8:09 am
i peanut buttment you can use chunk i, if you like. it's your choice. mix it up one minute. while that's mixing i'm going to make the whip cash. one quarter cup granulated sugar and one cup heavy cream. if your twitchen is warm, put the cream on ice. you don't want it to get warm. the salt, soft. i don't want to over whip this. it quickly comes together. it's still barely pourable. you don't want it too thick because you're going to have to be working it. i'm going to add a little bit of a cream to start with.
8:10 am
maybe a quarter of it to get the two ingredients to know each other. another reason not to over whip your cream because all of agitation can turn the cream into butter as well. now that is light, i add the remaining cream. i simply fold it inment i'm going to fold it until i don't see any more streaks. nice peanut butter mousse. nice analyte. now i'm going to take the cookies and sandwich them. when the sapped witches are top, i'm going to dip them in chocolate. i melt the chocolate. i look to use the microwave so you don't have to heat up your kippen with the double boiler. this is sweet chocolate.
8:11 am
microwave it, give it a stir, if it's not done, give it another half minute. dip it again, as far as you want, shake it as you're pulling it out. the weight of the chocolate in the bowl will fill up excess. dip them. move it to the fridge rater for a few minutes. this it is not tempered, one way to use it, put it into a little desert cup about halfway. you can put on chopped oreo cookies if you liking and some whip cream. left over mousse, you can make some pies. this mousse freezes well, so you can paying it way ahead of time. now that the chocolate has set it's time to try one. it's very, very good. i'm chef robert bennett at classic cake and this has been your fox food bite.
8:12 am
8:13 am
8:14 am
well column back am it is coming up on 8:15 right now. this is the biggest endorsement for a presidential canted date hillary clinton. the american federation of teachers throwing its weight behind the former secretary of state and first lady. the endorsement was expected from the 1.6 million member union which represents teachers, nurses, college and youth employees. and the push to have bill
8:15 am
cosby's medal of freedom revoked. it is now growing. people want it taken away from him. thousands of people have already signed a petition. we are at the people website to have the medal taken away. if this gets to 100,000 signatures the white house is actually going to review it and respond. court documents released on monday revealed that cosby admitted back in 2005 to getting way ludes to give to women he wanted to have sex with. do you think former philadelphia police officers cleared of corruption charges will soon be back on the force. the member stood trial in may. federal prosecutors accused them of stealing money from drug dealers, lying on police report and kayying out illegal razor. the jury acquitted them and late yesterday it was announced the cops one back their position. mayor nutter said it's still not clear what the officers will be doingment they have different
8:16 am
assignments. that was part of the arbitrator's decision as well. they will not be going back to narcotics. that's left to the commissioner commissioner. they will receive $90,000 in back pay and their original badges will be returned. did you see this? here in philly we have the best fans. they did a study about this from experts. here's what they said in the whole nfl where do we rank when it comes to fans, pretty high, but not the highest. it's the sticking difficult as cowboys. and the new york giants. where do we come in? what are we? >> number 11. so who did this study, bill anderson? >> emory university actually did the study. they have clearly no idea what
8:17 am
they're talking about. from 15 years of databased on factors like team performance, box office revenue, ticket prices. you know what this is? tell me. >> they did this study, but this is continued national biased for what goes on in philadelphia. they don't like our fans. but on one hand we're the most aggressive and then they want to say we're mottle some id fans. it doesn't make any sense. of i've been to the tailgates, i haven't been to the other cities, but i think we have the best. > from the guts,. >> from the food service, everything, the number of of people tailgating. > i feel we do it with passion. we call it like it is. if people are bad, we call them out on it. >> the stinging cowboy fans are fraud. philadelphia, we stick with our team, good times, bad times, we're solid. well, that's the philly science.
