fans and supporters just days after being charged in montgomery county with sexually assaulting a then em t many university employee at his home in early 2004. cosby posted a short message to twitter just to say thanks. in regards to the charges, cosby had said the encounter with the woman was mutual. his lawyer is going on calling it a flawed press that won't hold up in court. > weather hansom. good morning. the charges happened on ed with, but it's still something people are talking about all over the place largely because of the timing. you heard the comment, politically motivated. is this a witch hunt or a legitimate charge? >> it's seam as though that are legitimate charges that should have happened sooner, back in 2005 a different prosecutor decided not to pursue the case.
8:12 am
there's evidence in the documents that may be used in this case. also other women have come forward. whether or not their testimony will be able to be used in this case is up to the judge, but if there's enough there for kevin seal who is the da in montgomery county who believes it's worth pursuing. it could be both. the timing of a legitimate case, you touched on my next question which we've heard so much since 2004, 50 different people interviewed, et cetera. how much of that will actually have an impact on whether or not he ends up serving jail time. >> in general, the other acts are not supposed to come in. however, if they get tot point where they establish a course of conduct, then it's up to the judge as to whether or not they'll come in. here it's a very fine line because all of these other women have similar complaints,ç thate gave them drugs, that he gave them way ludes, that he gave them alcohol. there's going to be a strong argument by the prosecution that is actually a course of conduct that this gentleman engaged in
8:13 am
and therefore it should get in. there are tons of testimony, evidence, that's going to be questionable in this case. one thing i found out is mrs. cosby is actually testifying on wednesday. she's been ordered to in a different case. whether her testimony comes in here is also going to be a question. this is going to be a really interesting one to follow. again, on that view, you're leading the discussion as i suspected you always would. mrs. cosby being deposed, that's pretty unusual. people are talking about on on social media. can she be forced to testify against him? her attorneys argued no, she should not be forced to testify at all. if she's going to testify there are certain things she shouldn't be compelled to testify about. the judge seems to have entered a pretty blanket order that she has to eve. what judges sometimes do they say answer all the questions and then later we'll figure out what comes out and what gets in. the problem there is as we often
8:14 am
say in the law, you can't unring a bell. once that testimony is out there, whether it's sealed or not, whether it comes in at trial or not, it is out there. so her attorneys can't be really happy about this decision. in fact, it's my understanding that they have appealed it. heather, we have to leave it there. can you do it in a word, does he ever see the inside of a jail cell. >> questionable. > always a great day. >> spending time with heater hanson. she breaks it down like nobody else. what do you think? thank you, bill, are you trying to save some more money in 2016? it may not be as hard as you think in our cashing in. ray cotto shows us how to add some extra money to our bank p accounts. people make new years' resolutions. according to a recent study have of us will make one, but guess what, half of us will have

with your debit card it will round up to the nearest dollar. for example, pay 4.50 for something, it rounds it up to 5 bucks. that extra 50 cents goes automatically into your savings account. that will save you 19 extra dollars a month. that's 240 bucks a year. good idea. there you go. i can't help you stay resolute annulus weight this year, but with those tips and a little bit of effort on your party can help you put a few more of these in your bank account. i'm cashing out. > thank you. it all starts with discipline. we can all work on the discipline. looking out in allentown right now, clear, it looks like a beautiful winter day. dave, is that how it's going to stay?? >> it will stay like that today. if you today is winter-like, wait until you see the seven-day forecast. a big change coming this week. a nice start to the week.
