7:02 am
>> yes. >> i route for him. >> hi, sue. >> hi. >> what up. >> it is 7/7. >> we have a seven. >> of course, we do. >> what else would we choose. >> look, it is 77 degrees. and five minutes away from 7:07. >> wind speed at 7 miles an hour. at 7:07 we will stop and hug and make a wish. >> good idea. >> yeah, i got a wish. >> wind speed at 7 miles an hour. it is just crazy, with buddy and his pal muggy the dog we are off to a humid start this morning. don't forget to drink your water. sky hydrated. buddy has his water bottle. he is at summer camp. he wanted to go back. we don't see too much left on ultimate doppler in the way of precipitation we have had left overs from last night. few areas of reduced visability, lancaster county, little bit in mount pocono, that is it. not too much fog.
7:03 am
temperatures in the 70's, on this 7/7. the planner is for a high of 90 later on today with enough sunshine to get to us 90. it won't take that long because we are already warm. so plan on being sticky, uncomfortable today and keep a eye on stray thunder storm. we have the seven day forecast and more 90's in it coming up. 7:00 another owe three. live look at i-95 southbound an accident off to the left shoulder, southbound, right here near academy road. little bit of the backup here. heading out of northeast philadelphia look out for delays on the bennie coming into downtown philadelphia at eighth and vine. patco high speed line single tracking during both morning and afternoon rush hours. here's a live look at the backup for shaders, route 73, heading in towards that bridge, there is kerbeck off to the right there. a nice shot of the

7:05 am
jenny. >> reporter: good morning, mike and alex. temple university is issuing a in comment this morning after cosby's confession comes to light. cosby did have an affiliation with the university from 1982 up until last year as a trustee. newly released documents show in a 2005 deposition cosby testify that he obtained quaaludes with the attempt to give them to young woman he wanted to have sex w he admitted to giving a sedative to at least one woman but when asked if he gave the drugs to women without his coming the attorney reject the objection. we talked to attorney fred tecce who is not involved with the case and he said that question and answer are key in deciding liability or increased liability in the existing cases. in many of the cases, the statute of the limitations had has run out. could more victims come forward at this point. >> this may spark other people to come out. this may light a fuse under
7:06 am
the currently pending cases and bubble this backup to the forefront of, you know, the public's attention but it ultimately may die back down again. it will go up and down like that quite frankly forever. >> reporter: the 2005 deposition is now unsealed and relates to andrea connextant the former temple university employee sued him and then settled out of court. in it cosby also admitted to giving her three and a half pills of benadryl. we have contacted the attorneys representing bill cosby as well as those representing the plaintiff but we have not heard back from any of them. >> this really is a national story, all of the national news stories, all of the main channels covering that top story last night. >> people are wondering if this goes back to 2005 why were they unsealed. we will have a legal expert into talk about that. >> hoist coming in. >> ken rottweiler. >> yes, he will be here in a few minutes. >> we are five seconds away
7:07 am

7:08 am
yesterday. sabina, you you are live in margate. >> be careful sabina. >> reporter: yes, it happened out here too in margate, yesterday afternoon, just about 1:00 o'clock. someone said they saw a fin out there in the water. beach patrol went and check it out and they could not confirm whether or not there was a shark in the water but they ordered everybody out just to be on the safe side. they were let back in a short time later. over in avalon the same day yesterday, it happened again, in avalon, somebody said that they saw, something out there, in the water, three times, people were ordered out of the water, so beach patrol could go take a look. again, there that sighting also unconfirmed but again, obviously it is raising some alarm, like you mentioned mike, shark week is going on. it is on peoples mind. we have stuff going on in north carolina we have talk to the beach patrol and here's what they told you us about yesterday. >> we have not seen anything
7:09 am
such as dorsal fin or anything, but we have precaution when bait fish are closer. they come together in close groups. when that a happens they are thrashing around and that can make it look like there is turmoil in the water. >> i'm scared of the coast. the sharks eat people. >> i'm pretty concerned up and down the east coast. as far as me getting in the ocean, well, maybe to my ankle. >> and my two little girls are with me and we're here all the time. i haven't seen anything. i have not seen a shark. >> now with shark week going on and everybody is at a height's wearness. >> reporter: that was beach patrol there talking about shark week. i'm sure they are probably gearing up for that. you know, people get sick of that. it was informality of july weekend down there and a lot of people took monday off. so the beach was pack. so anything out there in the
