poured from the bottle into a plastic cup. lest i use the plastic bottle as projectile there was a problem they didn't have the right size cup so all the contents of the bottle would not fit in the cup. i was given a choice to chug the remaining iced tea at the counter or throw the rest away. i chugged. then back to the game. where a youthful looking and very drunk fan was deliberately blocking the view of other fans with an oversized flag. the event staffer nearby literally turned her back on the scene. i guess if she cannot see the drunk he doesn't exist and it's not her problem. well it became a problem moments later when the drunk wobbled up the steps and begun to get into an argument with several fans across from us. well, to her credit she quickly alerted security staffer that arrived within students to apprehend the drunk. finally for his safety and our sanity, that drunken fan would be removed from the venue. nope. the security staffer you see
8:35 am
started up the steps in search of the drunk and then was intercepted by an old friend. as the two of them sat there chatting the drunk continued up the steps to the upper deck. by the time our security staf staffer and friend exchanged pleasantryes the drunk disappeared to the upper deck crowd did thater clearly drunk fan impaired get home safely, who knows. it was a good game for the cold cup championship if only the linc was as strong. our post script mexican manager was fired allegedly for punching a reporter at the philadelphia airport. only in philly. all right. it is 8: 35 now. everybody knows if you look to this weekend it's august 1. it's already time to think about going back to school. and that means so many things all the moms and dads have had

starch. these three flowers give a great texture and crunchy consistency and lemon zest. little parmesan again and here we go. parsely. pepper and some salt. so i mix dry ingredients like this and trick to good batter is not to over mix it here i have seltzer water or club sod soda, sparkling mip ral water. mix this gently without beating it too intensely. because once the water hits the flower it develops gluteens and the more energy you put in it the more gluteen that will not equal determined batter that's all i'll mix it and then it will be ready. it's a little lumpy they'll work out. now it's rested in refrigerator for hour and i'll mix.
8:52 am
it stir until combined and that's consistency it's like pancake patter that's what you want. on end down submerge them they need to be fully coated you drop them in and then they float. notice they float. if you don't do this they'll drop and sink to the bottom and they'll stick to the grates of fry basket which you don't want. now the flower color is coming through and these are looking beautiful i think they're ready, let's pull them out and up and shake off the excess and put them on paper towels to absorb here they're nice and crispy and beautiful. i put salt on it i don't put pepper on fried food i don't think it's good we put parsely and parmesan and we shake them areturned and stack them on a plate and then i take some of the parsely and cheese here and
8:53 am
put it on top. now it's time to taste. i taste the corn rick ot aanchovy and parmesan and awesome crust. i'm chef luke palidino. awesome crust. i'm chef luke palidino. this is your fox food bite

around some race time there. there's a big race weekend about today and tomorrow up in the poconos. so watch for just a few showers passing through the area today. not tomorrow though. this is just today where we see showers and storms developing. 70s north and west there 80 in philadelphia and heading to 90 this afternoon and still low humidity. it's nice and kol for the annual. as far as computer forecast shows we will try to touch 90. getting close by, 3:00 this afternoon and close toss about 88 with computer forecast i certainly think we could hit 90 given how dry it's been. trying to gets cooler up to the north and then nice seabreeze developing especially along the coast. we're talking about the heat wave today, tomorrow and it continues by monday this is a marginal threat for severe weather as a front approaches. this will be the end of heat wave as the temperature then drops back into the 0s for highs later this week. breezy this afternoon and there we hit 90 by 5:00 you notice

wrote about this a few days ag ago. with you look at the fact that black men are 21 more times like hi to be shot and killed by police than their white counter parts and when you look at the fact that justice department says plaque people or more likely to face force when they deal with police than white or latinos we have a race problem in the country and i think that black hive is not seen as being as important as other people's lives in this country and hopefully this comparison hopefully the things happening lately hopefully all of these things will allow us to really look at that in a clear-eyed way and face it and come up with some solutions for that problem. >> you know i tell you it's interesting. african-american myself and others i've spoken to are equa equally angry about what happened with cecil the lion. maybe it will on all eyes. what happens does he get extradited and we look closely at this, will the back lash continue. >> i think the back lash will continue i don't think he will

- welcome to "awesome planet," i'm philippe cousteau. the oceans cover 71 percent of our planet, and contain countless species. but perhaps what's most incredible is that human beings have explored less than five percent of the oceans, leaving one to wonder what kinds of incredible discoveries are yet to be made. so this week we'll be looking at different types of ocean exploration, and spending time with some of the scientists working tirelessly to uncover just a few of her many mysteries. in this episode we'll explore the deep sea, and catch some massive waves. now we get a chance to get in the water. what can we expect down there? join me, philippe cousteau, as we discover our magnificent oceans, on "awesome planet."
