through a south jersey liquor store. a very close call for the clerk. police say it was an elderly woman who hit the goods instead of a brake. it is a mistake that happens. no one was seriously hurt. this was all yesterday afternoon at the wine owe land in laurel springs. employees and customers say this i the fourth time a vehicle has come crashing through in recent years. this isn't the first time. >> this is not the first time. what is it with this placements they should have a drive through. after the crash an employee chased down a guy, the store is wide open, someone goes in and tries to steal down a guy. there's about $5,000 damage to the store not counting the lost alcohol. the manager says they do have insurance. it is coming up on 8:04, some very sad news. there was a terrible crash that

happened last night that killed a local sprint car driver of bucks county. it was in mechanic, james campbell, jr. was from feasterville and he was killed when his car struck a wall of his track. this happened during some of the warmup lapse much the speedway canceled the program last night and also the program for today. new jersey transit is getting in on the action, special tickets are going on sale today for people who want to see the pope next month. we have sabina car crows with what we need to do today. good morning. >> karen, tickets go on sale at noon today and if you are planning to ride nj transit to go to see the pope you will need the special rail pass. the passes are for the atlantic city rail line. they're also for river line light rail between trenton and cammen did. atlantic city rail line has just

over 4,000 tickets available at 30-dollars each. river line about $500 and they have to get them in straps. it's first come, first serve right up until the friday before the pope's wrist it. they go on sale at into today, if you know you're going to need them, the best option is to get them now. here is new jersey executive talking at a conference earlier this week. special tickets will be needed to travel, special tickets. whether you currently have a monthly pass or a regular ticket, you must purchase a special ticket. the atlantic city rail line will be express only from atlantic city to philadelphia. no interim stops will be made. everybody needs to find out where they need to go and how they need to buy a ticket to get there. a lot of info there, but basically get them while they're hot. tickets on sale today, you be get them at nj transit.com.

river line tickets can be bought at one of six tickets. you you got to get them before the friday of the popes visit. back p here live. packer riders are reminded, it's going to be on sale until september 1. if you know if you're going to be visiting the pope, the big message start buying now. the big part with all the transit and what have you with all the security. with the historic visit philadelphia now just six weeks away this week we were introduced to this, the security map of philadelphia telling us where we were allowed to walk freely, where our carses can and can't be parked. on social media people are already responding to this. this particular tweet went to walk 29 iain page summed it all up.

more headaches. joining us a professor at drexel university national security. good morning. >> you're an expert on this. it's not the first time the pope has come to philly, not even in the united states. is all the security necessary. >> the united states is a target for terrorism. the pontiff is a continual target for terrorism, so i think it's important that we have a security response, but have that response be proportion l al. there's going to be those rings of security around the pontiff that always exist. it's the other folks. it's the 1 to 1.5 million visitors to our city that's going to be interesting to our security. it never seems to go to this level. they're the supposed to be in the world at security, so why this level of president versus

pope? >> well, i think the issue here is not necessarily the identified person, the protected person, i ' president or the pope. it's the group of people. when the president came to town when elanned at the airport we did block off 95 and then of course we immediately reopened it. we didn't have the large crowd, the 1.5 million people coming to see him. it was a much more con contained situation with the president. we were able to vet people h went in to see him speak. this is going to be an open ground environment and it's going to be much more difficult with that number of people to protect. this is a safety issue. not so much the security for the identified person. it's interesting that you point that out because one of the things that's been dominating the discussion can, some criticism of our citied a perfection versus the secret service and the back and forth over who is taking the league. in your experience, how much of this is a discretion of the city and you who much of this is just

standard practice? >> a good question. i think our police officers in the city did an excellent job in the role they do, but they're not security experts and this is a national special security event as deemed by the secretary of homeland security. the secret service are the people who do this every day. they're the people with the responsibility of protecting the diplomatic corpse and so on. ultimately the question in the end of this question was the response proportional. >> obviously it's too early to make that decig, but based on your interpretation, is this the kind of think where people get all worked up about it beforehand and then we sit back and say that was the appropriate response. >> i think it's going to be interesting to see. i think one of the things that's important for the office of the mare is to continue to give information to the people. you mentioned earlier about the social strat and what was going

oppressive compared to what it is now. the temperature will climb above 90, but there is plenty of sunshine around. nothing on our ultimate doppler. our current temperature is right at 73-degrees. the dewpoints are 64, but this will drop down below 60 it will feel nice and comfortable as far as the humidity goes. the heat is coming back. p if you're stepping outside, there's a lot going on. one way you might want to stay cool is this. this is ashley and this is dsk science in the summer day here at the franklin institute and we are forecasting full of flurries and fireworks. wow. what's your forecast, dave. stay away from the fires there, but it certainly could be hot outside. it looks like a great event. in philadelphia you'll see that the temperature by 10:00 is up to 78. we hit 90 by 2:00 may be dropping down to the upper 80s by 5:00.