7:10 am
water that might have raised a little bit of an alarm and people want to be extra careful. we know there are eight confirmed shark attacks in north carolina alone, last one happening on july 4th. so hey, better safe than sorry, you should always ab leather. >> that is right, next time we come to you, sabina, how about being closer to the water, you wus. >> there might be sharks out there, no way. >> it is a safe difficulties tans. >> at least have your feet in the water. >> you want her to be bait, my goodness. >> reporter: didn't you hear that one lady, ankle deep, well, just get down to the boat. 7:10. today marks the fifth anniversary of that duck boat crash, down near penns landing, and the delaware river. lawyers for 29 young victims, killed in that 2010 accident
7:11 am
will hold a press conference today. here's what is new, they are claiming is there a pennsylvania major development in their investigation of the recent duck boat incident. do you remember this? back on may the eighth in center city another tourist was killed by a duck boat while crossing the street, yeah, in center city over by the convention center. people from texas were in for a convention, a sky type of convention, crossing street got hit by a duck both. jury selection will begin in the trial for the man accused of killing a mother a and her three sons in the street racing incident. prosecutors say 24 year-old hussein, hit 28 year-old samara banks and her three sons, ages four, 23 months, and seven months, as they crossed roosevelt boulevard. this was back in 2013. a second man charged in the crash, three two-year old ahmed heilman pleaded guilty
7:12 am
to four counts of vehicular homicide. he was sentenced to five to ten years in state prison. >> horrible, i remember that, two years ago. an illegal immigrant from mexico is charge in the shooting death of the san francisco woman and crime is creating an intense debate about sanctuary laws. >> donald trump weighed in on it as well, yesterday, double downing on his comments about mexican immigrants. forty-five year-old, francisco sanchez, there he is, was a repeat drug offender and had been deported from our country five times. he ended up killing that woman right there. he was free at the time of the killing because city officials disregarded a a request from immigration authorities to keep him locked up. san francisco's sanctuary law, prevents city workers from cooperating with federal authorities on immigration cases. >> the sanctuary ordinances like san francisco has is creating cities, sanctuary cities that are beacons in the night for illegal immigrants.
7:13 am
>> cities should not try to write their own immigration laws that are contrary to federal law. >> so this guy sanchezes is due in court this afternoon for his arraignment on these murder charges. the sheriff's office up in washington state says that one person is dead and four others have been injured, by a partial, ice cave collapse. >> yeah. >> they told a local paper that the person who was killed remains buried under the debris. three of the injured including one man is in critical condition. they have been sent to a seattle trauma center. the popular destination business 07 miles north east of the seattle n2010 an 11 year-old girl was killed at the cave by falling ice. >> falling ice, even though it is in the middle of an early july. >> i guess it is in the cave. >> it is way up there. >> exactly. >> i don't know which is up or down. >> the tights are the ones up
7:14 am
because they hang tight to the ceiling, i remember that. >> might are the ones that grow out of the ground. it has nothing to do with ice but it work its way in to this conversation. >> that is right. >> so we're talking about this warm front that came flaw yesterday and we are finished from the showers from that front. high pressure kind of in control today, but things are still unsettled with the close proximity of this front. it is just close enough it will keep us unsettled today, until we can get this cold front that will come through, tomorrow, and thursday. it will take a a couple days to get through here because everybody moves a little bit slower when it is hot and humid outside. in most of our left however showers are gone this morning and temperatures are on the this 7/7 are in the 70's and once again we're at 77 degrees. now we're not going to stay there today. things will get warmer, rapidly, especially with some sunshine that is starting to emerge from behind the clouds so when will we hit 90?
7:15 am
probably three or four this afternoon and we will be in the upper 80's for most of the day but as far as the heat index is concern it till 93 inn 59 degrees. take it easy and try to stay in the shade as much as possible. a typical july day yesterday. the average high is 87. we got to a high of 88. lots of humidity and those pop up thunderstorms which are in the forecast for today as well, humid, and thunderstorms, tomorrow and some thunderstorms on thursday with a high of 87. mid 80's on friday. take away humidity for a day, day and a half between friday and saturday, and back to the 90's, on sunday. so bob kelly, you know, everybody moves a little slowly, even our mouths, on days like today.
