7:02 am
we have 69 degrees, in philadelphia, yeah, dew points are down so enjoy the comfort. it is often humidity and not the heat. today we will have heat and will have 87 for a high temperature, plenty of sunshine, we will see a rain free day for most. 66 degrees is our overnight low with mostly clear skies. again our location is 38th street and beautiful ocean. we are looking at the the dunes and sunrising, bob kelly, it doesn't get much better then this it is lovely. >> it doesn't. you have a great start to the morning. crowds are light because they went to the no shower happy hour yesterday at ocean drive and they stayed later than happy hour. good morning everybody. 7:02. we are dealing with the accident here. this is southbound lanes have of route 202, right here near paoli pike in west chester. only one lane squeezing on through here. it looks like we have police vehicles trying to work their
7:03 am
way up through the actual jam. eastbound on the schuylkill expressway disable off to the side here near montgomery drive but we are starting to see some wick sun glare popping up as well here this morning. we have an accident southbound lanes of 476 in the area of route one. that accident a few moments ago from sky fox has just turned fatal, fatal crash in saint georgees delaware cox neck road near clarks corner road and watch for police activity there. otherwise we are slow go on the schuylkill, sun glare coming around the curve, delays near city avenue. southbound avenue we are jammed betsy ross to girard. delays southbound in the area of route one, an accident taking out of the left lane. and then this weekend be prepared for delays coming into the city on the schuylkill, tonight and tomorrow night beginning at 9:00 o'clock, penndot will set up shop and they will repave the schuylkill between montgomery and girard. so coming in the city for late

7:06 am
is on parole. that violates parole. that is least of the charges now but enough alone to hold him once he is caught. when detectives figured this guy lived close to the two victims from march and may they are shaking their head when they learned he lived on the same street as victim number one on march 26th and parked the car from victim number two on monday on the very same street he lived on and victim number one lives on chadwick street. heavily arm police were also armed with the search warrant when they went into his house with the battering ram at 3:30 in the afternoon and that was just four hours after they held their latest news conference with the best yet surveillance still pictures as soon as the public saw them, on tv and internet along with the $10,000 reward offer the tip calls came flooding in, putting a name with the face, and that familiar street chadwick right under the name. >> rahim i want to you come home give this up. get everything straightened
7:07 am
out so you can be home here with me. i know you didn't do that what they are saying you are doing so please come home to your mother. >> my personal feeling is that is how sadistic and bold he is. that he found the opportunity he was able to get in and out of that house without anybody seeing him or hearing him and he took the the opportunity and went back. that is bold sadistic move of this gentlemen right here this offender. >> all of the more reason that as we say the intent is to encourage the public, the neighborhood, members of the community to take a look at these most recent skills, take a look at that video footage which shows gate, the way the individual carries himself, the way he walks, put that together and if you believe you know this individual, all we need is that tip. >> as two good cobbs right there darby and mcfadden. you could see anger on tony
7:08 am
mcfadden face and how he treats every victim like they are his daughter. you can see how he wanted this guy because he led that team. he went from this news conference here put on that vest and was in there after the battering ram knock the door down. a among items found on that search warrant items he stole from the victim on monday, keys, id, card along with what he was seen wearing from the shirt and jacket down to those shoes that police are matching with the footprint that he left in the victim's bathroom shower as he waited for her to go to bed. lastly his ultimate evidence those red gloves that were the key link to both cases that both victims said they he saw in the dark, red or bright orange hunter blaze gloves and they have them. they didn't get the jackpot they were looking for and that was getting the guy without a warning. that is why they went in with that battering ram. they are confident they will get him. they went to three different places after getting more tips, they are hoping more tips lead to the fourth place abe they will find him this time but unless he comes on
7:09 am
his own they will to have go get him and they are hoping somebody watching right now will either recognize those pictures or necessary him and maybe he has asked for help will call police and help the public instead of this guy. >> that is for sure and is there that $10,000 reward. gruesome discovery in tinicum township. >> person walking a dog stum old cross a suitcase yesterday with the body inside. the body appears to be man in his 20's. sky fox near second street and essington, delaware county coroner is now looking into how the the man died, and who he was. a grandmother in upper darby is in big trouble, police say this isn't her first run in with the law. prosecutors have charged her, carmeta with child endangerment and lying to the police after police officers received word that a three-year old boy was hanging out of the second story window, on oxford street. when officers got there they a that is exactly what they

