they have been talking to police, so again, the cab driver is currently at southwest detectives. again, it is a preliminary report. it is a possible siting. but it is drawing a lot of attention here this morning. mike, alex? >> let's dig down little bit deep near this thing here. so what are you saying? where did he take him? if it is true? >> reporter: so, what we're hearing from police is that the cab driver claims that he dropped two people off here who he believes may have been the two escapees. we do not, however, know where he picked them up. >> oh, we don't? >> don't know where they were coming from but saying he dropped them off here at 30th street station. >> so you don't know where he picked them up? but something has to do with the airport? what is the airport connection? >> reporter: because then police believe this cab driver took another call and went down to the airport. >> oh,. >> reporter: i don't know if he pick up different passengers here, drove them to the airport, but we know police went down to the

indexes will easily be climbing to the upper 90's, these pop up storms develop. and they're forming along the line here moving south. they do have potential to be fairly strong won't last long, clearing out, moving through, so between 4:00 and 7:00 heavy rain gusty wind, storms roll through. 11:00 things all clear, that's what we're specking today. heat, humidity, feeling like 95 at least when you factor in the humid it, these storms could be strong but this is heatwave likely day one of three, 90 degrees or higher, so start that off today, 93 degrees, 93 degrees again tomorrow. it will be close, but looks like we could easily touch 09 degrees with a storm. and some relief sunday, but keep the rain in the forecast, not as hot monday and tuesday temperatures mid 80s, humidity down. so will feel much more comfortable and humidity comes back, wednesday, up to 87 degrees. how's it look out, there bob?

into the 70s, and it is a hot day today. heating up here, humidity coming in, so put it at a seven today. hot, humid, with the weather heating up. the humidity is here. air quality not the best this afternoon. bus stop budd, short sleeves, 72 to 77. showers, storms, later today. but until then, it is just warming up. satellite and radar all clear. but by this afternoon, could have few strong storms around. going from 79 to near 90, by noon, and then we will be into the 90's today, but these showers, storms, develop by about 5:00 this afternoon, moving in from the north, and pushing its way to the south. bob? >> you got it, dave. morning, everybody, 7:29. live look, 422, excuse me, 295, northbound, accident heading into the 42 freeway here. right at the construction zone, left lane blocked, that's tying folks up. headed into that bellmawr interchange, here is a live look at 42, coming in toward that same area there. so all backed up like a
7:30 am
bottleneck, headed in toward that walt whitman bridge. live look at the roosevelt boulevard, slow going from pretty much ridge, all the way down through the schuylkill expressway. westbound schuylkill delayed about after half hour, center city delayed at belmont. southbound lanes of 95, heavy from woodhaven, into center city. and then, watch for some police activity, at 30th street station. which is going to tie us up specially for anyone exiting the schuylkill, at 30th street. i know we got jenny live down there with some of this breaking news, of what's going on. mike, alex, back to you. >> to jenny with the update. jenny? >> mike, alex, short time ago we did get update from philadelphia police public affairs, they told us that the originating trip with the cab driver and two possible new york escapees, was at broad and vine. that will was at 4:15. and then the cab driver is telling police that he brought the two passengers here to 30th street station, again, it is extremely preliminary,
7:31 am
police are interviewing the cab driver to try to find out more information about this preliminary siting of richard matt and david sweat. so again, all of this started 4:15 claims he brought the two men here to 30th street station, he then took passengers, to the airport, so he did take on a second trip. >> after caring the two men that he believes are the prison escapees. >> what kind of police presence do you see out there right now? i see police officers, think i saw somebody with a automatic weapon, what kind of police presence out there? >> line up of police cars, of 30th street station, here, you can also see amtrak police, philadelphia police, i would probably say half dozen
7:32 am
vehicles out here right now. >> they've been out there for couple of hours now, right? >> yes, since 6:30, what we're hearing from police it, took little while for this cab driver to make that initial report. that he, you know, pick up these two guys, brought help here to 30th street, then took another trip down to the airport, and then called police. and started going back and for the i have think i may have had these two men in my vehicle. so delayed report. so by the time the police actually met up with the cab driver, it took little while, so he's back at southwest detective currently being interviewed. >> which makes no sense. if i have these two dudes in my cab, i am not taking a fair to the airport. no matter how much money i need. i would pull over, pull in, find amtrak cop and say they are the two guys who escaped prison. >> unless maybe he didn't realize? >> what he didn't realize --
7:33 am
>> thought they look familiar, came to him, when he finish up the airport fair? well, stay on it, jenny, see what happens. >> pennsylvania is one of the states, part of the search where they think they could be. soy broad and vine, guy says picks him up 4:30 this morning. drops them at 30th street. then goes to the airport with another fair? >> right. makes no sense to me at all. >> why would he come to a mecca like this with a lot of people and a lot of people can identify him? >> i got to tell you everybody in this country should be on alert. >> no doubt. >> knees guys are killers. they could be anywhere. so don't negate, well, i'm not in vermont or new york.
7:34 am
>> you have to understands, over 500 tips. rye now the police in new york they had a tip that the source told them that he's potentially within 5-mile radius of the prison. so they are coming this with all of the police up in new york, searching every barn, searching all of the rural area up there. lots every places in this country where i guess there has been tips. >> wins a tip, the law enforcement is required to follow upton. >> you can't have them on the screen enough. there they are. look at the creepy guy on the right, guy -- >> both creepy this is a guy that snapped his boss' neck, tortured him. >> his boss 76 years old, snapped his neck, killed him, watch he tortured him, and this is the guy who supposedly had the relationship with joyce mitchell, taylor in the prison, supposedly may have helped him, may have given help a cell phone. >> joyce is i have -- joyce is civilian who lived in the town, worked with the two. >> she saw them every day basically, new them well, supposedly they had a

relationship. now the suspicion is that she has helped them, gave them at least the guy on the right there, cell phone, which may have allowed him to call people on the outside. supposedly source said she supposedly was going to be the one that would pick -- was supposed to pick him up after they got out of the manhole. but she had panic attack and went to the hospital. because at least the source says that she had second thoughts. >> so pop out of the manhole allegedly, the car wasn't there? >> which means on foot, that's the reason why i said look we should be on alert for sure, but unlikely that they made it from up-state new york to philadelphia on foot. if they didn't have any -- >> right. >> but she was supposed to be the wheel for them. >> i guess they could find another car. but you think someone would come forward hey someone took my car. >> stole my car. >> yes, that's a long way. this woman, though, if she did anything to help them, she better hope that these guys don't kill anybody, because if they kill somebody, she will also be charged with murder,
7:36 am
it is called felony murder. if in the commission after felony, you help somebody and that result in a murder, you can also be convicted of murder under what's called the felony murder rule. so, if she did help them by giving them a cell phone or if she helped them because she planned to help them he is came, she is in whole world of trouble. >> ly if they had an agreement, she could be charged with conspiracy, then everything they do can be charged for. >> could be charged with whole lot of things. we still don't really know whether she has lawyer but report, she did have relationship, look, rear viewing everybody in the prison, somebody in the prison, oh, yeah, joyce mitchell new these guys, talk to them every day, therefore the suspicion that she may have been in the process every henning them. >> she is married. >> married, child, her son actually has been on tv talking about it, basically refuting anything that has been said about her, saying it is all false. >> yes, and even saying she felt pressured and they kind of forced her to do it, which
