right? >> they want to shut down our camp. reporter: what happens, there's business on friction between mayor joey torres's office. in a statement torres released on friday. he said council wouldn't pass the third and fourth quarter tax levees, council is quoted as firing back saying they doubt the rec programs needed to be cut and the mayor is using the cut as leverage to get his way. she says they lost sight of the priority. >> we're not coming together for the kids. this is for the kids, and then wonder why the kids are going crazy. reporter: for the next few weeks, summertime life in patterson rolls forward as usual. >> swimming lessons, tomorrow, 9:00 a.m., swim lessons.
