8:02 am
everybody, 8:01, just got word of school bus accident here, in gloucester, new jersey. it is along berlin crosskeys road, right by the pine valley country club. just to a locator here. berlin crosskeys road closed between turnersville road and new brooklyn aerial road. so the 42 freeway will be your best bet. we will of course try to get more information on the status of if there are any injuries or not there. south on 95, heavy from cottman avenue down into girard avenue. the schuylkill running slow. your normal delay here from say montgomery drive, out to cons she, starting to slow in little sun glare there, as women. we go out to the 30 bypass for the gang coming come in from chr county, no problems coming over the benny yet. looking good leaving south jersey and mass transit running with no delays. mike, alex, back over to you. >> thanks, bob. 8:02, we turn to developing news in connection to hit-and-run accident. this is from earlier this week. we have now learned that the two year old boy has died. >> so this has been a bad week. we have four year old, right, now two year old dead by
8:03 am
hit-and-run drivers. there is steve. >> just starting my day on another story, then six hours ago you get the call from the just devastated accident investigation team here. that we're talking to. every day up until now. and you could hear the excitement in their voices pulling for this little two year old boy to somehow survive his injuries. he was hit with his 19 year old mother, that second hit-and-run monday night, they got the word from children's hospital at 1:30 this morning that little david al leer ya, who had been extremely critical, in grave condition, and they were telling us he was fighting and fighting and fighting. but, passed awayment the doctors say the injuries just too severe to save him. his mother, josephine riviera, still in the hospital. she was also critically hit. but was said to be improving. but you have to rethink that this awful loss of her son. >> just adorable, and very understandably why. both on mascher street, in front of their house, and as you heard the police say, all week, that these little kids
8:04 am
will run out in the street with a moment's notice. she was right with them, and she dove to save him. that's how they both were hit by this car on mascher street. police have a good description and not only surveillance, but part every tail light lens from now known as infinity, probably 20074 door, with a clear glass roof. it wasn't just the driver in the car. they know at least one passenger that could see in the surveillance in the front seat as well. >> we have it probably narrowed down to 07 white infinity. that was south on mascher, then went west on lehigh avenue. we believe there were two males in the vehicle, hispanic or white. the public is obligate today stop and help. call 911, dot right thing n this case, for whatever reason, they did not. they chose to leave. when you have 19 year old young mother and two year old, that's pretty bad. >> so the reward we got the word from commissioner ramsey just before 7:00 that mayor nutter gave them the okay to double the reward from 10,000 to 20,000.
8:05 am
now, it is standard to have $20,000 city off philadelphia reward in all murder cases, and this went from a case where both drivers, this driver, and the other driver, really didn't do anything wrong 2348 they left the scene, probably not even traffic ticket to now facing mandatory one year prison term for leaving the scene of faith al accident if and when police find this driver. hopefully double the reward and this news and seeing that little boy's picture there, will somehow not only double the reward but double the remorse if from anybody who knows anything. >> hopefully they'll find them. >> so two guys in that car that took off. >> hoe knows what is going on in their lives, why they would drive off. bring you up to date on the other hit-and-run, happened -- >> it killed four year old boy so the woman driving the car according to police, is wait to go turn herself in. as the investigation continues. >> ran into the street south 57th in kingsessing, when the driver of the suv hit him, and
8:06 am
continued on. >> suspicious death of a man found dead inside of a burned up car. investigators arrived at the 4700 block of for the muff lynn road, down there southwest philly kind of near the airport. yesterday afternoon, late in the afternoon. when firefighters put out the flames they did find the body, the charred body after man in the drivers seat, this is a honda accord coup. see it there? they're investigating. 8:06. there is a mascot battle brewing in wilmington, delaware, some school officials want to eliminate the name and logo of the conrad redskins. >> so this is a magnet school in the red clay school district, that's been serving middle and high school student for nearly 50 years. support respect of the chain say the name is a racial slur. but many alumni attended last year's school board meeting insisted the mascot honors
8:07 am
native americans, and is actually part of a community tradition. >> we have never shown any disrespect or disregard to the american indian in the 80 year had history of this school. and now, somebody feels that we might be offer ending the american indians. >> a redskin in fact means sole for cash. does not belong in today's he had ago l setting. >> you know, native american mascots have already been phased out by more than 2,000 schools around the country. will postpone any decision until next summer, 2016. so kick that can down the road. >> so time released its list this morning of the most influencial people. >> is that trending? >> it is trending now. >> that's why we can use that little graphic there, that says the trend. >> people are tweet being it. >> one hundred people on this list, what is it, most
