to heal, a city trying to get back on it feet, city certainly not back to normal, keep in mind, baltimore orioles game for the first time in major league baseball history will be played without fans. close to the public. schools back in session today, but what happened here over the last couple of days, definitely a ripple effect. let's talk a wake here, show you what, dave, if we can just walk up here, this is at one of the main intersections, this, we couldn't walk down here yesterday a line of law enforcement in tactical gear, about two, three deep. of course, now, eight hours later, this section is now open. rush hour traffic on the way to work, people going to school, we see school children walking by, the only thing would you know that happened here last night is the debris on the sidewalk, and, you know, police about dozen strong on each corner.

down, 95 north coming up from delaware county headed up to the commodore barry. good news, cleared the crash crews town road rising sun avenue. it involved the police officer. good news, they opened south park avenue. this is the scene, however, roads not paved. they couldn't clean up the material spilled. they had to shave the roadway, mill the road surface, so it is a bumpy ride, rowing through audubon. but at least the roads open this morning. today safety awareness day on the regional rail. septa, they have about 400 of their employees out at 100 train stations, getting the word out to respect the rales trains quiet, texting, tweeting, listening to their ipads, and those trains come up on you fast. they'll be out there giving you some pamphlets, some information to read while you take your ride in work today.

there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse, i'll take them to federal court. as mayor, i'll do what's right for them. has, has anybody else been experiencing (brad) holy cats!

gray tragic death. but, on the day of his funeral , and with family has asked, even the peaceful protesters, not the protests. hours later, we see that casino of chaos, and mayhem. the mayor, stephanie rawlings blake, friend every mine, very strong leader, engaged in the reform process with the department of justice, which we just announced the results of our same issues, with regard to officer involved shootings, and use of force, she asked justice to come in. she has to make a judgement, you know, how engaged are you going to be with a group of high school teenagers coming out of school? obviously won't stands for the kind of activity that went on out there. they had a measured approach to try to deal with it, young people and other, got out of hand, and they obviously had to call in additional resources. the city -- >> a lot of restraint. >> and working with the governor down there, you got

the baltimore police department, the state police, the national guard, and out resources, but, what's most important is that we saw the worse of a few people, monday day and monday night, and the best of most of baltimore ands yesterday, and yesterday evening, and folks coming out, doing what they need to do about their community. and that's where we really need to stay focused, and everyone of our cities, mayors across the united state, are concerned about these kind of incidents, and events, we're actually hosting group of mayors, for the next few days, cities united effort, which is focused on violence, in the african-american community, young men and boys, and so, working with mayor mitchell andrew out of new orleans, he and i have co-founded this organization, cities united, now 74 mayors, across the united state of america, have signed on, to this effort, to speak about and table, doctor

it's a money maker. i mean, i just feel like our children are paying the price for these high stakes tests and their teachers are stressed out about it. so, teachers aren't benefiting. they're not getting information from these tests that are helpful for teaching. kids aren't benefiting because they don't even know what they got right or wrong. they just know that they feel really bad about it. parents aren't benefitting because i don't get any more information about my child. so the only people that could possibly be benefitting from this are corporations who are making the tests and selling the tests.
