7:06 am
later. >> we believe this 29 year-old victim is a chinese food delivery man. we believe he was making a delivery to one of the properties in the hill creek homes. because we found 12 spent shell casings in the 500 block of hill creek park. we also found some broken windows which we believe was the glass from the driver door window that the victim was in because that driver door window glassies also broken. most of that door window in the vehicle, some of the window, and the glass was on the highway and next to the 12 spent shell casings. we know at least 12 shots were fired from a semi ought -- automatic weapon. >> it makes you wonder did someone just want to kill him and in the rob him because they are shooting so many times w these automatic weapons cops say you can get 12 shots off in 72nd and maybe
7:07 am
somebody doesn't know how to use a gun during a robbery this guy did not get shot 11 times and still gets killed. shoot a guy 12 times over 20 bunks that a delivery guy may be lucky to have on him and that is after he makes a delivery this could have been a set up. that is why they went back to the new china restaurant over on rising sun avenue trying to find out who made that call whether they still had that phone number and if they can trace it back through the phone number and find out if that is the killer this was a set up all along or random robbery after a legitimate delivery. homicide still out in the northeast trying to learn the answers to all of these questions, alex and mike. >> either way, it is not a good situation. >> dangerous business late at night. >> 7:07. a septa bus fire is under investigation. broad happened in broad and paterson in south philadelphia. this was just before 1:30 this morning. there were passengers on the bus at the time but everyone got out safely. a south philadelphia block is mourning the loss of a long time friend, and father figure, after a devastating

7:12 am
two american al qaeda members were also reported killed. these two shown here who was hit in the second strike. even those deaths were a surprise to the cia. president obama has relied extensively on a drone campaign to take outer wrist for two reasons. the attacks carry very little risk to u.s. forces and simply killing terrorist, stops a thorny issue in the time when president is trying to close terrorist detention facility in guantanamo bay. this is a reminder that these surgical strikes can carry reallies accounts and they raise serious legal questions especially when american members of the al qaeda are the the target. >> the the president cannot just kill them. >> that is a war crime. >> reporter: now everyone agree they are talking about a war crime here but this is an interesting next us between lynn tear yan republicans and liberal democrats who are very

hey, the end is near for tropical can a if the tropicana can turnaround the whole city can turnaround. you have to look for that example. you have to make it clean, make it nice and make it hip that people want to be there. >> some people are saying casinos aren't the way to go, we were talking about the future of atlantic city. >> well, yeah, it is factory that levittown, auto business that left detroit. i understand what they are saying but they have a lot of other stuff then casinos now. i don't know if families will ever wanting to to atlantic city like north wildwood and ocean city. i think you have to go for a certain market. go for young crowd. mike you are a permanent young hip store but they have little girls getting married, all having their parties there. i think young people like atlantic city, like hanging out there. when they do get married and have children maybe they will want to bring their families there. you start with a new generation of people and make that place feel like home to them. then they will bring their kid
7:37 am
there once you get the a a myself. parks and basketball shop. >> 2,000 people rushed in there to see the first day of bass shop. i was amaze todde how many people were there. >> why can't you make it look more like ocean city or wildwood? mix in a little amusement parks and pizza shop and let cruise ship pull up there and dock in atlantic city. >> reporter: did you know bars are opened 24 hours a day in atlantic city. >> i know. >> reporter: you could drink shots and beer right now in atlantic city and there are no bars or restaurants serving liquor in ocean city. you will not make those two anywhere similar. i don't think you want another ocean city because there are people that like to do stuff that atlantic city has to offer. they need get word out. people don't know taj mahal inside there they have another white house sub shop. that is the best food in the world. if i had last meal on death row would i want a white house sandwich. those rolls from atlantic city is best bread in the world.
7:38 am
something to do with the air and water. ac has cool stuff that people don't necessity b they need to get somebody that knows about it and get the word out. >> you should contact the people at the the white house right now and suggest that hud be their new ad campaign. if you are going to have your last meal. >> on death row. >> on death row, this is death row good. >> yes, how about that. >> maybe. >> death row delicious. >> or steve should run for mayor. >> governor at this point. >> thanks, steve. >> 7:38. you may soon have to pay 5 cents for every plastic or paper bag at a the grocery store. why? we will tell you.

