after a man asked police to check in on his brother who he hadn't heard from in several days. it happened at the hidden valley apartments friday afternoon. three people and a dog were found dead in one apartment and a fourth person was found in another unit. investigators say the cause appears to be environmental. and they're looking at carbon monoxide after reports from ems and firefighters reported higher levels. edward dun fee said he's the man who stopped by for help checking on his brother, carl. carl, two roommates and their dog lady bug were then found dead. i came three times. and then i went up to the office for them to give a courtesy call and then i got a phone call from the police department that this is what happened. > seven people were taken to the hospital. three of them are children. investigators say they do not suspect foul play and suicide doesn't appear to be the cause at this time, but the

7:08 am
two tickets that we found on craig's. when we went to scan them we found out they were fake. we were going to buy them at the box office. that's how big fans we were. i exchanged tickets in philadelphia. we go in. i had a feeling they were fake. he was selling them cheap. we asked him why he was selling them cheap. he said his friend just had surgery, he couldn't go anymore. follow your first instinct. the fbi is investigating more than 17,000 basketball fans. they all came in town. they're investigating the 17,000 -- or in town for the earn regional which wraps up here on subbed sunday. now, when i was down in florida i got a chance to check out the phillies at spring training. it was a lot of fun. i got me a little bit excited about a team that people aren't talking about that much. we have a big event happening

> 7:13. we all know in belgium the search continues for those behind tuesday's deadly terror acan thats. at least two americans are among the dead. 31 people were killed and another 270 were injured. turkey announced this week that it had warned belgium last year that one of the acan thatters had been flag as a foreign terrorist fighter. of course these attacks come months after the terrorist attacks in paris which left 130 people dead. now, in the afternoon math of those acan thats. much as they did after the belgium attacks people changed their facebook profile pictures and wrote messages on twitter, but eventually are life move on. why do we seem to forget and move on so quickly? dr. frank farly is the professor of piece, conference and violence and joins us life this morning. good morning. >> good morning. > you do see all over social media the worldwide support, but it does kind fade away
7:15 am
relatively quickly and people move onto the next thing. why does that happen so fast. >> you have to survive. you have to be a life and it can't be dominated by an event that took place across the ocean and is not in your neighborhood and you know we have our lives to lead. we want to be resilient. that's one of the factors in human survival. and so it's not surprising that people, you know, want to move on and get on with their life. doctor, the challenge with that, though, is that when something like this happens we hear about the fact that we have to be vigilant. we have to pay attention. we have to be aware. if we have that short of attention span, doesn't that open us up to future danger. >> i don't think so, honestly. i think it's healthily to move on. there's not been a truly major terrorist attack or incident on our soil here in the united states since 9/11. that's 15 years ago. and so the event in bustle les
7:16 am
is a long way from here. we just can't have our life jerked around by events like that. america has really been doing very well on the terrorist front. americans should not be afraid of terrorism. and therefore, i worry more about the continued discussion and debate about terrorism that's going on. it's hard to escape it in the media. it's every where. you worry more about the debate. that's thing. a lot of that comes from people wanting to do something or wanting to feel like they're contributing or helping. is there something we can do through social media or through outreach in our own coping that is actually beneficial? >> yeah, getting into other things, getting back into your life. i mean, if you want to deal with bruise also, i don't see any particularly strong way to do that other than posting your sympathies. that can make you feel good, you
7:17 am
know. that's a healthy thing. it's very important to get back to your life and get on with your life and again americans must realize that terrorism is not a significant factor in american life today. even though we hear about it all the time. in terms of death, there's no comparison with highway deaths, for example, or street homicides. so, you know, we have a lot of things on our plate here in america, but honestly we should face up that terrorism isn't one of them. > fair enough. dr. farly we appreciate it. the coping skills that we are doing you say are healthy. we'll continue on. >> yes. > thank you very much. we appreciate your time. >> you're welcome. > have a good one. it is 7:17 right now i'll bet you want to know how is the forecast? how is the day. >> it looks beautiful out there, but dave, it's a lot cooler than it's been? > yes. >> 60, 70s yesterday morning, but not the case right now, 30s and even some areas down blow