7:16 am
>> good morning, everybody. southbound lanes of i-95 out of northeast philadelphia, we are slowing down from woodhaven through academy. this fellow off in the left shoulder and then we have a construction delay between cottman avenue and girard. good morning to the boulevard, we've got some sun glare and delays from pretty much, ninth street all the way down, across the river, and heading over toward the schuylkill expressway, and for the gang coming from south jersey here's a live look at the freeway, 42 where the expressway end and 42 picks up and head in toward philadelphia, again those showers are gone, out of here and they are gone with sun glare. as we head eastbound not bad between conshohocken and city avenue. bigger delay is westbound leaving town. we call that the reverse commute between city line avenue and belmont heading up the hill in toward conshohocken. an accident on the lincoln drive between gypsy and ridge, north bound on the boulevard a crash at devereaux. because of last night's four alarm fire in upper darby.
7:17 am
the 69th street is closed between walnut and market. is there local detours. it will make thing tough getting in the terminal there. september as has three bus routes moving in the terminal. lets talk about gasoline prices right now. >> bauer they are holding steady under three bucks a gallon. >> i'm surprise blood think. >> according to the gas buddy.com average price is 2.77 cents a gallon. prices are up 1 cents from this time last month, and down 80 cents from this time last year. >> 80 cents. >> alaska has highest gas prices in the nation with an average of 3.45 cents, a gallon. >> okay. >> and south carolina a has cheapest price these week costing 2.4 2 cents a gallon, maybe i will drive mize car to south caroline, fill it up and come back. >> you won't make it that wouldn't make sense. >> no. >> 7:17. >> phillies faced a familiar face last night when they went to los angeles to take on the dodgers. >> this was the first time we have seen the phillies play against jimmy rollins. before the game jimmy says it
7:18 am
was not hard to leave the phillies, when he did. >> when i was done, i did everything i could do, we won a championship. we won pen ants. i didn't leave anything behind. obviously we would have like to have won more championships we had an opportunity to but i didn't leave any stone unturned. >> that is for sure. >> so, hours after that, statement, jimmy pick up the winning hit in the dodgers ten-seven win over our phillies. the game lasted over four hours. if you stayed up and watched this here in philadelphia, it was 2:00 in the morning by the time you went to bed. despite picking up two hits last night, jimmy is only hitting .212 on the season. they have him hitting eighth and ninth even in the batting line up. >> yes. >> well, lot of people were tweeting about jahlil okafor. >> right. >> yes. >> that is because the sixers summer league team, they were
7:19 am
playing, in salt lake city. >> yes, last night, right. >> it was yesterday. >> well, our coach brett brown and sam hinkie were in the crowd last night, to watch jahlil okafor. >> they look happy. >> making his debut. jahlil did not disappoint, he scored 20 points in his first pro game. by the way they were playing the spurs. spurs went on to win the the game but still 20 points from your debut is pretty darn good. >> people wanted to see let's see what he can do. >> okay doke. >> he is keys event in his debut he was decent he is not a fast guy, he plays back of the basket. >> slow and steady wins the race, mike. >> that is exactly right. >> if you would like a cup of star bucks get ready to dig deeper in your pockets. the prices, they have gone up, this morning.
7:20 am
>> and cashing in, carli lloyd's world cup performance is about to pay off, how much her mvp appearance is really worth. >> she's on the front page of the philadelphia inquirer this morning. >> show me the money. >> in fact they say after a historic night carli's fame is rising. here is the lottery are. she has won the lottery by getting three goals in one game. for life...
7:21 am
7:22 am

7:23 am
we have a reading camera. that is reading, pennsylvania, i recognize it. >> thinks big news. >> yes. >> oh , really, you paid for this camera. >> payroll deductions. >> thank you for your contributions. >> that is cool. >> i noticed it when i went to star bucks even though i love
7:24 am
dunkin' donuts coffee, better, right. >> yes. >> that it cost me more this morning, lauren simoneti. >> they are talking about even more. >> this is an outrage. >> yeah. >> what did you get this morning. >> a vanilla latte. >> i love chocolate lattes. >> you know what, a lot of their drinks cost more today. so if you get, this is interesting, if you get call or venti, so not grande, small or large it will cost you more, certain lieutenant takes are-- lattes are going up. >> get the grande that will cost you a same. that doesn't get a price increase. the the increase is between a nick toll 20 cents, depending on what store and what you get, et cetera. >> well, what gets me here is star bucks is increasing prices while other companies are cutting coffee prices like folgers. if you look at a price of the coffee bean it cost so much less now then it did last year. it makes sense you cut prices.
