it's thanksgiving weekend, and she's back. >> the gang's all here. we're all back. and thank you for being back with us. we really appreciate it. on this pretty nice saturday. >> how was your trip? >> it was fantastic. laying on the beach, chilling. i'm happy to see my people. >> lots of people thinking about taking some vacation plans, but dave warren, how is the weather in our neck of the woods? >> the weather is looking pretty good. travel weather is okay. this is pictures coming in this morning, we have clouds moving in. beautiful, beautiful sunrise. thank you for that annie. now, the radar shows we are looking at some rain. things will be changing. some rain is moving in and that will be leading to some rain tonight and tomorrow. it's slowly will work its way south. that's what it looks like on the radar now. cannot rule out a shower to the north, but it really starts to develop here across the area overnight tonight. this is by 6:00.

here's just a few showers, becoming a little heavier from philadelphia to the south overnight tonight. that's when we expect to see the rain. during the day today, 52 that's the current temperature. no question it will be all rain because the colder air is coming in not until after the rain moves out. 52 right now. the headlines we have coming up once this rain is coming in, it's another warm day, but that rain develops tonight. we'll have the timing when it moves in, when it moves out, continues sunday morning, but changes with the temperatures, getting much colder. a look at those numbers coming up a little bit later. >> we are following this breaking news that is just coming in. we know that three people have been rescued, after that there was a fire right there in bethlehem. this started just before 3:00 this morning firefighters say when they got to the scene, police were already working to do the rescues and get people out. one person was rushed over to the hospital. we are still working to find out

their condition. >> the attic area showed a lot of smoke, fire was coming out of the first floor, going up the side of the building. the building has extensive damage. i'm not sure if anyone is going to be able to be in that building today. they may not be for a while. >> we're told the flames quickly spread to four more units in one building and another 15 units were damaged from the smoke and the ware. investigators are still trying to figure out the cause. >> also breaking this morning, another attack in mali. a united nations spokesman says at lease three people were killed and another 20 hurt where attackers fired rockets into the un base. among the dead are two un peace keepers and a mission contractor. this comes after authorities arrested two men over last week's attack on a luxury hotel in the capital city. that attack killed 20 people. >> we're learning from the details this morning about the deadly shooting rampage at the

planned parenthood in colorado. we do know three people were killed in that shooting including a police officer. let's get the latest from the details on this developing story. jennie joyce in our news room this morning. >> good morning. we are hearing from witnesses this morning about the chaotic and terrifying event and about the officer who was killed.

we are told that patients and staff took cover, one man describes how he came face to face with the gunman, he was sitting in his car out front as the shooter opened fire. >> i saw a man crawling to the front door, i saw the glass shattered and he crawled into the entryway and i saw this other fellow come behind him and shoot down and up and walk into the entryway. i just kind of lost it there. >> reporter: officers eventually made contact with the gunman and persuaded him to surrender. it was about five hours into the standoff. the men's and women's university of colorado colorado springs basketball team will hold a moment of silence at their game today in honor of the fallen officer. delaware state police are asking for your help searching for this man right there. he shot and killed a person yesterday morning on the parking

lot of the american car wash. police tell us both taylor and the victim worked together at that same car wash. if you've got any information about his whereabouts please call police right away. >> two philadelphia men have died. it happened friday afternoon in manasquan inlet. five people were on board none of them seriously hurt. we know the ages of the men who died, they were 66 and 74 years old and police say strong currents may have been a factor in the accident but they're still investigating. >> and caught on camera, plea men who robbed a chinese restaurant in the spring garden neighborhood. police say one of the men had a gun, one of them had a lookout, all three of them ran off. one of those men has been captured, is under arrest.

they are still looking for the other two. >> this morning's cover story, the street fight that's been seen around the country, emotions running high when philadelphia sixer jalil was caught punching a guy in the middle of a street. it all happened outside of a bar after wednesday night's game against the celtics. a man was apparently taunting him and punches were thrown. friends tried to hold okifer back. twitter got ahold of it, is blowing up over the situation. javier writes, i don't get why these players continually put themselves in this fm position. clubbing for athletes is just not smart. i love how hees screaming we've got money, like that makes him

superior. playing for sixers is punishment enough. good morning, ken. >> good morning, bill. >> i hope all is well with you. the last tweet indicated police, no charges, playing for the sixers is crime enough. but are there potentially charge the for okafor based on what you saw on the video? >> it looks like okafor was the aggressor here. there has to be a victim and right now police can't find a victim. unless someone comes forward, there will be no criminal charges at all. >> it looks like there's scattered and mixed reports because some say they're trying to confirm that it was okafor. if someone comes forward, what about civil charges?

