beachgoers. and on saturday night a fire started. as you can see the building is boarded up. the first thing that i noticed was the smell. matthew ellison has been an instructor here. >> we are all going through a range of emotions. it is devastating but in the same breath we understand that over the years here at the walls and the roots of this place are not just in the boards. >> i walked in there, some of the items from the surf shop or in there. and then we walked around back of the surf shop where you can see basically a yard of about nifty to 70 surfboards that were completely lost in the fire.

some people are fishing in the end it controversy. >> after 9/11, security was tightened around the nation's water supply like this reservoir. fences were put around it and they employ security to do regular patrol to make sure that there is no mischief going on because we were afraid of terrorist threats. no time is more important than now since we have isis causing such problems and increasing our security threat levels. you can imagine my surprise when we saw a tweet about this reservoir that security is not a priority and a picture of people fishing in the reservoir. >> we received a picture of people illegally fishing in this jersey city city water supply. i came here to the reservoir to see if i could find anything like that happening. >> i went all the way around the reservoir. there are fences.

and this right here where there was no fence, this is where people were fishing. >> i have been fishing there since 1958. >> they said no permits are allowed for fishing in this area. >> there's homeland security going down here. >> the whole thing is fenced off and so far it is. i've been walking around and seeing it. but i guess there are missing links and i guess that doesn't keep people out. bill: before 9/11 fishermen and people were using the water no one cared and it wasn't a conversation about one person fishing in the reservoir and if

it would hurt the water supply. but now it's isis. >> i am most definitely not trespassing and yet i am right by the water. which this is, i guess, this is not protected. but yet it is still the jersey city water supply that is right there. bill: the question is what are they doing about it? >> the reservoir is not the only place for the water is going to be treated. we have systems and play going up to the top. >> i am getting myself ready for this helicopter.
