>> they already have been over the last couple of weeks. over the past two seasons, let's think about this team said good bye to players like desean jackson, wow. shady mccoy a few days ago. yesterday, jeremy maclin. so on espn yesterday steven a smith suggested that race could be playing at least a little bit of the role in the eagles decisions about their players. >> chip kelly makes decisions, over the last couple of years that dairy say leave a few brothers feeling uncomfortable. >> you can say that. >> i mean we're sitting here looking at some of the decision that is chip kelly makes and i'm like what is up with that. i mean it looks like you got to be his kind of guy. riley cooper your kind of guy. >> he is creating a culture. he wants it to be on his terms. >> it is beyond the system. >> the operative word is culture, the culture is what resonates with me more profoundly because i'm looking
7:47 am
at chip kelly and like really. >> really. >> really. >> well joining us is former eagles player and coach, tre thomas. you spent last couple seasons as a coach, working with the pass rusher. >> yes. >> you did a nice job with trent cole. >> thank you, i think so. our numbers improved, in a lot of those areas, our sack numbers increased. >> we went from just from that segment 16 sacks the previous year to 26 and a half sacks. we did well. >> yesterday, steve up a's comments i was thinking wait a second chip kelly, he released a a couple of white guys and hired two or three black players. >> um-hmm. >> how can it be color lines here. >> what we are looking at is one of the things thaw are seeing right now and these are things that you have heard in the locker room from different players. >> eagles locker rooms. >> you have heard this from certain players that there is
7:48 am
a hint of racism. when you put that tag on someone you have to be careful with that but there are some of the players that feel that is what it is. because especially nervous of a report that came out that the eagles was one of the white esteems in the nfl. you start to see the culture of the team exchange quick when coach kelly takes over. >> he had seven blank coaches. >> seven a assistant black coaches but only one assistant coach is over the segment. the other guys air cysttents to the assistant coaches. so duce staley is only one head over his segment that will be in charge of his group. the other guys are assistants to april assistant coach. >> what if somebody says this might be strictly business. jeremy mackly wanted more money, shady mcco we were requesting if he is the same player. >> i think what coach kelly is doggies making decisions based off of what is right for his team but there are some guys that feel like there is some
7:49 am
issues there. >> he replaced shade which a black player, who decided not to come here now yesterday afternoon. >> you replaced shade which a linebacker. so you traded him for an oregon player. >> replaced a running back position they pick up frank gore. >> they went after a black player that is ten years older. not ten years older but going in to his 11th year. of course, you will have to have some black players that will come in but that is just what some of the feel is sometimes in the locker room. >> has anyone addressed it. >> he has never a addressed it with the team. only time he had addressed it is with the riley cooper situation where he went in and did what he did. >> why is riley cooper playing on the team? >> i don't know. >> coach kelly back him and
7:50 am
they tipped him off with coaching how to handle race but my question when you look at a riley cooper. everybody says why we keep talking about that. if riley cooper was black and that i am situation we are in the going to say if he was at the a cobbs earth and he was black and he met up with a white person and was talking like that or even if he was a homosexual person and gay bashing wow still be here. >> have you ever her any players in the league wanting not to come here. >> i haven't heard that personally. i have not. i cannot say i have heard that personally. >> i listened to steven a, even watching it live, they kept using the word culture. racism was not brought up, culture. it seems like he was trying to say that the coach really want people who just listen to him like a college player. don't be too strong with me. don't fight with me. >> i think that is every coach's situation. no coach wants to be will challenges specially publicly.
7:51 am
every coach will be on that same type of program where they want someone to come in and listen to what i have to say and just follow my order. >> how was your relationship with chip, what do you think he thinks about this interview. >> i'm in the coming in and saying anything that is really extravagant, i'm in the lying about anything. i'm just saying what i have heard and seeing what i have seen and so i can't see it being any issue. >> good to see you. >> it looks like you can still play. >> that is the illusion i try to make. >> these are show muscles now. >> great to see you. >> lets get a player perspective. >> lets get to chris murphy. >> hi guys, i'm knotter ease high school with beau allen who got a a lot of playing time as a rookie. beau, thank you for being here. we will hear about that in a minute. >> thanks, good to be here. >> you don't want to talk about the controversy over steven a smith and trade or jeremy maclin.
7:52 am
>> there is a lot of stuff going on. i'm worried about northeast high school and that kind of thing. >> tell me about this program fuel up to play 60. what is this all about. >> we're here, yes. >> hey. >> it is all right. lets give these guys a round of applause. >> your we cheering. >> basically we're here for fuel up to play 60, and what these students have done is they have created a wellness corner where opportunities can come in the morning and get healthy, to go meals to fuel them, you know, give them proper nutrition for their entire day you were telling me you went to star from the wisconsin badgers. you have played in three rose bowls. in high school you didn't even eat breakfast yourself. >> no, my bus in high school came 7:15. would i roll out of bed at seven and head down to the bus stop without a proper breakfast. the these kid here of a great opportunity to come get a
7:53 am
yogurt, cereals, abe really like i said earlier seal their day. >> i have to know you are 6-foot two, 330. >> i haven't stepped on the scale yet this morning but that is something like that. >> is what your typical breakfast for a defensive lineman. >> they feed us all right over at our facility. my favorite food is i like eggs, you know, scrapple also, some egg whites too there occasionally but we have got a waffle maker at our facility that i use, once a week because waffles around the healthiest options. >> lots of eggs. >> eggs, i'll eat anything. these parfaits look delicious. >> thanks for your time, and good luck next year. >> go

8:00 am
single morning it it wasn't at 12:00 midnight but 6:00 in the morning because that is when people were starting to wake up and as they were living on the edge, that is when they had a heart attack and they had a code. >> i think we should just ban this whole idea, and we should go more with like natural ways to wake up with, light and darkness. what is is this? i don't get it. i think it is wrong. we should put a stop to it. >> it started with farmers so they have more time to bring in the crops with sock. >> i see corn growing there hasn't been acorn out here in 200 years. >> good day, it is tuesday march 10th, 2015, thanks, dock. as if snow isn't frustrating enough now we have to deal with these potholes. look at this pothole on girard avenue. wow that person went pretty fast, alex.