7:19 am
a few areas down blow freezing. we'll climb into the 50ss. we have warmer weather in the seven day forecast. that comes with a little bit of about it. i'll time it all up a little bit later. > maybe not me, but there is some people out there who make a whole lot of money. karen that doesn't mean that you know how to manage the time. athletes macule at money, get the huge paycheck and all of a sudden they're bankrupt. don't let that happen to you. we have our financial expert danry cot a with some tips to keep us all out of bankruptcy. so imagine this, you're a 24 year old up and coming nba player. ouijas signed a $90 million contract with the san antonio spurs, what kind of car are you buying. >> a fer regard he. >> n no, a by can cost according
7:20 am
to a recent sports article, up to 50 percent of nba players go bankrupt within five years of retirement. don't look very far, our own alan i ever son made 154 million bucks during his career, according to reports, he had a great time spending every penny of it. not a game. we're talking about crack. 90,000 americans, just ordinary folks filed for bankruptcy last year. what can we learn from these lessons. let me give you a few ideas. the first lesson we can learn from the nba stars and ordinary americans, have a budget and live within your means. it's easier than ever and you can put a budget on your smartphone with an app like this to control your finances right in the president obama of your hand. it makes it really simple. next up, have a rainy day fund, three to six months of living expenses just in case the car breaks down. how about that big hung of metal sitting in the driveway, average

7:32 am
he was playing a game. it was called hang out man. she found her son in the closet after her daughter told her he was playing a game pretending to be dead. this heart breaken mother is calling to all parents. watch what your kids are doing online. a part of me is gone. i know that you can't monitor your kids 24 hours a day, but some kind of way, take time out. be more involved to see what kind of websites and stuff they are on. that just hurts your heart. he was on an app called kik. how do we keep up with all the social media and what kids are doing and teach them what they see isn't something they should be engaging in. we brought in a parenting coach, brandy davis joining us this morning. >> good morning. thanks for having me. > you hear about the story and it just breaks your heart.
7:33 am
what do we need to do first? >> the first thing that parents need to do is really do their research, go online, google apps that kids are using. google dangerous challenges and dangerous dares. google things that parents should know because we don't always know what our kids are doing. it seems so simple, but p just google l and do that research and do that research. talk to some people that you know. just keep on top of the situation. and then you also say obviously it's so important to talk to our kids, but how do we have that information without planting these seeds in their minds, something that they may not have known about before this conversation. if i say it, they're going to learn about it. the truth is they probably already know and if they don't know yet, they will learn. it's better to be honest, say these are the things that are out there, there are predators out there. there are chat rooms out there. there are these challenges and tears that don't turn out well. check out the news reports. check out this blog about this. this is real life.
7:34 am
i'm not just telling you about a parent, as a groan up that this is something you want to do. this is really dangerous. kids are getting killed. you want to make it concrete. i'm a firm believing in snapping. do you recommend it, can i check-up on my kids and say it's in my hours, i can do it. >> i do think it's important to know what your kids are doing online. follow them on twitter, follow on instagram and let them know, beç honest, say listen, whatevr you post on social media and all that fun stuff, that's public now. if it's out there forth public, i'm going to look at it, too. i'm going to make your settings aren't private so you're blocking me. i'm ' going to check your browser history to make sure we can't clear. i'm going to stay on top of these things and they may get upset and say how dare you. sometimes our kids get mad at us is to keep our kids safe.

and a the planet. >> excellent tips. > thanks for coming in. >> thanks for having me. > let us know what you think about that one, too. great tips. a figure skater style and grace is usually impressive enough, but one man in montgomery county is even more inspirational. coming up why this figure skater is truly wowing people on the ice. plus, one college professor has an interesting suggestion. he says he knows how to get through to kids in the low-income communities. what he says classrooms should be modeled after. that and more coming up on good day. w??ççóo?óñçoñçwwññç

