7:04 am
terrifying it was, for people that was there seeing it all unfold live on the 4700 block of leaper yesterday. this was cell phone video that captured the scary moments of the toddler teetering on the edge of the third floor roof of the home while the child's mother was apparently next door. according to police her baby and friend's child were left alone in the house. neighbors were yelling to stay put don't move. fortunately those frantic command were enough to keep two-year old attention until fire fighters and police arrived. they attached a ladder to the roof but as we could see child moving toward that ladder. an officer was able to get up there bring the baby through window safely, although stunning to people were there to witness it. >> my gosh, where is the parents, how could they do this. i walk up and seen the baby outside on the ledge, window up, all by himself in the

7:10 am
well, they is, former governor mike huckabee is expected to announce his run for president, again. in 2008 mike huckabee won eight primaries, in states heavily influenced by social conservatives but he could not keep up with the eventual nominee? do you remember who that was? john mccain. former technology executive karlie fear rena and ben carson threw their hats in the political ring. that ring must be pretty big. a lot of hats. another presidential candidate will appear in court later this month. hillary clinton agreed to testify on capitol hill about the a attacks in benghazi, libya and her e-mail practices. clinton's lawyer wrote to lawmakers yesterday telling them she would agree from the request from the special panel investigating the 202 attacks that killed four americans but she will testify for only one obsession the the the committee chairman had requested that she appear twice, once for a hearing on her use of private e-mails and another session on benghazi. well, coming up on 7:11.

two former political allies of new jersey governor chris christie, they say they are not guilty in the bridge gate scandal. >> this is getting interesting, isn't it. former christie staffer bridget ann kelly told the the judge she is not guilty. she did that yesterday in the new washing courtroom. so did bill baroni, a one time top port authority official. the paris charged with conspiring to snarl traffic around the george washington bridge on the first day of school, two years ago. to punish the local mayor. this allegedly all stems from fort lee new jersey marry fuse to go endorse governor christie's reelection. bill baroni says i didn't do anything wrong. >> i will testify on my own behalf as soon as the trial begins and i will spend every day working to clear my name and get my reputation back. >> unless something changes the u.s. attorney says there will be no other charges in this case. governor chris christie
7:12 am
tweeted out this proves he had no role in this scheme. well, philadelphia mayor's office fears a potential new app that allows to you pay for parking just by using your phone will actually end up hurt ing school funding. >> parking authority is waiting for the green light from city hall. they already have permission from the state, steve. >> reporter: well, not permission. the state runs philadelphia's parking authority despite the name. state took it over during john street's reign because it was a patronage pitch. but the top guy wants to help people, and, easier to pay the meter. so they are balking at this, and they are just going to say, everything good, all there for the people, we're there for people who go to restaurants and shop and spend
7:13 am
their money in center city. why would they want to still get parking tickets. >> well, they still want parking ticket fines. two tickets guy parked behind us this guy is in favor of it. what this is, it is an app wildwood has. it is not just big cities like phoenix, and washington, but wildwood has this. wildwood on the cutting edge. what it does is it send you a text message to your phone to say hey, your time is up at your parking spot, and it also allows you number two, to add time and pay for it from where ever you are with your phone, without go to race three blocks back from the rittenhouse square restaurant that you are at to your parking space to make sure you don't get a parking ticket. so that is what is wrong with it. simply because the head of the transportation and utilities department, did you know city hall has that department. >> you know, i did not. >> neither did i. never heard of it before. but that guy was among those
7:14 am
at council yesterday because council commit thee approved this, and he said we need more detail analysis, the state run agency about how this will affect the school district and their 9.7 million they get in mostly from parking tickets. thinks outraging our viewers obviously and outraging the readers of the inquirer article and listening to kyw news radio and hearing this story every where this morning because why wouldn't you do something to help people? that will also help businesses and bring more money into the city? this why people wonder what is going on with some people in the political world. >> that is for sure. number one story on twitter in our area. >> thanks, steve. parts of the kansas are drying out after heavy rainfall. >> it is a little town mountain central town of kansas where kansas state university is. they call it the the little apple in the northern part of the state. drench. 4 inches of rain, very

7:16 am