7:11 am
standardized testing they are always toward the top on the national scale. however these tests don't tell the whole story. yesterday he was here in burlington county and he came forward saying he wants to abandon the common core because while students can pass a test they are not adequately prepared for college. christie says new jersey students need standard designed specifically for them to push for high earache not simply bridge the gap between the economically advantaged and disadvantaged. the christie's plan is to develop a new curriculum, but yet still insist that new jersey students take the par cc test as a means to receive federal educational funding. parcc test are designed based on common core curriculum standard. >> this will in no way a affect our efforts to continue effective testing and measurement of our students through the parcc test. we must continue to review and improve that test based on results, not based upon fear and rumor, and speculation,
7:12 am
but results. i'm not going to permit new jersey risk vital education fund because some would prefer to let the perfect get in the way of the good. we must test our children, because federal law requires it and because it is the only way to objectively judge our practicing gress. >> reporter: new jersey teachers union says christie's plan to overhaul curriculum but insist on parcc testing is illogical saying if the governors interested in these standard the state must abandon the parcc fiasco, which is taking a terrible toll on the quality of instruction and student learning in new jersey. he went on to say it is unfair for students and teach's like to test children and teachers based on standards that the governor says simply are not working. so now the governor is working with the new jersey department of education to come up with a group of new jersey school leaders and parents to go through the currencies tell and come up with recommendations on how to improve the standard, for new

7:14 am
love this guy's name, seth bladder made his first public remarks since several other international soccer officials were indicted for bribery, racketeering and fraud. this guy bladder says he cannot machine for everybody in his organization and insists that he cannery store faith in world soccer as he tries to win his fifth bid as president. so, bladder, has already served 17 years as fifa's chief, should he be reelect after all this? but the you had says, it will vote for opponent, jordan's prince ali binal hussein in today's election. we want this guy out apparently here in the united states. u.s. soccer officials do. federal health officials say four lab workers exposed to live anthrax are not sick. but they say those people should take antibiotics as a precaution. this is after the army mistakenly shipped samples of
7:15 am
anthrax to their labs. one of the labs is in delaware. meanwhile, officials say that human error was probably not a factor in the mistaken ship. , but they say the problem may have been a failure in the technical process of killing the anthrax samples. if you understood that i want to you come here to the studio and explain to it me. >> my goodness. >> that would be great. >> 7:15. >> well, it is hot. >> it is muggy not really because we had a cold front moving through if you were paying attention. >> it was muggy yesterday. >> miserable yesterday. >> sticky. with you if you want to complain just take a look at this mountains and mountains of what is that? that is snow, kids. dirty disgusting snow. >> what? >> that is still on the ground after the huge snowfall up in boston. it hasn't melted yet. snow piles from that record setting new england winter are still around some parts of the city and they are filled with goo and trash.

7:17 am
>> yoga a. >> yes. >> yoga on the beach. >> what time does that happen. >> 7:30 on the dot so i have to get to class i'm late, i'm late sue. >> so glad you stopped by to say hi. >> thank you you. >> nicole watches good day. >> you guys are my favorites, every morning. >> go practice. >> tree pose. >> i think what we will do is watch that class next time from our vantage point here at 38th street if you want to stop by and say hi. lets get to the weather and number of the day, which is -- we did number last time. this is time for radar. a quick look at the the showers dissipating quite a bit in southern delaware just a few here and there, a little shower in seaford delaware this sussex county. yes, sea isle is beautiful this morning and our shore temperatures are mostly in the low to mid 60's, this morning. you add that sea breeze and you do need a jacket, or maybe
7:18 am
some long sleeves like nicole haddon but it is a lovely morning and shore cast for today and pretty much tomorrow too, lower 07's on the beach, southeasterly breeze at ten, low risk of rip currents and surf temperature around 60 degrees, nine is your uv index very high so you need that sun screen and make sure urea reply. i know i'm a nag but i don't care. current temperatures in the region 50's in the poconos. seventy's to the south. we are in the upper 60's. we are close to 07 degrees in philadelphia right now. seven day forecast has a high of 87 degrees today, 87 tomorrow. it is not until tomorrow night, pretty late that we expect rain to move in with another cold front and this one will be stronger. so on sunday there will be on and off thunderstorms. it will get up to 85 degrees and it won't rain every minute. but saturday is your better weather day. i don't think nascar race in dover will be a wash out but you will to have keep your eye on the sky on sunday.
