23 rich homes and 29 year old steven kearny. investigators believe they were shooting on another guy when there was that 0 year old girl there. she still has the bandages on her arm. she got caught in the cross fire. the bullet is still in her arm. they have to wait until the skin works it out. her family says thank god she's still alive. she's one of the kids out of all the kids that have been killed by gun violence. poor thing. at this time list are still looking for a motive behind the whole shooting. federal and state investigators were all across the area. we had stieve keeley out there, breaking news yesterday morning on good day. this is all locations connected to a union leader, razor all over the area, but it's still unclear exactly what they were looking for. >> dougherty works the international brotherhood of electrical workers local 98 and

has been a powerful political force in philadelphia. yesterday, both the fbi and the irs searched his home. the ibew training facility and a bar also owned by dougherty. philadelphia counsel and property taj, city hall and district office hers were also raided as part of this probe. there's nothing there. now, when asked an fbi spokesman provided few today tails saying only that the searches are part of an ongoing investigation. city officials say they should know tomorrow when they'll reopen philadelphia's criminal justice system. it remains closed. paul owens was inside an elevator car in the center when all of a sudden it went up and crashed through the ceiling and debris fell off and fell onto another car blow. he was critically injured. he's 50 years old. there he is.

connected to well known union leader john dougherty. what's not clear is exactly what they're looking for. joining us this morning is fox5 legal analyst, ken. good morning, ken. >>reporter: good morning. > maybe mismanagement of the union. what do you think they might be looking at right now. they have warrants in so many different locations. >> it was actually a coordinated raid so nine different places were raided. the commonality amongst all the razor were that it involved john dougherty. we really don't know karen what it is right now. i'm sure it has something to do with than ifs. all kinds of boxes were taken from the headquarters of the union. i think 100 boxes were actually taken. they actually had to pull up a truck to the headquarters and they loaded up all the boxes. a lot of tax records were taken, a loft internal financial records were taken. we don't know yet. the only people who do know what the charges were are john dougherty because he got the search want that sets out the

probable cause and the fbi himself. he did have a comment yesterday, stieve keeley has been out before. he is one of the most vetted men in the area. let's listen to what he had to say yesterday. the government has a job to do a job. i'm very comfortable where we are at right now. once we get this ugly scenario by everything will be fine. > what do you think? he's always in full possession. he's hugging his neighbors and he put out a facebook message telling everybody have a good weekend. what do you think there's going to happen next. >> they're going to search through the records and see if there is anything in there that would lead to criminal charges. you're right, in 2006 -- there were no charges filed at that time. you're he also right, karen, this is a beloved man. the neighbors, everybody in philadelphia loves john dougherty.

this is an interesting situation and we'll see what the fbi comes up with and whether any charges are actually filed. the union played a big part with getting together with the dnc so h that was certainly a big r part. let's talk about joan i mere lean oh. he served a lot of time in jail. didn't say a peep. had gotten out and then dave strat wiser caught up with him in the margate area. he was caught in a huge raid involving 50 mobsters. what did you think about that? >> interesting. he served 12 years in jail and now he's out and in trouble again. it looks like there was a pretty big arrest because mr. were 46 people arrested, supposedly a syndicate up and down the east coast. he played a part in the syndicate. he's going to have to answer for the charges. if he's charged again and convicted again he's going to serve a lot more time in prison. another big name in the

headlines starting on monday. we have our attorney general of pennsylvania, kathleen cane, her trial is going to begin. do we think that she's going to take the stand? what do we think about this case. >> it's kind of interesting. she's on trial for perjury, supposedly for percentaging herself in front of a grand jury. supposedly she leaked grand jury information. which is a no no. there's been lots of attempts to sidetrack this trial. there was a latest appeal that was denied. the trial is going to start on monday. jury selection will probably take about two days. we'll see what happens. normally defendants don't take the stand, but this has been an unusual case. who knows, we'll keep an eye on it and see what happens. ken, our legal analyst p. we'll be keeping you busy. > no rest for ken. we'll keep you going. scott, there's a lot of things going on.

bob talked about concerts in our area as we take a look out there right on the parkway. will the weather hold up? a lot of things going on today and tonight. >> that's certainly right. a lot of outdoor events, kind of gloomy, muggy. we have heat and humidity that will build. it looks like temperatures could approach the mid and upper 90s and also l we'll be dodging some scattered showers and thunderstorms. what you need to know on this saturday morning, it's a muggy start out there, by the afternoon those high heat index values timing a lot of showers and storms. some of those could be gusty, borderline severe. the main system still off to the west. early this morning some pockets of down pours in parts of south jersey, also down the shore. most of the activity down the shore moving away, but was we move into camden county, burling than to, some ocean county, some quick hitting down powers. we'll zoom in a little closer and you can see some of the activity move through the voorhees area. that has moved out to the

go overboard. there was about a dozen people injured as they fell into the gap between the audience and the stage. organizers stopped the concert. that's the fall in motion. at this time we don't know the extent of the injuries, but we do know several people went to the hospital. also, tragedy in in france, 13 people were killed and at least six injured as a fast moving fire rips through a bar during a birthday party. the fire broke out in the basement in the city of wall. it took more than 80 firefighters to battle the blaze. this comes as the country is on a maximum terror alert after two deadly attacks last month. atlantic city's trump taj mahal casino does plan to shutdown on september 10. we do have the date. the owner said he's going to be closing the casino which is losing millions of dollars every single month sometime after labor day. nearly 3,000, woulders will be losing their jobs during the shutdown that is on top when the
