>> nypd responded to a 911 call here on dicken street in far rockaway where 34-year-old kelly was found in responses after respiratory competitions with a lift procedure. in a basement having the procedure performed she drove all the way up here for seven hours for maryland. she has had five procedures done before. her mother said she was brought to the hospital where she and forcefully passed away this past saturday evening. these injections are becoming a phenomenon. according to the american society of plastic surgeons this is the fastest-growing cosmetic surgery in the year 2014. implants went up a 98% from 2013 to 2014. a lot of people are doing what they call black market but

injections because a standard procedure in the hospital can run you up to $4500. now some speculation that these butt implants could be attributed to people like jenny felter known as the famous but on instagrammed. she has 2 million followers and has garnered several endorsement deals from fitness companies bashing companies and nutrition companies because of her derrière. she started posting butt selfies on instagrammed. it's a pun that blew from her selfie. i should also mention that she worked at bt network. they released a statement. a spokesperson for det saying we are saddened by the death of our colleague and we send our deepest sympathies are their loss. we need to share more about the psychology behind this. what drives people to do these procedures without doing it the right way? dr. jeff gardier, we got his

input on why these women and men are making such a drastic move. >> dr. gardier you heard the story and it seems insane to me. you are the expert. what are people doing? >> a lot of it is peer pressure and what the media shows as being attractive. you have a lot of superstars, a lot of models, a lot of singers. i won't name any names. i want to -- don't want to offend anyone but these young women talk about and show their gluteus maximus if you will and so a lot of young girls want to say okay well if that is beauty and want to have that. >> pop culture has blurred the lines and confuses. some would say that you have people that suffer from what some call mental illness. others call it other things and what i want to point to is the

celebration. regardless of surgery to make one more attractive or feel a better sense of self-worth seems to me those lines are completely blurred and it's a celebratory atmosphere. >> you make a very good point. that's why i think it's very important that anyone getting any kind of cosmetic surgery whether they are trying to enhance some part of their lives with surgery, to import that a psychologist or a mental health expert be involved to make sure that this is not a mental illness or some sort of an addiction to surgery as we saw with michael jackson who was addicted to those sorts of surgeries. >> dr. gardier i agree 100%. we can blame pop culture all we want to but if you are taking yourself into a basement to get injected into your rare and you have no one to blame but yourself. i don't understand how people can look further down the road that now.