were yesterday. 65 degrees in the city. sixty-one mount pocono. sixty-two in reading and wilmington. look we have reached 70 degrees, in dover delaware. these temperatures are anywhere from seven to 10 degrees, to 13 degrees to 50 degrees, warmer then they were yesterday at this time. it bode well for a warm day. we will get cloud later on and we may not get up to 85. we will still be in the 80's today. we have 9-mile an hour breeze out of the southwest, breezes kick up to 20, 25 miles an hour at times yesterday. that really made for a comfortable 85 degrees, something we usually cannot say in the summertime when it is so oppressive and humid. we are watching this area of rain that looks like it is trying to move into lancaster county out of hageers town maryland but not very successfully. this is the area of rain we will need to watch later in the day as this cold front makes its the way toward us. progress is supposed to be pretty slow, so we do have
7:17 am
some showers, and thunderstorms popping up in the afternoon today, in the evening, tonight, and then things could get rocking and rolling after dark with the possibility of these thunderstorms, you see them coming through at 8:00 or 9:00 e philadelphia area. it could get kind of loud. maybe you won't get a thunderstorm but if udal's know it. then tomorrow a lot of cloud cover, the rest of this front comes through. it looks like a unsettled weather day on wednesday but lots of improvement in time for the weekend starting on thursday with the high of 78 degrees. 84 degrees on friday as the the 80's return. boy do they return. we will have 88 degrees, possibly on mothers day, so heat and humidity, could be returning, by then. so, enjoy those comfortable temperatures while they are still here, bob kelly. >> sound good. 7:17. good morning. we have got some sun glare every where this morning. here's a live look at blue route saint david, villanova
7:18 am
down through route one there. sun popping over the tree line. this is blue route 476 out of mid county, delays already, what a difference, as you work your way down toward the schuylkill expressway. northbound i-95, sun glare heading up toward philadelphia international. an accident on the freeway, coming in toward philadelphia, bumper to bumper from the black horse pike and route 55, accident there, right before your working your way in the construction zone. this new project began yesterday for anyone heading in and through marple newtown high school there this morning and for next couple weeks, media line road down to one lane between route three and 252. may not that be bad for the morning but the afternoon, especially with any of the sport activity here at the high school give yourself some extra time. delays coming from collegeville and 422, sun glare popping around that conshohocken curve. also delays on the schuylkill leaving town, and then an accident on the boulevard, southbound, adams avenue.
7:19 am
mass transit looking g mike and alex, back to you. two metro trains carrying passengers, crashed leaving at least 12 people injured. >> no official word yet about what caused it, why the the two cars smashed into it yesterday. fire crews told the media that there were no deaths from the accident, thank goodness, metro system, wrote on its twitter account three of the 12 were hospitalized. office are drove stranded passengers to the next station in police trucks and then they were able to go on their journal friday there. 7:19. >> well, more than 3 million people watched mayweather pacquiao fight on pay peru but how much were watching it for free. >> illegally. >> the issue that was streaming the fight on periscope. >> but from peoples home. >> for fight night. >> wish i knew they were doing that i would have done it for free. moms, how much do you think you should make for all of the work you do around the

7:23 am
about every three months we do this story, and it just fluctuates. how much would a mom make if she got paid for all of the functioning she does inside the home? lets say she did she functioning outside the home how much would she be paid annually. >> lauren a has the answer, lauren. >> i do have two answers for you. >> okay good we can debate it. >> ensure.com says mom makes $65,000 a year because she's everything from the chef to the day care, center operator to the teacher to the psychologist, right. they say that is a 4 percent raise from last year. but salary.com says that she makes, this is for stay at home, full-time mom, working
7:24 am
full-time, 96 hours a week, she makes one 19,000 dollars a year. >> okay. >> does all of the same tasks, the difference is the numbers, like salary.com is probably tracking, you know, rival positions, ensure.com is using government numbers. >> foreign sure what was the the figure. >> sixty-five or 119. >> that is way low, that is ensure. >> that is low. >> what is the other one, salary.com. >> 119. >> wow. >> i think they are both low to tell you the truth. >> um-hmm. >> i do. >> so if you got paid an individual basis, i will pay you as a chef you would get this amount of money. >> they add it all up. >> and then a housekeeper, what else, baby-sitter. >> yes. >> the the exact number is too. >> for instance. >> lay it on me. >> mom makes ten bucks an hour as a cook, 12 bucks as an hour
7:25 am
as a driver, taking care of the kid, $11, a nurse, she puts band-aid, that is 18.50 an hour, that is where she's making her money. that is what mom does. here, $25 because, she takes care of all of the bills. so technically mommies an accountant. >> that is why we love our momma lieutenant of moms have real jobs too outside the home. >> yeah. >> do you have any children. >> nope, not yet. >> do you want to. >> reporter: i do, i want kids. >> no, she has a husband. >> she has a husband but she called you his name. >> that is true. >> i don't know what is going on. >> how is mark doing. >> he is great, mark is great. >> okay. >> he has been a nurse lately to me because you can see, i have a sti on my eye ape doctor says i have to soak it. >> you can see it. >> it is tweaking.