coalition against air strikes even after that turkish military shot down a jet. >> reporter: the decision to suspend the visa free -- this decision will come into force on the 1st of january, 2016. >> yesterday's ceremony in france comes just days ahead of the united nations climate change conference in paris. >> and three people are under arrest this morning after a protest friday along chicago's magnificent mile. hundreds of demonstrators marched elbow to elbow and shut down the city's famed michigan avenue. the protesters were outraged over the killing of an african-american teenager by a police officer. they blocked store entrances and some major retailers were forced to closed. the protesters are angry it took

the police department a year to release dash cam video of an officer shooting a 17-year-old 16 times. the officer was charged with first degree murder just before the video was made public on tuesday. >> chicago is a tale of two cities. you literally have somebody being executed on camera while the whole city covers it up and you have other people shopping like nothing happened. >> they are calling for the police superintendent to resign and he says he's not quitting and he won't let protests escalate to the level of furg son or baltimore. >> two people were killed in texas. firefighters in garland found one of the victims inside a car that was literally submerged in the water. officials say the person tried to drive through the high water but got trapped in the vehicle. more flooding is expected in parts of that state today. >> let's take a look at our weather right now. and it's a gorgeous picture

right there, reading, pennsylvania. a lot of races going on. it's been really unseasonably warm in our neck of the woods. >> very, very warm. >> i saw california, they have snow in their mountains already. >> they have freeze warnings in south -- southern california, not here. we'll have it eventually. if you step outside, you'll see the clouds coming in ahead of the rain and that makes for great sunrises. the clouds will continue to increase and so will the temperatures. these are the current readings this morning. 52 in philadelphia, upper 40s and 50s in allentown. mount pocono above freezing. hang tight, the cold air will come back eventually. 52 in philadelphia, still 48 in

millville. a lot of 40s and 50s to the south. this will all be rain that's coming in. ultimate doppler tracking this right now. going through western pennsylvania, it fall as part and slides to the northeast. really not expecting much in the way of rain today. there will be a few showers mainly in the north and western suburbs there, see some rains trying to reach the ground. future weather computer just has these clouds. starting to see green there by 9:00 tonight. so today mainly dry those showers mostly north and west. this will be steady rain coming through pretty much right along the mason-dixon line there and there may be a few showers but a lot of this rain in south jersey and all of delaware, this is what you'll wake up to tomorrow. it pushes to the south and continues throughout the morning but starts to taper off and see how it begins to clear up to the north. and there's the cooler air coming in by sunday evening. these temperatures will start to drop. you can see while the rain is coming down, we're into the 50s,

police say the men broke into the market through the ceiling. you're seeing it now. they looked through the market, they stole cigarettes and cash. anyone with information about the incident should call police right away. at 8:28, philadelphia pounded the payment yesterday to make sure people were safe. they went door to door in nicetown. they went through home fire safety checklists with residents and installed smoke alarms free of charge. it's a program they've been doing for quite some time. on thursday a man died in a house fire on the same block and firefighters say he didn't have working smoke detectors in his home. and septa police are giving you a chance. they want a stolen phone returned. police say this woman took a phone that had been left at a station on temple's campus. the phone was taken last sunday night. they're giving her or whoever

welcome back. three people inches from disaster on the side of a connecticut highway. a car careens out of control. the driver suffered minor injuries. he arrested them right there at the scene. police say the 21-year-old was driving 85 miles per hour when he struck that car. >> also a holiday gathering takes a scary turn when a deck collapses. it happened at a home in georgia. there were 15 people on that deck when it all came crashing

down. >> today we're making pierogies, and this is your fox 5 food bite. we have 4 cups of all-purpose flour and one cup of warm milk and an egg and a pinch of salt.

you make a well and incorporate it like this and form the dough. and with this dough what's important is the milk is warm and not boiling hot and what that does is the warmth of the milk helps to develop the glutens in the flour. as i'm kneading, you want it to be silky here. you want to develop silky texture. you want to let this rest. for the filling, this is farmer's cheese. very delicate. the filling is this simple.