8:18 am
here's some more philly science. hi, little kid can research from the silly scientist. whether it's cocky or fragile it may be in the eyes of bow holder. you're acting like a baby. >> i'm not a baby i'm a man. it comes from stereo types. men who feel their masculinity is threatened may over compensate. but a group of researchers did it anyway. their work is published in social psychology, our dr. mike explains how it works. they took young men and they had them do a hand grid test and half of them were told they were average and half were falsely told that they were below average. they then asked them things like
8:19 am
their height and whether they were athletic and in those men that were toll they were below average in hand grip strength they actually accentuated and lied about their height, how many romantic partners they had and how athletic they were. >> i don't know if you heard me counting, i did over a thousand. i think as a manny learned two things, one that our male egos are very susceptible april we need to realize that if we feel threated we may actually make decisions and over compensate, if you will, by being more aggressive and acting like we are suffer than we actually are. >> good talk from dr. mike. >> i'm a man who discovered the wheel and built the evil to your out of mayn't ills. even if you may have never needed this study to tell you,
8:20 am
men from time to time can feel a little pressure to man up. i'm go to do some pushups during the break. >> i got a lot of my attention yesterday, twitter fees, everyone is tweeting certify remember a on the big victory. she is coming up a little bit later on, what someone said about her that even got harry potter and jk rolling involved. plus, what is going on my fox 29 weekend family? dave, is today going to be just as beautiful as it was yesterday? >> tell me something good.
8:21 am
love you all. dave has great news for you. he wants to be in the air-conditioning. but he has a feeling the party will follow you anywhere. >> 91 grows this ash. not huh my, the humidity is down and that temperature quickly drops tonight down to 79 by 9:00 the seven day forecast will be coming up a little bit later. > look at that, 1484, let's do a challenge. we'll try to keep it real. let's get you up to 2500 fuelers. by the end of the show if we get 501,800 followers. you can follow him right now at dave warren. there we go. we'll tweet it out, everybody
8:22 am
retweet it. get the message going out there. maybe we can even get dave warren fox 29 trending for everyone to l to. what's the pay off for the viewers? what are we going to do at the end of the show? >> they can do the weather and the full off anchor man. you can figure out what the payoffs to be. here are the winning lottery numbers. we hope that you have them. take a look.
8:23 am
8:24 am

8:26 am
this tweet came in initially. they tagged jk rolling who wrote the harry potter series. the main reason for her success is that she's built like a man, talking about serena williams. jk rolling immediately gets involved, she's built like a man, my husband looks just like this in a dress, you're an idiot. good for jk rolling jump ping out and saying that. it just went out. sony said if serena is built like a man with that amazing body i wish i was built like a man, too. in a tasha, why would it be bad if she was built like a man anyway, women can have masculine builts, not just petite and curvey. >> someone said serena williams is built like a man and that's the reason for her success, jealous. it turn out to a whole body shame issue, a the look of discussion.
8:27 am

8:33 am
rain and humidity with temperatures right about 930-degrees. perfect for the weekend. the big question we want to know, we have this pole. we wanted to do a little instant poll, where would you rather spend your summer weekend? would you rather spend it up at the beach? going down the shore? up the mountains or at the pool? you can vote. here's the hashtags you should use when you do this one. you use hashtag fox 29 beach, fox 29 pool and mtn for the mountains or you can go to website. we don't have fox 29 cocktail as an option. it was a perfect weekend, a perfect summer weekend. we figured for you that would include the cocktails. what's your favorite choice, if. >> absolutely the pool. i don't do the whole things in the water thing at the beach. i'm not much of a hiking person
8:34 am
so i'm chilling by the pool. dave warren? >> growing up it was the beach, but now that i have kids and the beach gets very messy when you have three kids that are under three, so it's the pool. and then when i'm sick of the kids i'll go to the mountains myself. speaking of cocktails, byob when you bring your cocktail to the restaurant. it is a new trend in philadelphia that is catching on, it is a good one, byod, bring your own dog. we're talk about beach, the summer of sharks. we keep to see more and more of them. but you'll meat one man who says there's no need to fear. we want you to send some of your pictures. it was parents weekend yesterday. pamela one of our wonderful viewers, happy parents day to her mom, her father has passed on. but a beautiful family. let's continue the conversation.

8:36 am
john macken row was always entertaining, i liked when he showed that emotion with breaking a react. that's part of what he did. that's part of what sports is. obviously you don't see enough of me because i do the domestic violence athletes i have no part for them. they shouldn't even be in the nfl, but what is entertainment about maria sheer provide a grunting? you like that. that is not entertaining. it's unnecessary. she's a terrific tennis player, but i don't need all the noise, all right? it's a the look of noise. that's what you got to understand. do you think you have what it takes to knock the king? should your video and upload it to us right here on fox 29.