the humidity is down, but that will start to change tomorrow, elsewhere it's in the upper 60s now so just a little cooler in the surrounding suburbs. sea breeze will develop this afternoon. that's one place where it's nice and cool. temperatures will be in the 80s and could drop into the upper 70s. ultimate doppler all clear that's because we have high pressure in control. around the high that's where we get the storms tanking. the humidity starts to creep in from the south, though, any type of shower or storm will stay to our west. future weather shows thistle a few popup shows in western pennsylvania, but these will try to work their way into the pennsylvania area. we have a few storms in the seven-day forecast. i'll show you when and that's coming up just a little bit later. hey, everybody i'm jen frederick and this is mom-o-logue, if you're sitting on the couch with your kids and record this episode and then pause.

8:29 on fox 29 weekend, getting you caught up on the news. karen, 11 1 # 2 district and kittens were rescued from horrific conditions but they're now safe after that rescue. it's a case of hoarding and the pennsylvania spca saved the animals from an eastern pennsylvania home near the pocono mown instance. local authorities were tipped off to the henryville home where cats were found living in filthy flee-infested conditions. the volunteers surrounded the animals without being kept up with the cats reproduction rate. the cats mostly kittens will be made available for adoption after their health check. can you believe it's almost back to school? how do we get our kids on a schedule and something they always worry about in school does being cool really matter later in life? we're talking about this one. nicole writes i'm adamant about

my kids' school routine. kids need rest. yes they do. and andy says the important thing to remember how popular you are in high schoolç won't remember how soon as you graduate. bringing us with some back backo school. we've got dina cent faint think. we have a lot to talk about with the kids going back to kid. let's start with the kids staying up, getting them up early, how do we get them ready we have to be ready for this. isn't this horrible? bad for us, really bad for the kids. what we need to do is reset their body clocks, so the question becomes how does one do that, i talked to a neurologist who is also a sleep expert. he told me there are four

rhythm. the biggest one is light and that goes back to the days of the cave mans, we're awake when it's light out and we go to sleep when it's dark. another thing is activity and food and social interactionsment those are the four things you should be looking at when changing your body clock. light, you have to get a nice dark room when it comes to getting that bedtime back. social interaction of course we're talking a lot about text aging, virtual interaction versus knowledge thatting out with friends and eating a big meal, those things, you can't do a lot of that right before bed because your body is in the process of shutting down. one expert suggests that now is the time to start cutting back on all of those things and especially with the electronics. we have an electronics at my house over the school year. during the summer it's been a free for all. there's no rules all of a united states sen. now is the time to say maybe

10:00 let's turn the phones in to the basket, turn the tvs off at 10:00. of course it's always a battle, but it conflicts with your body, when you have that light from your phone or your tv, it's telling your body to stay awake. high school and junior high, the hardest thing, you always want to be popular. it's one of the toughest times in all of life, kids are awkward and mom always tells you it's okay, i love you. it doesn't matter. you've don't have to be the coolest kid. now we have some research to back that up. mom has some science on her side. for all of our slightest nerd did i kids this will redeem you. they looked at ages 13 to 23. at 13 the cool kids were labeled cool because i was three things because they were involved in a romantic relationship so they had a girlfriend or boyfriend.

and said did you get the same thing? why did i get this bizarre thing. no one else got it. she says it's upsetting. he read it and he kind of looked at me and he says mom what does that mean. i said it's probably just a joke, but then after his bath and i put him to bed and he said he was scared. target released a s atement said they apologize and will take steps to make sure it doesn't happen again. a the look of you had opinions about it. angela wrote sorry, but it's creepy and worth looking into. who prints out these addresses, perhaps someone recognized her name, a toker. i want an explanation, too. unless she was planning on actually killing her kids and it somehow ruined her plans i fail to see the big deal. it's probably something she was going to throw away. i am with the mom. i would want a little bit more information on that.