7:26 am
>> i have to soak it 40 minutes a day with hot compresses but they never stay hot. he is really good, ringing it out and putting it on. >> i should pay him. >> so annoying. >> you have something in between your teeth. >> busted. >> thanks, lauren. >> 7:26. >> by the way she's on fox business network every evening, flip around until you find it. there is an energy drink sparked with some controversy, i want to you answer this question, do you notice anything offensive about the name. the the name is 5150 and i wish i didn't know what that meant, if you know what i mean. lets go to jen because she's with one funny mother. >> okay, first of all mike, cameraman has already been beaten by the dog so we are beating lauren. we are talking about what is happening in moorestown. this is 7:00 o'clock in the morning, ladies and gentlemen,
7:27 am
this is what you need to see. one funny mother does not mess around in moorestown. we will talk about embarrassing mom moments because we have had a couple this morning, all right. come on back, it is fun. there's over two hundred thousand students in philadelphia. jim kenney and tony williams are fighting over
7:28 am
public schools versus charters. i think they're both wrong...it's making sure they all get a good education. teachers should have their contracts respected. they also should be held accountable. and it's wrong philadelphia gets less school funding than other parts of pennsylvania. i'll work with harrisburg to change that. but if they refuse, i'll take them to federal court. as mayor, i'll do what's right for them.
7:29 am
i get out of work, and i go to the store, and somebody says, smellin' around, "i smell cookies." i said, "oh no you just smell me, i just got out of work, that's honey bunches of oats, that's all." i said "don't eat me now." by the way we're broadcasting on periscope, you have to have
7:30 am
an iphone. >> yes, you have to. i'm sure we will retweet it. >> is there tom. >> right there. >> our executive producer. >> you can see him to infinity. >> and beyond. >> yes. >> wow. >> and it is different. we have what we call sky fox, the the folks from sly fox sent me this water bottle here. they are a group of runners. they run four days a week, 800 members, they meet every year, 35 to 40 races and track meets per year. so they invited us to come out. i don't know whether or not we will be able to do that for a track meet or a run but -- >> i will to have do my nails. >> and hit the road in the afternoon. >> how wonderful. >> thanks for that. >> lets do weather and traffic, and then we will talk periscope. >> right now we are talking cinco de mayo, it is today, bus stop buddy, i guess we're
7:31 am
celebrating with the hat, the marac cas going on, comfortable start to the day and we are sunshine. we will see increase in cloud, a little later on, out of the ten, number we are giving today is a seven, because of the chance of thunderstorms later on. we're watching a renegade area of showers in lancaster county right now that just popped up, well ahead of the cold front which we will show you in a few minutes. sixty-five right now walking out the door very comfortable and we will get warm again, high of 83 degrees. watch out for thunderstorms later on in the afternoon. that is your tuesday fox cast, and seven day is coming up, bob kelly. >> sue, good morning. we are looking live at the skew you kill expressway, eastbound, do you see that bus off to what would be the right shoulder there. it is attracting attention for folks working their way in from king of prussia and in the tunnels underneath 30th
7:32 am
street station an accident eastbound on the schuykill expressway, again, police are on the scene there. that is causing delays into philadelphia coming into the city during the day heads up, penndot roving penndot crews will be out there on the schuylkill expressway, in both directions between city avenue and center city. right now we are dealing with a lot of sun glare on both not only schuylkill expressway, i-95, 422 but mass transit looking good with no delays, mike and alex, back over to you. everyone was talking about watching mayweather pacquiao fight a lot of people have fight parties. >> yes good watching at home like you were. >> there were more than 3 million individual pay purview buys. >> how much did they pay. >> $100. >> a lot of money. >> wow. >> it turns out there was a way for people to watch this thing without paying anything at all, video streaming apps like periscope, allowed users to stream fight on their tv or from the arena live.