7:19 am
a dramatic difference in temperature on monday and tuesday of next week when we do not get out of the upper 60's. so, by the the middle of the next week it looks better but we're back to sweater weather on monday to start the month of june. that is your seven day live from sea isle city, i have got to get ready for my downward dog, bob kelly, yoga on the beach. 7:19. sea isle sue down there at 30th and the beach. stop over and say hi. keep in mind through the weekend trying to get to sea isle from have avalon that ocean drive bridge, townsend inlet bridge still closed. they said target date is june 19th. until then everybody going inland to youth route nine or parkway to take it kid to the boardwalk there in sea isle. north on the 42 freeway, gone for a ride, ab accident a approaching philadelphia, coming in toward route 55. that is causing delays for the gang this morning. then northbound lanes of i-95,
7:20 am
penndot shovel will start tonight into about 2:00 tomorrow. they will take northbound lanes, move them over to the side, keep that in mind heading home from the phillies game tonight or heading northbound i-95 leaving center city after 9:00 . mike and alex, back over to you. peak pricing at disney world. o h, man, more money depending what time and what day of the week you go, what season you go? we will explain the whole pricing thick when we come right back.
7:23 am
get on up, do you see that john deere tractor raking the beach trying to get it ready for people coming out. i guess they are sleeping in this morning. >> yeah. >> well, i will do a joke for lauren simonetti, so what did the the, what did the, hold on a second. what did the the plow say to the tractor, lauren? >> o, i have never heard that what did the plow say to the tractor. >> pull me closer, john
7:24 am
deere. >> i haven't heard that one either. >> see, i got an oh, dear out of her. >> i mean, wow. >> i have a story that i need to have you confirm. >> okay. >> a lot of people in the delaware valley here go down to disney world to florida for their vacation. what is this thing called peak pricing, is it like an airline jacks up the rates around thanksgiving. >> yes, it is exactly that. it is not official policy for disney yet but they are thinking of doing this. they september a survey to see if they like the idea of doing, different types of tickets for disney land in california, and disney world in orlando. so lets talk about the the orlando prices. the right now an adult one day pass 105 bucks. that is really expensive as we all know. they are saying once we get gold, ill versace and bronze passes. if you do gold pass it would be $125. so $20 more. but you can go whenever you
7:25 am
want we do not care. silver certain days, bronze even fewer days. now, the bronze is 105. same as current price right now. so you can prices would be going up regardless. i think most people would say, you know what, these vacations are so expensive, we will just spend the extra 20 bucks per ticket because the whole family has got to come. beal spend thousands as it is. but disney is saying if we can get more people in the other levels, lower levels, maybe parks won't be as crowded in spring break, july, christmas break. >> i want the led pass. >> can i get the metal pass. >> you know. >> i want a platinum pass. >> of course, you would because you are fancy, you have your own new show now. >> yes, thanks. >> couple months ago i was upside talking to the boss, roger ales and i said a get a
7:26 am
dick out of that lauren simonetti. i said she should have her own show. >> he is trying to get credit, lauren. >> let me tell you something i have a meeting with him today so i will confirm that. >> forget i a said that. >> good one, good come back. >> when is the new show, what is it. >> it is really early in the morning 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. so just coming in from a long night out or can't sleep and just waking up we will give you everything thaw need to know globally really fast, as we get ready to work. so sandra smith, you know her, she is really nice, nicole, from the floor of the new york stock exchange. you know me so we will work together. >> it would be great. i bet there will be a a lot of shots. >> charlie's angels. >> yes, lot of legs crossing and things. >> okay, hold on, you know sand that. >> yes. >> she's tall. nicole is taller. >> we don't necessity how tall
7:27 am
you are. >> she is standing up. >> it is robo camera so you wouldn't get the fully affect, but i'm 5 feet and 1 inch, baby. >> that is me. >> that is it we're the same. >> congratulations on the show we will see you next sunday. >> you are a pint sized too. >> which to go we have a regular size host. >> bye, lauren, we will be watching. >> lets eat some doughnuts, darn it. >> maryann's pastry shop, jen. >> hey we're here with my new in-laws, jim and barbara, i said i want to trade you guys in. >> good morning, you are a adorable. >> we are so excited because our spots or mazda is joining us this morning, and, they are helping us out, they are bringing us, look at that, it is little miss sea isle city, good morning, how are you. >> good. >> do you want to hang out with us all morning.