7:25 am
so why is star bucks raising them? a lot of the stores, they have a lot of rent and work shore get great benefits like free college tuition at asu. you are paying for it. >> yes. >> maybe it is worth it. >> okay. >> so you are fine with the increase. >> a lot of people say, you know what is a nickel in the end. >> why not just do it all, why just tall and venti. >> this way every year they can pick different products to do small increases with as well because they do this every year. is there also something coming out today, a cold brew coffee, it takes 20 hours to brew. so long that each store can only handle will 50 cups. it is $3 and change, basically ice coffee. so early bird gets the warm. maybe you can try that today. >> do you ever drink that coffee that is made with the poop of the skunk. >> every morning, yeah.
7:26 am
>> that is why my skin looks so good. >> is that why your skin looks so good. >> it is like $350 a cup or a bag. >> yes. >> it is, a specific catto owe. >> you in must be drinking it. >> why would you want those ingredient in your system. >> no, another justly. >> poddy mouth. >> a skunk eats coffee beans and then poop and then they make coffee from the poop. sue, could you look that up on google. thank you. >> thanks, lauren simonetti. >> never a dull moment. >> it is a real thing. >> quincy is here on good day philadelphia, quincy. >> because they are getting ready for a big race. >> huge. >> they have asked me who will win between me and chris murphy. me or chris murphy will run
7:27 am
today. we have name here. he will get us ready for the run. we are at benjamin johnson memorial stadium. >> he is trying to hurt me. >> just stretch. >> i tore a hamy. >> respect me.
7:28 am
7:29 am
7:30 am
we are getting responses on poop, like a cat, basically a skunk, right. >> yes. >> all right. >> racoon. >> yes. >> there is one right there. >> anyway, let's read bit, alex. >> it says, it refers to the seeds of coffee berries once they have been eaten and defecated by, this skunk. they think they say these animals pick the best coffee berries and in the process of the digestive system, intern. , so it makes coffee beans. >> yes. >> you ate a cricket, once, yesterday. >> i ate a cricket yesterday. >> and try it today. >> that coffee is $227 a a pound he can afford it. >> is that right. >> but it taste like... anyway. >> 7:30. >> we have to get to quincy. are we doing it. >> we have it right here.
7:31 am
>> what are we doing. >> weather and traffic. >> yes. >> they are getting ready for a big race. >> chris murphy says he can out run a hundred yard dash quincy harris. there is no way. >> quincy started it. >> quincy is training for a marathon. >> but a marathon is a marathon and in the a sprint. >> yes. >> chris might win this sprint. >> we will get to that in a second. >> lets get to bus stop buddy back at summer cam this week with his water, muggy the doggies here, humid outside, thank you, muggy. temperatures are in the 70's right now. we have a seven in our weather by the numbers on this 7/7, and it is 77 degrees. wind have increased, 8 miles an hour and you see there quite a few cloud out there but in some places the sunnies managing to come through those cloud. we have gotten through left overs showers from last night and they will linger through in most of the morning and now
7:32 am
we expect a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day. the chance of a stray thunderstorm later on in the day and a high temperature back to 90 degrees. been a while since we have been at 90, week, week and a half. it is july after all, bob kelly, that is your forecast for the day. >> good morning, everybody. here's a live look at i-95 southbound, stack up, working your way in toward academy road. the left lane is taken out there with a vehicle that is down, that grass embankment. we will look live, where are we going to go? is what the next one we will go to? i will tell you what i will do, hit that button, and there we go, all right. i-95, live look at i-95 at delaware county, delays, and we have delays into jfk. they have made some runway changes according to their web site. so they are one hour delays on flights heading in to jfk this morning. keep that in mind heading out at philly international.