just some salt and two egg yolks. i like the egg yolks it gives it the richness. you a quarter pound of butter. you can see i'm getting color in the pan. you want to brown the butter. this is one onion. now we'll let this caramelize. you want it on medium high heat. you want them browned but not burnt. now our dough is well rested and we're ready to roll it out. now i have cutters here, about 2.5 inches, 3 inches, whatever size you like. you don't want to make them too

big. or you can use the ends of a water glass to punch these out. take a teaspoon here and put it in the dough. you don't need any water or egg, you just squeeze the dough with your fingers. the goal is to get as much filling as you can without overstuffing it. you can see our onions are nice and caramelized. a tiny bit of water. it will release all that wonderful flavor on the pan. we have our pierogi.

green right there. we are at 6:00 a.m. and there's a front moving in from the north that pretty much slows down. rain is coming down. moisture moving along that front, delaware, south jersey, rain tomorrow, rain continues until about noon and starts to move south. this is when you will see that colder air coming in. it's warm while the rain is coming down but colder 6:00 in the morning tomorrow, 40s, but watch it drop down below freezing. afternoon into the lower 30s. they like that in the poconos because then they'll start making more snow. the temperatures you'll wake up to a cold start on monday. 46 tomorrow, 35 monday morning with a cold breeze.

information this morning about a deadly shooting rampage. what we know about the shooter we have more coming up. >> first let's get a check of your interactive weather. dave warren headed up to hershey today. >> go to hershey park. the rain could be holding off until later tonight but pretty much everybody will be getting a little bit of rain over the next 24 hours. not happening yet. ultimate doppler shows much of the area is dry and much of the rain is sliding off to the northeast. it will slowly start to fill in and work its way south through the area. future weather shows just a fii showers are possible later today, but it really starts to fill in overnight tonight between about midnight and 6:00 a.m. right along the

we keep getting more information. what can you tell us now? >> reporter: the colorado springs police department released a mug shot of the suspect. he has been identified as a 57-year-old man of north carolina. we don't know what the shooter's motive was. police say he opened fire killing three people including police officer garrett swasey a six-year veteran of the force. two civilians were also killed. he stormed the center just after 12:00 p.m. yesterday then came gun fire and a five-hour-long standoff with police. we are told that patients and staff hid under furniture and in blocked rooms. one victim told the media that he was sitting in his car in the parking lot when he came face to face with the shooter. >> he started backing out and he was in front of me and he was

aiming at me. and i just hit the gas and he started shooting. and i was looking at his face. i think i had ten seconds, five to ten seconds to look at him to try to remember who he was and why he was doing that. >> reporter: terrifying. and that victim says shots were fired through his front windshield. he was hit and bloody but was able to drive for help he's obviously doing okay. as the community mourns, the basketball teams will hold a moment of silence at their games today in honor of the fallen officer. karen? >> it is 9:04. protesters taking to the streets of chicago for the fourth night in a row last night. three people were arrested marching against the deadly shooting of a teenager from last year but we just got that dash cam video released. showing a police officer killing

destroyed. police say that car crashed into the plaza and burst into flames. the person inside the car died. no one else was hurt. and prosecutors may now file murder charges after the victim of a brutal attack at a philadelphia gas station has died. 51-year-old robert barnes was attacked in april. he died wednesday and police say barnes and a teen were pumping gas for spare change when police say the teen accused barnes of hitting him and that sparked the attack. three adults and three teens have been charged. prosecutors are waiting for the medical examiner's report to decide whether murder charges will be filed. and septa is deciding to give you a break. they want a stolen phone returned and police say this woman took a phone that had been left at the station. the phone was taken last sunday night and they're giving her or whoever has the phone now until 5:00 p.m. on friday, december 4th, to turn that phone in to police.

there's a little blip there between 8:00 and 9:00. so maybe a few showers today. but as this front moves south, which is the focus for this rain, we'll see some moisture moving along. so by tomorrow morning it's been hovering right here around philadelphia. i would like to say philadelphia could wake up to some rain across delaware and new jersey. that rain continues. this is by noon, much of the day tomorrow especially south waking up to rain. it's all rain because the temperatures will still be warm. the cold air comes in eventually once that rain clears out. this is by 6:00 p.m. so between about noon and 6:00 we start to dry out. so if you have to do anything outside and don't like the rain, do it now or wait until tomorrow afternoon and evening. but if you do wait, you'll see the temperatures dropping quite a bit. it won't be in the 50s, it will be into the 40s as the colder air comes in. by sunday night we're getting back down to about freezing in the poconos, dropping into the 30s here across philadelphia. it will stay pretty chilly at least for monday. 35 and a cool briiz up to 47.