8:08 am
influencial. >> people in the world. >> lauren johnson -- johnson, are you on the list? >> i am not. alex the homecoming queen is not. but we do have philly love on that list. time calls these 100 people as you just said the most influencial in the entire wormed. apparently too tough to choice just one. so they have five people now on time magazine covers. each of them represents one of these five cat gore ills. either titans, icon, pioneer, an artist or leader. so let's look at them starting with top artist action, that's right, bradley keep, elkins park native turned hollywood heart throb, also oscar nominee. brought so much awareness, they thought that he was one of the most influencial artist. >> next up there is one will be really controversial. kanye west, he is a rapper, of course, he is a songwriter, started off producing first song with his mouth wired shut. a lot of people say he beat the odds, huge ego now, kim cam's husband, many people, i think he was actually nominated, mike, alex, by '
8:09 am
long, the guy who did the test, the c and c car, so a lot of people think kanye deserves to be on there. i think that one will be up for discussion. >> the end of our society as we know it. >> ruth bader, supreme court justice second woman appoint today that position, she made it for leaders, was she a pioneer? >> ruth bader ginsburg. >> but i'm trying to remember which category. in a leaders category. up next george ramos, mexican american journalist, look at that face on that picture, though, doesn't he look so mad and angry? but serious tone, and my favorite, misty copeland, a ballerina, not really talked about much, but she had like a rough background, and now she is with the ballet, so she is o therefore pioneers. >> oh, she -- absolutely perfect category for her. >> yes. >> she is a pie nerve. >> taylor swift is also on the list, so is president alabama.
8:10 am
barak obama. >> not on the cover. >> no, kanye west is. >> yes, kanye west. >> all right, well, thank up, lauren. >> 8:10. to the breaking news out of camden county. bob was talking about this earlier, but we have skyfox heading there now. so skyfox is on the way to school bus accident in gloucester township, new jersey. >> this happened on the 400 block of crosskeys road. >> sounds like pretty bad. thirty-nine kits on this bus. skyfox is almost there. looks like, yes, looks like that's in new jersey. nine of the kids transported to the hospital. this is bad, bad situation. school bus accident. >> we know about 39 kids on board, so on our way there. we will show you some live pictures in just a little bit. >> well, another app out there, we have to tell b we do this once a month, i think. do you have warn parent about these different apps. this one's called flinch. you need to ask your kids if they're using flinch.
8:11 am
privacy problems with this, horendous. >> and later, spring clean your beauty routine. how often should you swap out your mascara? >> what about your make up brushes? how you can look good while maintaining that healthy glow. >> i try to swap out my mascara twice a year. is that enough? >> you wear mascara? >> just little bit. just a touch.
8:12 am
8:13 am
8:14 am
>> skyfox in new jersey over school bus accident, where actually this is our camera, aboard the aircraft. trying to find the intersection, it is along berlin crosskeys road, right at turnersville road. the emergency responders, 39 children, that were on the bus, word is, it was a high school school bus. and right up the street, from overbrook high school, to gave you a kind of locate or, pine valley golf club but berlin cross kree closed. nine transported to the local hospital, with some back and some neck injuries. and again, skyfox is flying to the scene there. the minute that they arrive,
8:15 am
over the scene, we will take you back there live. but again, it is berlin crosskeys road right there between new freedom and turnersville road. and again, word was that it was a high school bus, and it is right up the street from overbrook high school. >> that water tower is familiar. and a shopping mall right there. >> yep. >> can't quite tell what town that is. bob? >> right at that intersection, they're trying to look for t so as soon as they found it, we come back n keep our fingers crossed hope for the best. >> the minute you see it, just break into our little interview here, okay? once you see it? >> you got it. >> 8:15, into app, this one makes a difference, you can do this with anyone around the wormed. >> so the staring contest, you just look at each other. >> first person to smile or flinch? >> flinch. >> then they lose. >> that's why they call it, flinch. critics, though, say it could easily get into the wrong hands. young people. chris o'connell checked this

8:18 am
>> your biggest fears? >> i don't want kids inviting strange tears their homes, or being expose today once seen can never be unseen. when you are dealing with a live streaming app, there are tons of immediate issues with that. i looked up, did a quick search on youtube last night, and immediately found several videos which were highly inapropriate of people actually videotaping themselves playing the game. so right away that violate their terms of service as far as prohibitive behavior. >> turned that isly almost immediately? >> yes, first three things out of the gate, racial slur, gay slur, inapropriate talking and very young kids. i saw what look to be like a 12 year old boy i have to say thank you to claude my, 17 in, first played with some of her friends that she knows, the choice you have, you can connect through facebook with your contact.
8:19 am