life. in the late 80 itself, early 90s this was an open drug air market. there were a lot of homes here. these empty lots were homes and we played in them. this was our community. these kids weren't bad kids. this was probably it right here. my mom and my sister and i were abused physically and regularly. could he last oh knew he needed to dedicate himself to maturing so he would ensure tat and yeah's life would be better than his own. i swore to myself i would be aette abouter father to myself daughter. he turned a facility that many would think that only improved people physical, he cease the connection between body and mind. he admits that a lot of the time he's writing for himself. seeing him in all the local businesses. he has a wonderful family. he lives in our town and we're

we're going to pull the husk back and remove the silk as much as we possibly can. once the silk is removed we can p put the husk back around the corn and soak it overnight. by soaking the corn overnight it will able us to grill the corn and not grill the corn at the

same time. we're going to take the husk off. look at how beautiful that corn is. a really good crop. at this point we're just going to rub our corn with a little olive oil we're going to go over and make hur mixture. what we're going to do is we're going to add three tablespoons of manas, three tablespoons of cream fresh. if you can chop a couple tablespoons of fresh basil. chop the basil. a couple cloves of garlic, you

roast in the often. at that point we're just going to mix. we went to our favorite cheese shoprite here rosellis and we got some great pecorini romano and we had our cheese grated up for our. that's going to be the final step. we're going to turn our corn every couple minutes. our corn is just a couple minutes away here and we're going to season, salt and a little bit of black pepper here. and you can do that to taste. i like a lot. it looks beautiful. look at that. nice carmelization. the corn gives a nice smokey flavor to the corn and easy to do on your grill. real simple we have our cream mix. you can take the pastry brush and smear it all over your corn.

it's just cream and it's happy now. this corn is happy. and that is a real taste. i like a little spice in my life so i take a little diane, it really sets it up and from there it's ready to eat. outstanding. i'm chef kevin joseph from roselli's market fresh and this (plays throughout)

course it's a nice day out there. we actually call it an 8. not a 10. we have a lot of humidity and dry. we have a heat wave beginning. not a perfect day, but all in all not that bad. temperatures are in the 70s. already warming up quickly, easily touching 90 this afternoon. it will warm up quickly down the shore but then we'll see that number drops. ultimate doppler clear. showers and storms are in the seven day forecast. we'll see if that will drop our temperatures. thats ' coming up just a little bit later am at 9:01 several people are displaced after a four alarm fire in trenton. it happened just after 10 last night in the 200 block of hills place. the fire started in a row home and quickly started. right now the cause of fire is under investigation. also new from overnight police are looking into a shooting in

west philadelphia. officers say two men were shot in the 5700 block of cherry street just before 2:00 this morning. so far no arrests have been made. take a look at this, a car barrels through a south jersey liquor store. did you see that clerk that was right there not only missed getting struck, police say i was an older woman who hit the gas instead of the brake. we hear about that happening. good news, nobody was seriously hurt, but there is a huge mess. this was at the wine owe land. that's over on the white horse pike in laurel springs. both the employees and the customers tell us this is the fourth time a vehicle has come crashing through. they made a drive through over here. thinks president the first time. this is not the first type. what is it with this place? they should have a drive through. after the crash there was an employee who chased a guy down to tried to take advantage of the situation and steal l alcohol. they got after that person. there's about $5,000 worth of damage to the store not counting all of the lost alcohol. the manager says they do have

insurance. also happening today, septa did it, now it's new jersey transit's turn to get in on the action because the special tickets are going on sale for people who want to see the pope next month. sabina karakose is here with more you need to know. how is it going in new jersey? >> so far, so good, the moment of truth is going to be at noon today in about three hours when those special passes go on sale. they are limited. when we say limited we are talking a very small number. only about 4,000 passes per day for atlantic city rail are available. that will take you express right into 30th street station. on the river line, 7500 passes available each day trenton and camden. the typical ridership for that line, the river line is about 10,000 per weekday during norm l al business hours. so they're going to be operating at about 75 percent capacity for when the pope comes here.

