12:34 am
>> yes. >> i'll take my chances with the deer because death by cougar sounds horrible. >> this is not asked story from the onion this is real. 200 deaths versus 30 deaths. >> cougars attacking people, as much as it happened before it's extremely rare. >> it's rare because we captured them and put them in dues or kill them. >> this is super gross. check out this green foam bubbling out of storm drains in utah. they are investigating the mysterious stuff but they believe it's a nearby canal connected to a river to utah lake which has some issues.
12:35 am
>> a new proposal to build a bridge over manhattan is so revolutionary that i hopped into a plane, took control of the gears and took to the sky to see what it would look like from thousands of feet in the air. >> absolute gorgeous i hopped into an in affinity plane. once we are in the air i had a sense of how majestic and bold this plan is. >> that's the empire state gateway with all the transportation challenges here new york it certainly is a solution that soars above it all literally. >> i caught up with scott spencer. he is the creator of empire state gateway. he said his plan would solve most of the transportation issues before authorities are dealing with right now. >> the proposed proposal is lanes but it doesn't really add capacity in penn station and it still over a hundred years old and very slow.
12:36 am
they don't solve the problem on the other side of penn station which is the east river tunnels. >> what this entails is twin suspension bridges and from there you soar above the hudson river, 212 feet in the air above 38th st. and westbound above 39th street in the opposite direction. this twin suspension bridge would go all the way into queens i asked how much it would cost and he set about $20 billion which is is the same amount being projected for the new tunnels under the hudson river. >> it would not need all the public funding from the state of new jersey and new york or the federal government because as much as 75% of it can be paid in user fees. >> there are four different generating levels to this plan. utility conduits for power, electric, telecommunications and then the second level would be only train. >> the hudson level is just one

12:38 am
>> they see nothing like this before. it's a compelling issue for the port authority is that it solves so many challenges with one project. this is absolutely positively the best idea i've heard of lately. anybody can come up with an idea and throat out there but he has an actual plan. >> you have to have capital to start building. this bridge would be for 100 or 200 years. were talking about transforming the state of new york city. >> if you couldn't get a seat you can still catch the show outside.

12:49 am
>> that's a mountain of garbage right there. that's going bad. were in brooklyn and there's a giant pile of trash right here in a public park. none of it sealed. there were open trashbags everywhere with rats. >> looking at this garbage, you don't understand how many could be inside of that. they come out eat there and go right back - it's like a buffet. >> yes, definitely a. >> we found one bag that is part of a program which is the company that makes these mint scented rodent repelling bags received $3 million from the city and what some say was a sweetheart deal after the owner donated money to a mayor diblasio charity. this one didn't work i think the
