after a military jet crashes during an air show in england. we do want to warn you that you may find this video disturbing. this happen at the shore show. the it's right near brighton. the jet hit several vehicle also when it came crashing down. it looked like it failed to pool out of that loop. i'm superintendent michael chip hood with a rid ohio that is beep me off this week. two guys pull into a philadelphia store. during the assault one officer pulse out a handgun and points it at the victim. the confrontation becomes a massive brawl. within a few minutes shots were fired in the area. when you look at this video it shows these two, what i consider to be vision thugs. they come in and demand the
8:06 am
victim was targeted. there is no doubt in my mind that they went into that store specifically to get this guy. the victim was very, very lucky that he he did not get shot. the other person who is lucky was the good samaritan who tried to break up the fight. this is becoming more and more common in our society with the increase, availability of guns that these bums can. i'm superintendent michael chipwood, that's my take. we know you've got some questions about the pope coming to town in less than six weeks. we're going to go right to the top. we have our mayor, michael nutter joining us to talk about the people's play book coming out tomorrow. he'll let you know what to expect. to answer your question, use the

8:11 am
condolences, our hearts always bring whenever we lose one of our public servants, whether they're on the job or in their own private time, they're always our public servants and it's very, very sad. i just wanted to make sure that i expressed my condolences. >> to that sergeant who is 32 years old who was killed over at henry avenue in that accident today. thank you so much. all of. we have the plan coming out tomorrow. there has been a lot of discussion about the details, what do we expect to get tomorrow, a lot of people looking to be called. >> a lot of the quote, unquote security or access details are actually out in the public. we've been doing that, getting it out for the past few weeks.
8:12 am
the secret service really laid out in the high 90 percent of everything that we have. the page play book, if you will, is primarily being put together by the world meeting of families of philadelphia, done a farrell and her were certainly a part of that. we have information that we've added to the play book and the commonwealth has as well. it's really going to be mostly a guide about folks can get and utilized whether you're in the traffic box or if you're in the secure perimeter, the secure vehicle perimeter, wherever you're going to be. if you're out in west philly or wherever the case may be it will give you a lot of information about the world meeting of congress, families is really what it's leading into it. it's one great event, that we have to talk about in two parts. how to get around, what to prepare for, whether you're attending this incredible event
8:13 am
or not. we want people to have as much information as possible. a the look of the discussion about security quite honestly is the security that we're talking about is really less about security of pope francis. the italian government, the swiss guard, the vatican police, the philadelphia police, the fbi, homeland security and the secret service ultimately are really responsible for the pope's security. the security we're you can thatting about is the hundreds of thousands, possibly a million people or more on the streets of the city and how those folks can get around. it is not much of an option when the streets are filled with people. we want people to be secure as well as the pope. bill and i have a story when we've been out in the community with the stories, people maybe put off by the amount of walking. we're too old, we're aching, we
8:14 am
can't do that. some of the people with the families with strollers can't do it, either. what do you say that the folks that most want to go are going to be put off by the amount of walking. >> i think the folks will make their ultimate decisions. i don't think that folks should say somehow they're going to drive their car up to 20th and parkway and say here we are. it doesn't work that way in the environment for the kinds of things that we have to do. on the other hand there will be a lot of people here and many of them will walk or figure out how to get as close as possible. this is going to be a really happy, joy us occasions. any of the video that you had on earlier, i don't know where that was, but more than likely those folks had to walk there at a certain point to come and see the wholly father. you've been aware of some of the people saying it's a the look of
8:15 am
security, a lot of walking. there's also some question about the secret service and the city coordinating and working together. are you guys on the same page and have you gotten together. >> those discussions have been ongoing for months and months and months way before there were any public announce itself. when you have a special security event, an sse which is this event is, this is the first time we've ever had one of these special events. >> maybe the republican convention. >> these are post-9/11. since then, world series, super bowl, democratic convention, republican convention all get that particular designation and it comes with a significant amount of responsibility and a certain level of security in a post 9l11 environment, certainly if you're in the united states of america, obviously we take
8:16 am
these things very, very seriously l. the issue about the different primary terse again are really mostly for maintaining both traffic control and pedestrian control so that you don't have a lot of conflict. if you're in your car and you're now on a street that is filled with people, you're going to be a very frustrated motorist and quite frankly maybe some of the pedestrians are frustrated as well. we want to avoid some of those conflicts. you end up in a deaden environment and then what do you do? there will be some level of inconvenient. yeah, some folks will have to walk a certain amount of distance, but at the same time, it's not like folks should expect to drive their cars right up, i'm here, let me park on 20th street, i'm good and i'm just going to go in. we'll figure it out. before you go, big game last night, what did you think when you watch it? >> this was the best sports finale in the united states of
