this is on the the eastbound side of the ac expressway. and again, don't let mother nature fool you but crews did a great job at plowing and clearing the roadways of the 10 inches of snow. they are still seeing delays out there. this is an accident eastbound lanes of 422 right near the schuylkill expressway where you may have one good clear lane, the second lane left one here partially snow covered and that is the scenario you will see throughout your morning rush hour. you will know when you see it. here's the intersection at 202 and county line. look at this knuckle head. clean all of the they off the car before you pull out of the driveway. all that snow will fall back on to the road surface. the here's another example of route 309, one good lane opened, the other lane still snow covered. so again it is hit and miss depending upon where you begin and end your trip. there is the location of the accident on the atlantic city expressway. all of the regional rails

machine gun essentially the kind of gun you saw in the charlie hebdo killer using. they had within of those in their house. this is ab assault rifle. this could have been worse. let's show you a picture of the office their died. this is robert wilson. commissioner confirmed that is damon stevenson on the far ride in between, and these two guys, together at the game stop because officer wilson has a nine year-old son. his son did good in school. he got good grades. he was stopping there while on duty just to stop in real quick in the middle of the blizzard, you will remember, he was surprised the store was open. he wanted to give his son a video game. his son was off from school. today he wanted his kid to have a video game to play with and give home a reward for being a good kid. he gets killed being a great dad, and a great cop at the same time. >> there was another weapon recovered as a result of the search warrant. an ak-47 of the house of one of the suspects. one of the individuals in

custody, and they have been both charged now with first degree murder. he is 29 years old. he is on parole for robbery. the the second suspect , 24 years old who has a prior arrest for aggravated assault and a theft. that occurred outside of philadelphia. >> reporter: i know you were choking up last night but you talk about his nine year-old son apparently he stopped in there. his son did good in school and getting him will a video game. >> he done well in school and he was just buying him a video game what parent probably hasn't done that for a child in recognition of good work. he happens to be here at the time these two guys come into commit a robbery. it is just tragic all the way around. >> reporter: that why is he was in the with his partner. he was out in the parking lot with the police car. he hears the gun fire and then gets in the second change of gunfire, one of the two brothers, wounded in the leg. but okay right now.
8:06 am
we will get maybe the latest from seth williams on. that we will also hear from seth williams about these two brothers. maybe he has looked into their criminal history. the plus seth's office is bus toy day because in a crazy coincidence, one of the two killers of the last officer killed in the line of duty, moses walker is getting sentenced to life without parole today a lot of things, and you saw him with his familiar tan/beige wool overcoat on, on the scene of this getting the facts himself firsthand yesterday. a lot of developments on this story and a very sad story. it is just an amazing story this guy a great dad, thinking of his son in the middle of the storm and duty just trying to go in there and get his son a gift and gets killed in the process. here's the other thing talking to police and dave schratwieser, reason you are thinking who would hold up a store when you see a police office there are in line at the the cash register. they probably didn't see it because officers that looked
8:07 am
at surveillance, there is those big displays in stores like video stores and game stops and he was behind one of those big pop up displays and they didn't see him at first when they came in there to hold it up and they were just surprised to see him as he was to see them. >> but they still may have passed in front of that marked unit, where his partner was outside, that store, in the parking lot, they may have just walk right by that, officer with intent to rob, so, brazen none the the less, steve, thank you. interesting perspective. >> steve, you mentioned district attorney seth williams who is here with us right now at desk. so many people are asking about the family and how they are doing. were you with them last night. >> right, good morning, chris, alex. just a horrific, horrific tragedy and yes, i was at the hospital last evening and i had an opportunity to meet officer wilson's family. my condolences go out to his grandmother, his sister, his two sons, extended family and all of his family members are philadelphia police officers. just a senseless, act of
8:08 am
cowardness is what happened yesterday. i asked all philadelphians to keep them in prayer. but police officers have an amazing job, any given day they could save a life and they can take a life, or as officer wilson, give their life. he went down, trying to protect philadelphians. these two cowards shot him, they were on both sides of him shooting at him from point blank range. he was shot, ten times. unbelievable. >> that is new information to us, so he was shot ten times, and then you said they actually went in for the the kill. >> well, in a gun battle with them trying to protect the citizens that were in the game stop. he was there just to get a game for his son who had done well from school. he was shot from both sides. the commissioner shared that with people last night, ultimately and two shots to his head. just a horrific tragedy. >> what does that mean then
8:09 am
from a prosectorial standpoint, when it that is brazen and if he is already down and has been shot multiple times and they go up and finish the job, as a prosecutor, does that give you more teeth to prosecute them when it comes to the law. >> well, this is also very preliminary, i hope to look at the video today but again, this shows the the intent, it just shows their malice, that they had, the lack of, i don't know, humanity. >> humanity. >> they had 40 caliber semiautomatic hand gun, one of them had an extended clip, one was executed at their home, there was a ak-47. this is just showing that the streets are filled with evil. we have to do all we can to stand up to those like officer wilson who show us that there is good. i cannot thank commissioner ramsey enough. the grace and leadership that
8:10 am
he demonstrated yesterday speaking with his officers, i was in the auditorium of 300 officers when he explained that officer wilson had passed. just the leadership, mayor and commissioner ramsey showed, i think our city is very fortunate. >> you mentioned commissioner ramsey. we were talking earlier this morning. he mentioned both suspects are facing first degree murder charges what do we know about the suspect . and, detectives lead, the assigned, and grieving, abe they were out there in all of the information, along with the chief my homicide unit put together the strongest case possible. a against these two drugs. >> one of them was out on parole. >> that as a backdrop today all these grieving officers might show up, a lot of them for sentencing of another slain officer. >> in the the same district. >> moses walker junior. >> so moses walker killer was
8:11 am
going to be sentenced. his case was going to be continued for him to be sentenced. the defendant will get life without the possibility of parole, possibly consecutive year as a result of additional charges. but this just shows that we do all we can to protect police to better train them to give them the arm or that they need and justice a very sad day. i hope we can come together and keep this family in prayer because that is most important thing right now. we will take care of these two thugs that ended the life of this hero, they will get what is coming to them. >> d.a. seth williams, thank you for your time, appreciate you coming in. >> of course, our thoughts are with the family of officer wilson and all of the members of the law than force. we will have continuing coverage on line all day on this story judge us log on to our web site at my fox philly.com we will take a short break. dave: the effect that standardized testing is having