7:33 am
and then broadcast all over the world for free. it sound like a great idea but was it legal? lisa garber is here, corporate council for a group. >> what does that group do. >> technology technology company specializing in cyber security and digital forensic. >> so, tom loudon is shooting through his cell even if and broadcasting on something called periscope. >> i love the social media savvy today. periscope is a live streaming rid yes application and functions off of the twitter platform just like merecat. they were launched within months. they allow users to view and broadcast, live streaming video. so perriescope keeps the feed for 24 hours and merecat they disappear after they are streamed. >> this is similar to you stream because you street people start doing live
7:34 am
streaming events and everything. >> this is making it more main stream. >> so on his little camera there he is basically a mini tv station in his hand. people from around the world. tom what parts of the world are watching. >> australia, it thely. >> that is pretty good. >> watching us right now. >> a lot of people they were doing this for the fight, even before the fight there were two networks trying to have a live stream and they got hit with a lawsuit. >> hbo and show time both set up a joint lawsuit against web sites, periscope, merecat to get an injunction against live streaming because this had a wall. this had a 100-dollar cost. there are cost for bars to showcase it. people were trying to get around that. periscope is associated with getting around this legal implications and for this fight, this was a copy right content. >> so it is new technology and now legal system has to catch up to it.
7:35 am
>> legal system has to catch up. it is not that they have to reinvent the wheel because these issues were address with you tube a couple years prior. they have a system called content id. actual owners of copy righted content can go in, find their content when it is a available on you tube and they can choose to block it. see a screen when you try to reach it. track it to attain big data from it or put ads in front of it. these apps will to have keep up with that mentality because it is copy right infringement, ip issues at stake good did you see that, at a ladies golf tournament, lpga one of the reporters was streaming the practice. people got upset. there she is, stephanie wii was periscoping the practice session. >> if i'm sitting at home and people are doing this for game of thrones, can i get in trouble though, can they come looking for me because as a user, using periscope.
7:36 am
>> there are certain companies that are trying to pursue legal action against individuals. while it is an exciting medium, and everybody can be a broadcaster, and put out there their entire lives. >> is anybody responding to lisa. >> yes, most people are assaying copy right,. >> yes. >> that is exactly right. >> it is a great analogy. >> trinidad is watching "good day philadelphia". >> so basically they are saying they don't care good when lime wire was big but once they start picking out people and press conferences, look at what is happening. this can happen to you. >> seeing alex holley in the handcuffs because of game of thrones. >> lisa, great job. >> thank you, owe good to see you both. >> it has been a while. >> hello to everybody on periscope. >> we will see you next time on periscope. >> how many people watch, tom. >> well over a hundred. >> yes. >> that is pretty cool.
7:37 am
>> it is future. >> you get likes and that brings you up in the stream so you get more and more popular good people watching make little comments. >> it shows up on the screen. >> yes. >> they will be able to do this 24 hours from now. >> i'll go back and watch it over and over. >> thank you. it has been eight months since the world lost joan rivers. now her daughter melissa will be on doctor oz. >> she's talking about how she's dealing witt. we will talk to doctor oz in just a bit.
