apparently this 51 year-old male victim had a routine around the same time every night. police say man was hot in the chest and in an apparent robbery he was lying on the ground, he had had a flashlight in one hand, leash in the other, his dog was lying next to him shaken and scared. apparently officials thought the man had a medical condition and didn't realize until after he got to the hospital that he had had been shot. >> he lives in the area. but he seems to be well men by the people in this community. he seems to have the same pattern around 8:30 every night he walks his dog. fortunately his daughter was not with him tonight out here, it is just a tragic incident and looking for anybody who has information to contact our tip line at 215-686-tips. >> reporter: man was transported to penn presbyterian hospital where police say he died within minutes. at this point he has in the been identified, we know he a has a daughter, we don't know if he had has a wife or any other children. he has not been identified as police continue to investigate. they want to you give him a call. call an anonymous tip to