you can buy the tickets right up until the friday before pope francis' visit but once they sell out they are all gone. new jersey transit officials spoke about the tickets at a press conference this week and explained the reason for not being up their ability to take on riders. septa we know is doubling its usual weekday capacity for the pope. they will remain on sale until they're sold out, but they will not be sold on saturday and sunday. this is the weekend, saturday and sunday. we have limited capacity because we have to be able to get everybody safely queued at these stations. if you're familiar with the river line station configurations, they're not large footprints. again, bill and karen we will see at noon when the tickets go on sale. you can buy them at nj transit.com. you can get them at about one of the six or seven stops, including pennsauken and trenton. back here life, ac tickets about

i always got very excited going out on trips. i slowly moved up the state and eventually i went -- moved to point ton beach, florida. i've been offshore fishing now for about three years. basically i fish every weekend weather permitting of course. but i'm out there all the time and me and my boyfriend have a 23-foot crow line that we constantly fish on so i'm always out there. i'm always active. always trying to catch the next big fish. i'm trying to show the world that girls can do this, too. it's not that hard. it's not totally a boys' sport. it's fine to get your hands a little dirty. it's no big deal. i think girls can actually fish better than guys. i've seen a lot of comments certainly on your twitter page. there are so many guys that obviously follow you, my brother-in-law one of them. he says i follow this girl. this comment who came in from

jimmy because frankly you're in a bikin any in almost every single one. at some point i must try the offshore deal. i got this cute one of a little girl that came in from her dad who says all on her own i think she's ready for offshore. lol. and you're an inspiration to her. i think there's two parts, the little girls you inspire and the other part certainly is a lot of the men that you also inspire. what do you make of that? >> right. i think it's awesome either way it goes and basically just, you know, i want everyone to realize that fishing is an exciting and with my videos and whatnot it's trying to show people it's simple and trying to show them methods to go out there and catch fish like i can. i have a very diverse fan base. it's awesome just to have so many people supporting me.

i love it that girls support me, too. i'm showing girl power, baby. it's a good thing. it doesn't matter what your age is, your gender or anything. i just love the fact that people like to watch me fish andeny my videos and actually think they're informative. the ' awesome. last thing in 30 seconds, what's the craze yes, sir thing that ever happened to you. have you ever had a shark that you're trying to catch and something happened? >> i would probably say the craze yes, sir thing that ever happened would probably be i was hand lying in a what hot and humid we got close to the boat and i grabbed it so we could pull it in through the transom door and actually one of the lines got grabbed around my gloves and my hand and i lost slip of the what hot and humid and it started to jerk back and grabbed my hand. thank god my boyfriend was there to take it off my hand or else

the pocono mountain area. the authorities were tipped off. someone called and said we have a hoarder that is overwhelmed. that's where they were found in filthy, flee infested conditions. some injuries were untreated. the owners voluntarily surrounded their animals because they couldn't care for them all. you love all your pets, but they couldn't keep up with them all because most of the them were kittens. the good news is after they are checked out they will put up for adoption. philadelphia place say this pick pocket dance moves couldn't fool a surveillance camera. he was insideç then tray restaurant on south streets. you can see him casually reach into a woman's bag. he would be dancing around, tries to find something. reaches in, takes it and then tucks -- reaches into her purse and then tucks it into his

that delays rose six percent. the agency blamed the brutal winter which shutdown highways and hubs as well as internal changes like shutting down mail sites. we've got a story that is coming up, that makes us say what the hashtag. there's a new coffee house, it's in japan, it's not nearby, definitely not for the faint of heart. how would you like a snake with your cup of joe? >> not at all. customers at the tokyo snake center can sip their beverage of choice while holding a non convenient must snake. why? it's only been open for about a week, but it's also attract steady crowd. customers say they like the way the snakes feel, the way the snakes look and cafe owners say that's the point. the center says it's hoping to change the perceptions of snakes letting customers know that they make great pets. that's all you. you enjoy that.

trying to do their job. however, if you are armed and get disarmed, thank god all you got was pistol whipped. tony says, if he was business toll whipped he had the right to shoot him. i don't understand. this last one, you reap what you so. a few bad officers getting away with crimes making it bad for the good than woulds. if the justice system would start sentencing them as they do any others this could be avoided. my reaction was similar to the last tweet. we've had so much of an issue with all of that that everybody needs to be aware, stop standing back and passing judgment. officers are so hesitant that this kind of thing is happening and people are so hesitant that this type of thing is happening we have to close that gap. we have to talk. the president just spoke, he does this radio address every saturday and that was sort of the topic because it's been a year since we've had ferguson.

we had some problems from a small isolated group this past answer veery. officer ramsy mentioned philadelphia, we do have some things that are in the works. the hard part is how do we think the police is going to l solve this when h this is a conversation that makes us uncomfortable. if you are questioning your training, then the training is probably off. hopefully as tragic as all of this we learn from it. we'll continue to bring you information on it. we'll be back in just a moment.
