction. he was a republican who served from 1967 to 1979. before his life in politics he served in the army during world war ii earning a bronze star for his combat in italy. during his career he turned various cabinet post opportunities from president richard nixon. edward brook was 935. we're talking to doctor ♪ all morning long because so many of

look at that. on a day when it's going to be 60 and gross here in the city. it's not going to be gross out there, but it's going to be just as warm in the pocono mountains. they're going to get up into the 50s. it's not spring, but it's spring-like weather. we get it for 4 hours and then it starts to get cold around here. we have joe asking, the year is so wet, what's the trend going to be like. joe, first of all, it's only four days in the new year. let's calm down. but it has been wet, you are right. it's warmer than normal winter and we. had a lot of snow. so that trend is definitely going to in t. although we do have snow in the seven-day, but this is going to be more mild of a winter than we had last year. that certainly is good news i guess if you don't really care for winter too much. the showers are starting to break up, so there's more showery activity today. we do have rain coming down.

backtrack, back steps, goes to starbucks and an employing goes to the dumpster and finds the rings. she didn't want me to flipping through the trash. she said you're pregnant. don't do that. it was freezing cold. and she was just really awesome. she is so lucky the rings were actually in the bag at the top of the dumpster and she has them on her hand. lucky is not the word. this takes some serious guts. a family caught squatting in a maryland home. a am toker hedge fund manager, wife and his dog moved into the house. the house has a gourmet kitchen, hot tubs, custom closets. it went on the market back in may for more than a million dollars. neighbors say the family introduced themselves as the new homeowners. if they had moved into the house and they had been there about three days, even scheduled some

you can use them on galvanized pipe, plastic pipe or copper pipe. they're easily installed, a little bit of electrical tape, take it to the bottom of the pipe that's exposed to prevent them from freeze for example. if you have it secured with a good quality exterior electrical tape. then you take your insulation and you nap it around and that will keep your pipes from freezing. if you choose to use it on a pvc pipe that always has water in it, make sure you wrap it in foil that way it don't freeze. you should still turn the water off and drain the lines, but it will help it from freezing. any insulation is good insulation. if you have any questions, tweet us at fox 29 weekend. we want to thank our dr. mike who is still busily answering your questions. i never heard this song.