7:28 am
7:31 am
city. >> she has got the wave down definitely. >> that is right by maryann pastry from sea isle city if you want to meet her. jen is there as well. isn't that a cute place. >> maybe jen will share pastry was sue. >> there she is. >> hey, sue, what is up. >> i was doing more of your pose there because over my shoulder is the the yoga place for what a perfect place, to practice, yoga, right here on the beach. it is very zen anyway and then you add to it by really contemplating the meaning of life. so their yoga class is getting started. we are getting started as well with the nine out of ten. what a fantastic way to start the weekend with the number of the day. why is it a nine? we took away humidity. bus stop buddy is happen bye that. just wearing polo shirt again to school because it is still warm but in the as humid. we are close to 70 degrees here in philadelphia, and in
7:32 am
the lower 60's on the beach in sea isle city. temperatures are much cooler in the mountains since the cold front came through yesterday. little bit warmer to the south of us where cooler temperatures have in the settled in just yet the but we expect another warm day with a high of 87 degrees. we will be rain free throughout the day. tonight a confidentable 66 degrees, once again, skies mostly clear, if we could keep this for the entire weekend that would be great but there are some changes in the weather, as you get in the second half of the weekend and we will have details on that coming up live from sea isle city. so bob kelly, we are feeling very much at peace with ourselves, this morning. >> yes, yes, you pick the right straw getting sent down the shore this morning. 7:32. sea isle sue there, live look at conshohocken curve. we are almost ready to see sun popping up above the tree line
7:33 am
and that will hit us with delays inbound on the schuylkill expressway in toward philadelphia we have sun glare and delays here. thinks eastbound lanes of 422, coming around that saint gabriel's curve. lets roll video from sky fox as we arrive, the team over a fatal accident here in saint georges delaware. one person confirmed killed in that crash that happened 5:30 on huff neck road. police are still out there on the scene investigating so watch out for delays this morning as you roll through saint georges. back here in south jersey heading in toward philadelphia, north on the freeway, watch for an accident approaching 295. it is kind of between 55 and 295, busy weekend down in ppl park rug by week end. that will send extra volume up and down i-95 through chester, delaware county a and 15 minute delays on septa's west trenton regional rail lines, mike and alex, back to you. wait until you see throng of reporters at the novacare
7:34 am
center. >> more than 100 local media because everybody has been waiting to hear from chip kelly and hear him speak about the practice field. >> he doesn't speak very often this was first time we had a chance to ask chip kelly about recent comments made by shady mccoy. shady said that chip you got rid of certain black players and this is his response. >> i'm not governed by fear of what other people say. events don't elicit feelings i believe beliefs elicit feelings and i understand how my beliefs are and i necessity how i am. >> sometimes perception -- you start chasing perception you have a long life a head of you, son. if you are worried about someone's perception of is what going on with you, you control, one thing and you control yourself. >> well, gary is that a surmon. i felt like he was preaching to us. >> he had that prepared, of course, but you know, i thought lesean mccoy's comments were a cheap shot. like throwing a grenade when you leave a building, particular off, throw it back
7:35 am
and try to blow have been up, because that is what he was trying to do. >> interesting that the coach tried to call shady a couple times but won't return his calls. >> that is in the good either. if you have a complaint, really should have said he had a problem with something he should have said it while he was on the team. to say it when you levies really in the the way to do things. >> it is kind of perception that it is a locker room that shady had a point but coach said yesterday, he is not going to talk to his team about race. >> i don't think there is a problem. i think that if some of the guys come in and want to talk to him one on one and there is a problem, he will be opened to that. >> i think shady is known for being out spoken then others. he said there are people that want to say it but they feel like they can't. >> nobody has come forward to say it. really, the way football is, all you care burr self. you want to stay on the team. >> survive. >> everybody else, it is like antelopes running from the
7:36 am
lion, you know, i care about the other antelopes but i'm only concerned about one and that is me getting out of there and that is the way football ace. you are only concerned about what is going on with you. >> so let's talk about this first game down in atlanta, on monday night football in september. >> correct. >> who will start sam or sanchez. >> if i put my money on it, my money, i would put it on sanchez. i'm looking at bradford out there. he could come back, you see him working but i have seen injuries where guys have setbacks and things happen. he will in the rush it back. he is clearly the better quarterback from a throwing standpoint but sanchez knows the offense. he had a good year even they he made mistakes with the interceptions but he had a high completion percentage. he injured his arm. he had surgery before last year. he feels better. he looks good out there. >> this he were saying bradford might be practicing
7:37 am
next week. >> he might be, that is keyword might. i don't know that he will practice next week. he won't fully practice he might do seven on seven but not total practice. >> but we have tea bow. >> tebow does look good on those zone option plays, so i think he will make the team. is there a chance he will make the team. >> we have four quarterbacks now, will we get it down to three. >> yeah, they will in the go in the season were four. >> tell me might go. >> we will see. >> barkley looked good yesterday. he did a good job yesterday. tebow, you see, tebow brings another element in because he can run are. so teams have to work on him running that read option,. >> to second point version. >> very big, big, 250-pound but still got to work on that technique, he is trying to remember all of the plays and working on his throwing
7:38 am
technique. >> good to see you. >> have a great weekend. >> beautiful, i like the tie. >> this weekend maybe we can do mock fest do you know what is that. >> no. >> we will explain it right here because he will be all mocking this weekend. >> all under the mud. >> mock fest 2015 is here and raising money for a good cause. there is still some openings to get muddy. muck.