tough story to tell you yesterday, president obama has ordered a a review in the air strikes that mistakenly killed two terror hostages in pakistan right along the boarder with afghanistan. incident sparking more scrutiny and debate over obama administration's frequent use of drones to target terrorist. the the deaths were just made public yesterday because this happened back in january. american warren weinstein was kidnaped in 2011. he had been in pakistan working with the united states agency for international development as a aid worker. the other hostage was an italian citizen this will be a topic of discussion this weekend with "fox news" sunday chris wallace. chris, good to have have you back here in philly. drone strikes. it seems like they were at their peak back in 2010/11. >> i'm not sure, they before more active then, then right new but they have been a key weapon that the president has used, in his efforts to take out al qaeda they have been enormously successful. the the president has set a
8:40 am
very stringent standard which is near certainty that in civilians will be killed let alone any hostages but in this case, near certainty is not complete certainty. they said drones had been surveying this al qaeda compound and it was an al qaeda compound for hundreds of hours. they have seen no indication that there was anybody else except al qaeda operatives in the compound and they were wrong as it turns out. look, maybe u.s. can do things better but there is never a hundred percent certainty there was not hundred percent certainty when rangers went into take auto sam a bin laden. we have to remember the prime responsibility is the responsibility that the al qaeda had taken these people hostage years ago and kept them hostage. the that is why these guys are dead today. >> in another drone strike around this same time they did take out a couple of americans who were sympathetic to al qaeda and were some of the leaders of al qaeda trying to influence here in the states. i don't think the government
8:41 am
knew they were in that compound either. >> they say they didn't. i don't know how from the air you would be able to tell one al qaeda operative from another, and obviously, because of the process you have to go flaw fit is an american citizen who was taken out by a drone in yemen, the white house is saying we had no idea that these particular al qaeda operatives, americans were there. so aim he sure there will be a big review, to try to say how can we have greater certainty who it is we're striking and who it the is, that we need to stay away from. >> if we did know that the two americans were with al qaeda were in there, would we have to get congress permission to send in a drone then. >> no, not congressional, i think it would have to be a presidential fining. they made it clear while the president took responsibility, that like a lot of these drone strikes he wasn't specifically involved and didn't approve just one. there are rules of the road that he has set up and it was
8:42 am
cia operatives operating the drone and decided to strike in this particular case but it does involve more bureaucracy when it is an american. there are all kind of questions of civil liberties and rights of american citizens even if they are al qaeda operatives. >> real quickly who is on sunday. >> big story this week politically in washington is the hillary clinton scandal, the book, clinton cash, hundreds of millions of dollars that was given to the foundation, millions of dollars giving to bill clinton speaking fees. did donors get something in return. we will have the first live interview peter switzer, we will talk to lenny davis who was i a special counsel in the white house to will give hillary clinton's side of the story. >> thanks, chris. >> you bet, thanks. you heard about the controversy that doctor oz is going through did the a attack on him by ten other doctors backfire? ten doctors are a accusing him of having quack treatments on his national television show.
8:43 am
how he is hitting back, at his critics. he will be live with us in just a few minutes.
8:44 am
8:45 am
there is a time on the screen?
8:46 am
>> it is 8:45. >> it the is right. >> so let me answer her. >> someone says, tracie holy, same last name, fix the time my head will explode. heel be late to work. >> maybe her clock is wrong. >> you are off your clock. >> i am in the trying to be funny but that happens to me too. >> you are off your clocker. >> it is not me, it is you. >> another guy that says mike, don't use the the jamaica joke on miss jamaica. >> it is not a good would be. you need to come to her and say something no man has ever said to her before. >> what could that be, that is tough. >> i'm not sure. >> that is the thing. that will make you stand out. if you figure it out she will remember you, and she will not forget you. >> like you don't sweat much for a skinny person, something like that. >> i said something that is nice. >> maybe ill will's do this. look, i can take my thumb off.