8:37 am
8:38 am
8:39 am
welcome back. we would like to interact you with you about social media, but even sometimes responses surprise us. there is a story that you did that got a lot of attention. explain. >> i did a story by a new ad. it's an ad launched by children's hospital. it warnings parents to teach their children about traffic safety. after the ad runny expectancy an hour with people on tweeter that said the ads were misleading and
8:40 am
sent. the majority of which are children and elderly. as a mother i find this unacceptable. >> mothers value in teaching children about traffic safety we also have to recognize that our children are not built for pedestrians. we're all willing to say look both ways. we got some tweets coming in. people that complain about child ads will be the first to lose a child running out into traffic, hashtag watch children we were talking about this a little bit upstairs. i was surprised about how many people were upset by the a. they said we needed to be focusing on traffic safety, the driver and not he essentially blaming the people that get hit pie the car. i don't know if it's blame, i am the mother of three boys, as a reporter i go out there and i do these stories where we have kids that get hit and it's a tragedy.
8:41 am
they're tiny little people that jump out. often times you are driving down the street and they run out in front of you. i feel you cannot warn enough about this. as a man it's one of my hugest fears. we're all about interaction. you you a video comments came n. you can send us your video comments. you can tweet them to us, we will interact with you and both karen and i will send sometimes hours on social mediaing going back and forth. we want to be fair and we wanted to represent the other side of that discussion that so many said that we didn't represent. >> s you went to manasquan yesterday? >> i was. did you see any sharks. >> no. many of you seeing them, many many of you taking pictures. one guy had seen it all. he took this from a kayak.
8:42 am
he said don't worry about them. no big deal. you'll get to hear all about his experience with the sharks. we'll be right back.
8:43 am
8:44 am
good morning on fox 29 weekend. we're talking about sharks. for instance, look at this video from july 4th weekend.
8:45 am
a guy reeled in a shark from the serve at 32nd street in brigantine and it seems like more and more people are seeing sharks along the jersey shore and maybe it was because discovery channel shark week, but sharks have been the talk all over the social immediate y. whenever i body boarded i get real scared in the water. maybe i watched too much shark week. have there been any sharks in the ocean. >> of course there are sharks in the ocean and this man knows all of about em this. his name is tony contact tune owe. >> shark tony, you go out there and you actually fish for sharks. ole tell us about that. you caught a big one recently. >> i would fish and watch the sunset, i would catch fish around i started catching brown sharks and dragging them up on the beach. it's really attracted a the look
8:46 am
of attention, probably not the attention i was looking for. when i was doing that people would be yelling my name and yell shark and that's how i got the name shark tony. >> you go fishing out in a kayak. >> i have a 12-foot kayak and the biggest shark i got was seven or eight feet long. you're not concerned bit. >> not at all. > there seems to be panic and hysteria. should people be worried. >> i don't think oh. when you can see dolphins breaching water. people say look at the dolphins, at the same time there are brown sharks and other sharks and they if they were inclined to bite people they couldn't hold the swims where hundreds of people participate. we're also seeing more sharks, why. >> i think the social media where people take pictures and it's all over the media, that's one thing. and the other thing there could
8:47 am
be a disproportionate amount in the water. it's a shark biting. itself really not an attack. it's labeled an attack and people get into a hysteria about it. i don't think it's a legitimate concern. >> i'm just trying to tell you what i know. >> i was reading an interesting quote from you, there are many sharks out there. there are some if you saw them you'd get out of the water. >> are people confuse bad what they're seeing. >> being from jersey in 47 years i've never heard about it, one of the things that shouldn't be brought on the beach. when i pull up on the beach, i get them back in the water as quickly as possible. if someone gets bit by shark, it's going to cause a bit hysteria and it's not going to
8:48 am
be good for people or sharks. >> you sound like an advocate. when tell take sharks out of the water to make soup. i can't stand pollution. the shark has no problem with me, but unless they come up on the boardwalk they're in the going to get to me. shark tony, we appreciate it. i'm not going out with you. i will come out and hang out. >> you'll see me there. guys, if you have any comments for shark tony you can leave them on our fox 29 facebook. you can tweet us at fox 29 philly. just make sure you use the hashtag fox 29 weekend. > hi, this have you ever been involved in an awkward money conversation with friends, family, co-workers? >> have the money by tomorrow and there won't be any problem. i'm going to give you a few
