scene. . we're hearing there could be big changes on the way if you ride regional rail. septa is losing a third of its cars because what they shay is a significant structural defect. >> the general manager will talk about this later today t how it will affect riders. fox 29 dave kinchen is live with the details. >> reporter: good morning to you. big questions, no doubt this is a very difficult time for this disruption to take place here at 30th street station. a lot of people just getting the news we've been talking to here big technical issues for septa riders. 1/3rd of septa's regional rail fleet out of service for inspection. we're talking about the silver liner v line. septa says it's got a quote significant structural defect with all 120 of the silver liner regional rail cars and they're pulling them for inspection.

the exact problem is not yet clear. septa says this will in the adversely impact service and that the remaining fleet can pick up the weekend slack but the transportation authority says that thely silver liner vs will be off the tracks until further repairs can be made. as we come back live here, we can tell you that they don't time table has been given for the repairs. however, a 2:00 press conference has been set up at septa's center city head quarters to find out more. and how this will impact people. >> we'll look for updates later on. more bad news unfortunately for septa. an elderly man dead after being hit by septa bus. 71-year-old man was running to catch a route 15 bus on belmont and girard when he got caught on the tire and pulled under. the accident remains under investigation. a father and his 8-year-old son dead after a boating

accident in somer's point new jersey. it happened near the jennings gate marina. the jet skis collided with a boat. the 55-year-old driver of the boat suffered a wrist injury. new jersey state police and coast guard are investigating. 7:05, the so-called straw hat bandit strikes again. just after 10:00 yesterday morning, the straw hat bandit pulled a gun inside a p n c on wellch road and demanded cash. >> just hope everyone is ok and no one got injured. >> investigators say this is the 11th bank the man robbed in the last four years. he always wears a series of us. >>s local community is morning after a fire ripped through a

delaware county home killing a husband and wife yesterday morning barbara and ted were found dead inside their delaware county home. fire officials say flames took over the entire property in a matter of minutes. the couple was found just inside their front door lying at the bottom of the stairs. >> my belief is they got down to the father-in-law right inside the front doorway and got a long breath if you mean of super heated gas and smoke. at that point, were rendered unconscious and succeed came to the smoke. >> nobody could get them out. good people. >> people saying wonderful things about the couple. investigators still trying to determine the cause of the fire but believe it may have started in the backyard. . an abandoned warehouse goes up in flames in camden. call coming in around 6:00 last

night. took firefighters about half hour to get the flames under control. nobody hurt and no word on how the fire started. a pilot is lucky to be alive after had us plane crashed in as you say. when hoffman tried to make an emergency landing his plane flipped over on to its roof. amazingly he walked away with minor injuries. union workers at trump taj mahal are entering the third day on strike. local 54 members walked off the job friday after failing to reach a deal that brought back the health insurance and pension plans. former owners got a bankruptcy judge to cancel those benefits back in 2014. the strike is expected to hurt the casino bottom line during the 4th of july as of now, there are no talks scheduled to try to wrongful this resolve this strike.

like, re finances, what their perhaps risk is like. i think that's really important. but we've seen today, that people are starting to put convenience over connections. you see it with doctors and now i'm seeing it you with lawyers. i personal think that connections are very important. but there are circumstances with people who can't afford to have a lawyer that is their family lawyer, that perhaps can help them in certain instances. >> another thing you and i were on the same page on we were exchanging information behind the scenes, this company apparently promises they will get back to you in eight hours. i'm thinking, if i'm in trouble, any attorney bet get back to me within eight hours. >> absolutely agreeing with that. if i'm not returning a client's e-mail, phone call or whatever within two hours, i feel like i'm not doing my job. the fact that they get back in eight hours, i don't think that's that big of a deal. they also talk about the fact they won't use paralegals, i think they're fabulous and a

wonderful resources and also less expensive. if you're going to go with one of these programs, whether this or any of the others out there, you need to ask a lot of questions and make sure your money is well spent. >> is that taking advantage of the fact that people don't have that much legal knowledge to say no paralegals like that was some sort of positive thing. they're necessary. >> they're wonderful, like nurses to doctors, behind the scene people who are doing the majority of the work and they're so smart and knowledgeable. so i do think sometimes people don't understand the ins and outs of a legal process and i think to some degree it's taking advantage of that. it's helpful for people finding themselves in a lot of criminal and tick type of situations and they just don't have the resources to have somebody on retainer. are we giving this a thumbs down. >> sideways. depends on the situation but for the most part, i'd say no. >> thanks for breaking it down

performance come through the digital character. this character of the giant becomes friends with this young girl. she is sophie in this film. the 2 dis what you want to see. there's scenes in this film, the girl sophie walks on to his hand. it was basically a gigantic blue hands and it had cushions. it is so well-done and so well imagined. it reminded me of the feeling i had in et in regards to the imagination. john williams's music is fantastic. it is incredibly well-done, and i gave it a four out of five. i believe this is spielberg's best film along with a little

there is rain just age of millville. now, this area of rain mainly south jersey, cape may county, down through delaware and into southern delaware, there's sussex county, off and on rain throughout the morning, it will start to clear out later this afternoon. you see it breaking up a bit around baltimore and washington. this area will push off the coast. get a little break. certainly staying to the south, not moving north. can't say the same about tomorrow. we'll look at that later. 60's, low humidity, comfortable out there. clouds around this morning. the rain will eventually spread north. that area of rain moves out. maybe a little more sunshine this afternoon. that will push these temperatures up to about 80. nice and comfortable. another storm coming in tomorrow could applicant your 4th of july holiday here. we're starting at midnight. going throughout the morning. clouds begin to increase. the storm comes and tries to lift some of this rain up and it could start to develop around 2:00, then off and on rain between about 2:00 and 5:00,

sunset and the rain is moving in. could be heavy at times. we want to work around this tomorrow. keep ca close eye on the radar because close down a little bit you might get all those festivities in tomorrow night before that rain moves in. we'll definitely be heavy overnight and early tuesday, there's the storm responsible for bringing that in. south of the front there, where it's a little warmer, you can see a few thunderstorms, it could be strong or severe. we're in this risk for severe weather. marginal risk for storm prediction center. 77 showers are to the south. today, but tomorrow, especially late in the day, showers and thunderstorms temperatures up to 78 degrees. we're really climbing in the seven-day forecast. 83 to 86 there on tuesday. then we start a stretch of 90 degree temperatures there wednesday, thursday and friday. even saturday, above 90 degrees, that will come with high humidity, so we might be talking about excessive heat there in the seven-day forecast. maybe some relief down the shore where temperatures will be into the upper 80's.