every song that comes on this i'm not 100 percent sure of, karen hepp, name that tune. you need a miracle to try to stump me. how about that here? i got a miracle here. a solution from one professor from columbia university, really interesting. he says this is a great way to help kids who are in some tough communities stay in school. a little bit controversial, but
7:39 am
i think it's really neat. christopher em democrat who is a professor at columbia's teaching college says that classrooms need to be more like gangs. it makes them feel responsibility and make them feel like a family who will look out for them and will protect them. kids need to feel like the school couldn't operate without them. that means the kids give special hand shakes for each other, then so be it. his argument is, school more like gangs. you guys both have children, yes or no. >> the responsibility party can understand, but i don't know about the special hand shakes and referencing it to a gang. i think it gets to your attention. at first it sounds terrible. but when you think about it, you have people watching your back. people belong to a club. that sounds great. hand shakes, feeling like a
7:40 am
group, all that kind of stuff we did in school anyway. i think that he's causing controversy when he said gang. >> that's what got my attention. it's a whole interesting concept. most schools do that anyway because you follow with the cult of the school, whatever your mascot is, villanova, we're all excited, you wear the colors. team, not gang. team professor, not gang. how about this, listen to this song. i actually bought this album, true confessions, extremely -- you know you did, too. 20 years ago this week. you can hear it right now, the hansonss. do you have it? >> no comment. the band has some news about the song. while everything you thought you knew about it may be wrong. a figure skaters style and grace is usually impressive enough, but one man from montgomery county is inspirational. coming up, why a figure skater is wowing people on the ice.

we take a look at a sunny morning. it is a little l l cooler, oh grab a light jacket or a sweater no matter where you're heading out. there's the ballpark right there. i just got back from florida, i forgot that i was back in philadelphia, so i came out this morning, coat. i got out of the car, walking across the street and i said it's still cold in philadelphia. it's true. it is a true thingment it almost feels like you're in an ice skating arena. that's exactly where we are heading right now. there is an amazing ice skater. to make this more inspiration alice he's blind. he can't see.
7:45 am
he's from montgomery county. he just defies the odds and wows people on the ice. our photo journalist fill roar introduced us to this phenomenal figure skater. inside the philadelphia skating club n and humane society in arden, if i set on a circle, scott works on his routine. if i start like this and i can step like this. with the help of his skating coach michelle marvin, he skates around the ice ring with these. we use a lot of visual queues and a the look of examples. a lot of copying and mimicking when we're teaching skaters in the beginning and he doesn't have any of those queues. stoush is a blind skater. it's very hard for a person to understand what a blind person goes through. we have a lot of figure skating, but there's no book on how to
7:46 am
teach a blind person. he is training for the 2018 games in paris. he's the only blind skater in his group. it takes up a little while. you can't put up a picture and say do it. his love for skating started almost 50 years ago. you can't do this, you can't do that. it felt good. the first time i skated it felt good. it felt like i was home. it felt like there was a connection. stoush also works with long time friend and figure skating coach. >> take it in small steps. a lieutenant of time when the kids learn, they just go for it. you jump and see what happens. not with stoush. you have to take small steps and be very patience. patience is key for stoush's effect. i really complied on the ice. feel like i'm adding dimensions

7:49 am
it's on monday where we have some rain coming in. temperatures will be a little warmer that day, up to 67-degrees. the wind picks up in the afternoon. a chilly day on tuesday and wednesday. now, by thursday and friday, get a little warmer back into the mid to upper 60s. so not a bad looking week, just a cool weekend. at least it's dry for easter and that rain holds off until monday. > we need your help on this one, dave. >> i'll do what i can. why don't you set it up. this is a song that i bought. >> back when we had to pew albums. > it's from the 90s. of course we all know this. it makes you feel old. it's 20 years old today, this month and the song we're talking about is mm bop and according to the brothers we've been sinking it wrong all these years.
7:50 am
>> got it. we were recently talking about the in an interview with ultramagazine. the song -- no one ever sinks it right. their exact words, most people sync it wrong. the brothers did say they would like to hear bruno mars try to do a remake of the song. look at how cute they are. i love the hanson brothers. here are the actual lyrics. mmm bob, whenç duba top. i got that part. due bop, here comes the part me know. nailed it. all right. we're handing in cool cards.
