boulevard and left vick. let's get out there jennifer joyce is live at the scene. >> reporter: a lot of mess left behind. witnesses tell us this water main break was discovered around 2:30 this morning, shooting out of a 12 inch rain at roosevelt boulevard and left vick streets. you can see there's a member of the water department on scene. we do know the water was shut off this morning, a mess of mud and cracked pavement was left behind. at least some people in the area are still without water, including a duncan donuts which sits close to where this happened. fortunately, they had a first badge of joe brewed for early bird customers. also got help from a neighboring duncan donuts this morning. >> at first, we had water, they shut it off around 5:00, 5:15. at that time, we had everything

made. and our boss got some boxes of joe for us. so we're set for maybe like 9:30. hopefully, it will come back on. i'm not sure what's going on. right now, we're doing all right. >> reporter: people can still get the morning coffee. we're expecting to see updates from the water department as the crews continue to work out here. at this point, we don't know the official cause or how soon the water will be turned back on, karen and bill >> hopefully they will figure it out. we appreciate it. new this morning, delaware state police are investigating a crash that's happened in newark. a fedex truck hit a car and flipped into the yard. this happened nears intersection of south baltimore pike and college avenue. right now, we don't have any information about any injuries or why that driver lost control. 7:05. this morning one person in the

hospital after being involved in a shoot, how the with police in bridgeton, troopers responded to a call at a home around 11:30 last night along centerton road. someone starting shooting at police, they returned fire. the suspect was hit and is currently being treated. no officers were hurt. a double shooting late last night along the 3800 block of wallace street in mantua leaves a man and a woman in the pity. police say a 25-year-old man was shot five times in the head and neck. he's in critical condition. the woman has a graze wound to her political and expected to be ok. both were taken to presbyterian medical center. investigators are looking for the shooter. five people injured when a pickup truck slammed through the doors of the magee rehab. it was a black truck but wow, went right through the doors, investigators say it happened about 8:15 last evening, police say there was a 38-year-old woman behind the wheel and crashed into the sliding doors.

inside, there were two men and three women who were injured, including the driver in that number. they were taken to hahnemann hospital. one man in serious condition and the others in stable. in a bizarre and unusual dangerous rescue for philadelphia first responders. man is found caught in a sewer in hunting park. crews say they don't know how he ended up in the 18 inch sewer pipe along 9th and west pike. but the cover for the hole was removed. one man says he saw the rescue happen. >> he got that part right there in front of that store and they pulled him up from this, this sewer hole right there >> this is as dangerous as it gets doing this kind of rescue work, that is is a challenging and difficult job. >> the man was taken to the hospital to be evaluated. this is 10-year-old little girl from north philadelphia now out of the hospital after hit in the arm by a stray bullet. police say she was shot on the 3100 block of rosewood street

after two men exchanged gunfire. thursday. she had just gotten out of the oh car with her grandmother and was crossing the street. s all of a sudden that begunu gunfire rang out. the little girl and her family obviously still in shock. >> they said they might have missed the inside of my arm, my skin got pushed the bullet out >> it's not ok, kids cannot be able to play outside. my daughter there was no reason for her to to be shot. >> there is no reason. as the little girl said the bullet is is that you will her arm. they have to wait for it to come out by itself. police have identified two men and are waiting on arrest warrants for them. still working to identify a third. the wells fargo center getting back to normal after hosting history as the crews were busy cleaning everything up. philadelphia said good-bye to the at the democratic national

clouds? they're rolling in from the western skyline. it's a sticky stormy scenario. i think at 11:00. you still have decent sunshine especially down along the beach front were you the by 1:00, it's 88 and showers and storms bubbling up especially from philadelphia points west then by 8:00, i believe everybody is getting into the storms. if you have a hot date tonight, you're going to want to consider indoor plans, the storm system doesn't look like much just now, as it pushes off towards the east, it interacts with the humidity. of there's enough of a kick in the atmosphere. 2:00, there's spotty in nature, widespread the further west you go from philadelphia. then as we progress through the afternoon, into the evening, look at that, it's just a wall of nastiness from the poconos down across reading, upper lehigh valley, shore points still dry. you get into the mix after 8:00, the earlier start time is the further west. the latter portion of the evening the further east.