7:33 am
crash north on i-95 in wilmington right at exit number seven as you work your way up toward route 202, and then 42 freeway north bound coming toward philadelphia an accident approaching route 55. otherwise, three of septa's bus routes are on a detour around that fire from last night at upper darby terminal. mike and alex, back to you. >> hold on a second. >> i'll handle this. >> 7:33. bill cosby loses his fight to keep documents detailing his testimony during a deposition,. >> this is shocking. these documents relate to andrea connstand the former temple university employee, who sued him, over ten years ago, and settled out of court. in this deposition bill cosby testified that he gave her, three, half pills, he says of benadryl. they settled in 2006. the terms were undisclosed until a judge ruled that you
7:34 am
could unsell this testimony. so ken rottweiler, benadryl. >> benadryl. >> what do quaaludes come in. >> he a said during this deposition he did give quaalude toss women in order to have sex with them. that substantiates these other women, 24 to 48 women who have come forward and said he drugged them, to have sex. so, this is at least testimony out of his own mouth that substantiate what all of these other women said this happened ten years ago. why were they finally unsealed. >> because judge here in philadelphia, said that these documents can be unsealed and now people have read them. it is a deposition of bill cosby where he says, he gave these quaaludes to women in order for specific purpose of having sex with them it is also because he is considered public person. people have the right to know. >> yes, you must have read that opinion. >> that is exactly right. >> what is a public moral he goes out and talks about how people should act.
7:35 am
>> elects tours about morality so judge says if you are lecturing about morality we will unseal these documents rain see whether there is anything that, you know, affects new terms of morality. >> so in other word, benadryl is nothing compared to the quaaludes. >> that is true. >> benadryl is for itching i skins. >> it is anti histamine but it can make you sleepy. that is why they say don't take benadryl and drive. but quaaludes, people that don't know anything about quaaludes, they were the sex drug of the 07's. >> no question. >> so, for him to admit he was giving quaaludes to women for sex, that is different then him admitting he raped them. people are getting excited, cosby made this big admission to me it is not a big admission. he basically said i gave with men quaaludes to have sex and that is something that went on in the 70's all the time. in place does he admit that he raped anybody. >> or that they consent to taking the quaaludes or
7:36 am
knowingly take them. >> that is right. >> people are making a leap that since he said he gave woman quaaludes he is admit to go raping them. that is not true at all. i think a lot of people are jumping the gun here. i beach a his lawyers will say, he gave women quaaludes and there was -- maybe it was legal back then but everybody was doing it. i went to school during 70's and quaaludes were very prevalent. >> yes. >> you said people are jumping to the conclusion, even still the fact that everybody is talking saying okay, finally, this is what we needed to hear. do you think this will force him to say anything else. >> no, no, no his attorneys will tell him don't say a word. he will not give any public admission about this at all. >> what will come out of this. >> i don't think anything will come out of this he will be guilty in the court of public opinion. statute of limitations, criminal case is gone, statute of limitations for civil cases are gone. he will be a guy people will not look up to at all. >> defamation lawsuit, they will be using this in those
7:37 am
lawsuits. >> there could be defamation lawsuits going forward because of things he said about them, he called them liars. now it looks lick they are in the liars. >> what a fall from grace. >> big time. >> good to see you, my man. >> good to see you mike, alex. >> i love carli lloyd. now is there carli craziness. i'm telling you just how much money, carli may make after becoming the mvp at the world cup. blank would i a life change on sunday.
7:38 am
7:39 am

7:42 am
>> say that again. >> fifteen to 18 million-dollar over the next two years. >> is that because. >> everybody wants their face on their products right now. >> yes. >> but because she had such a big day. >> huge day. >> yes. >> hat trick. >> everything is historic about her game on sunday. >> 54-yard goal that she scored, longest in cup history. >> she could be a punter for one of these nfl teams. >> her life completely change on sunday afternoon. >> yes. >> we are so proud. >> so proud. >> so now up in new york they are trying to figure out if machine hat on will have a big welcome home parade for the girls. >> the entire team, this is our third world cup for u.s. national team, it is huge. >> i saw earlier, and it was last night, they were all on a private jet flying into los angeles. >> do we have footage of that, tracie?

7:44 am
>> lets check back on quincy because they're warming up. they are about to race. i blame philly current magazine. they started all of this. >> quincy is training for a marathon. chris is probably eating his doughnuts. >> we're getting ready for our race. where is chris, where is chris, that is what chris is doing right now. he is playing games. >> yes. >> we are working it out. >> yes. >> yes.