8:47 am
>> then she thinks you air ten year-old boy. >> just something like a nice i am is many hello. >> you had me at will hello. >> yes. >> that has already been used. >> is doctor oz ready. >> no. >> let's talk about this. >> we will talk to doctor oz. >> he is getting himself together. >> we need to help find this woman. she publicly shame a man by out flexing him. they have these at fat ballgames. they have the flex cam. you go around and show off your guns. the get a ticket to the gun show, right. >> sort of. >> yes. >> flex cam goes around and sees this guy. there is a woman behind him and she puts the guns on full display, watch this. >> it is time for flex cam, show us your muscles. >> yes. >> wow, wow. >> what is this. >> my goodness.
8:48 am
>> oh my gosh. >> you have been stoned, my brother, look at this. >> yes. >> she is jacked up. >> get on twitter and facebook and instagram do you think that was a set up. >> girl power though. >> yeah. >> it looked real to me. >> lets get to doctor oz because he is talk of the entire country. listen this from his show, ten doctors basically attacking him saying they want him out at columbia university. >> you may have seen headlines attacking me this past week after a brazen letter from ten mysterious doctors calling for my removal from columbia university medical school where i have been proudly been on the faculty for almost 20 years. ten doctors who attacked me got what they intended, sensational headlines and sound by the. i long believe that doctors should never fight their battles or each other in public but now i believe i must. >> you said you will never be silenced. good job yesterday, doctor oz. now, deep down inside what do
8:49 am
you think this is really all about? >> i think there are a couple factors but most importantly i don't think people really understand the show. it is more just a medical lecture. it business celebrating life, helping people understand they can become world experts of their bodies. on is times that means i talk about stuff that can bother special interest groups. in this case these ten authors had connections to gm o funded organizations, so there was a conflict of interest on their part but they accused me of one. i don't sell anything off the show. i do everything i can to let folks who our advertisers are. i took them to task yesterday on the program. is there a broader issue as well. i know folks hear what we talk about on the show, viewers take that fur to the the doctor's offices. i get positive feedback and some get frustrated at the aim time talking about what i'm discussing on the show rather than the medical issue that patient came to see them with. that is who i am. my job has always been i perceive to look at an
8:50 am
unconventional place where wellness lives. >> you say in the beginning i don't think people fully understand the show and they get frustrated. do you think people can company more then and people will understand and get it. >> i think viewers understand the show without question. critics of the show who generally don't watch the show see me on internet pieces trying to sell them, weight loss product. i admitly if i could take back word i ever say, weight loss supplements i would be happy because those little pieces have gone into spam folders from people all over this nation. they think i'm selling that stuff. is there so much fraud both in the research and products and they have hijacked message of the show in many ways. but viewers understand, where we're out there giving them best insights as possible. we are buttoned up when we talk about health and medical topics. when getting in unconventional areas we will talk about prayer and celebrities will share insights about their own health. the job toys let that breathe so viewers candy side what they want to do with it.
8:51 am
>> you end every show saying if you see this stuff on the internet, i'm not selling anything. you reminus every day. this is how i describe your show. you are presenting all sorts of information, then i can make up my own mind whether i want to go out and try it or whatever. >> i think that is the the right way, message to be delivered. unfortunately when you are criticizing the show because you don't see it very often and all you are focused on are small bits and pieces that are heard, because it gets more difficult to put your armed around that theme. i'm very prosecuted of what we do. i'm's confident in what we deliver. i have said on the show i will not be silenced because what we are saying is so important to our audience. >> congratulations, grand daddy, again, to be. >> yeah, middle of all this craziness, we have learned that daf any is pregnant again. she will be a big sister good well, congratulations, so exciting. >> we will be watching today doctor oz, hang in there. >> thanks, my friend.
8:52 am
>> take care. >> 8:51. in miss jamaica is in the building. turf make a final decision on the joke. >> i'll help you out. we will brain storm here. >> i will get talk to her.
