airport no weather worries. low 70s and look at the wind direction north northwest at five. that's a drier wind drawing down some of those lower dew point temperatures and look at the relative humidity at 66%. yesterday afternoon and evening we saw pop-up showers and thunderstorms that activity has cleared the coast. looking at lot of sunshine as the cold front look it's about out to sea. sweeping out most the clouds and humidity. high pressure off to the north and west drawing down some of the north and western winds. so look at the temperatures in the poconos right now. yeah a little cool, 56 degrees. mid 60s pottstown. upper 60s right now in millvil millville. so that forecast in the poconos, 77 by this afternoon. 89 for the high temperature in philadelphia with lower humidity. we'll talk about the changes and that seven day forecast coming up but first let's take look at traffic. ♪ hey, good morning, everybody. happy sunday f you're looking for something to do witness kids today after church how about the second street festival from noon

there right now. we'll bring you a live report in just a matter of moments. in southwest philadelphia a man is dead for doing nothing more than stopping to get gas. police say two men came up from behind and shot a 36-year-old as he was filling up his motorcyc motorcycle. investigators say the shooting happened around 2:00 this morning at the bp gas station along the 6600 block of essington avenue. the vick testimony was pronounced dead on the scene. and police are still looking for the shooters. a 3384 old man dead after being shot multiple times this happened in north philadelphia about 9:00 o'clock last night right on the 1700 block of jefferson street. the man was struck in the head the chest and the arm pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital. investigators are still looking for the gunman. >> people most seriously hurt after the railing collapse at bbt pavilion concert are thankfully out of the hospital. promotors say upcoming concerts will go on as scheduled. last night's '90's concert

didn't go -- did go on without any problems. 42 people were hurt when a railing collapsed by performance by snoop bag and whiz khalifa. concert goers fell down feet down one on top of another. after the pavilion was check for damages the railings were replaced temporarily along with extra security. fans say that they trust that everything is now safe. >> at first i didn't want to come but i after they got everything secured, i mean it was good. i mean everything is fine. >> tonight's fifth harmony concert scheduled to perform even though initial reports indicate the force of the crowd caused the railing to collapse. live nation says they're working to determine the exact cause of that collapse. and septa adding more trains to its warminster and lansdale lines for the busy commute tomorrow morning. the added trains will run during morning and evening rush hours. septa also changed some times for trains running to manayunk

and trenton. the announce many comes after over 100 of its silver line cars were taken off the tracks due to a defect. if you need more information we've got it all up on our website. just go to fox 29.com. jury selection gets underway in montgomery county tomorrow in the criminal case against pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane. the state supreme court denied her request to take up her case. kane is accused of of leaking secret grand jury material and then lying about it under oath. she is not running for a second term. and we're still waiting to hear whether philadelphia's criminal justice center will be open on monday it's been closed since thursday when they had major elevator malfunction and a sheriffs depth pee was critically injury. authorities say that elevator shot up quickly, crashed through a concrete ceiling debris fell on another car below and injured somebody else all under investigation. officials say if you do need a protection from abuse order you can still go there they have the basement of the center open and they will be doing those kinds of services all throughout this weekend. a building fire in

pennsauken sends one firefighter to the hospital. that fire broke out yesterday afternoon on the 800 block of hilton road. according to officials paramedics took the firefighter to cooper university hospital with a possible broken ankle. crews got the fire under control in just under an hour. we've got no word yet on what caused the blaze. this is one of those stories that just makes you ask why? >> the search is on for the person who stole an exotic snake in east norriton. these are surveillance pictures let's take look at them from inside natural pet pet shop. police say yesterday afternoon someone stole a rare australian python. according to the store's owner the snake needs special care and likely won't survive much long longer. still no indication as to why they stole the snake. >> pretty clear pictures, thou though. if you know who that guy is tell him to turn the snake in. starting this wednesday the public will get a chance to take a look, rare opportunity to go inside the new mormon temple

miami. this is their attempt to do something about that. new federal regulations coming to the tobacco industry starting tomorrow the fda's tobacco product regulations will extend to include all e-cigarettes, cigars and hookahs. any and all sale of these products to minors will be prohibited. the fda says it doesn't expect this to impact adults the goal just to crack down on the number of kids who are using these products. >> we have huge public health problem with kids use of e-cigarettes, hookah and cigars. kids use of e cigarettes has gone up by over 900% in the last five years. more teenaged boys light up a cigar every day than light up a cigarette. >> there's reason for that because before this rule, there was no federal law prohibiting retailers from selling e-cigarettes, hookah, tobacco or cigars to people under the age of 18. so now they're changing that rule. this is kind of an understatement but philly sports fans we're known to be little bit passionate.

to think they're part of the entertainment at a sporting event. we've all seen them. look atomism look how clever i am heaping verbal abuse on the other players sometimes with crude comments. i admit sometimes it's funny. for about two minutes. then it gets old. and frankly, kind of sad. these guys get so little attention at home they need all eyes on them at the ballpark? in filledly in particular these guys seem to conclude themselves into thinking their the x factor that makes visiting players about coming here. jeremy admits there was guy in front of him sitting there with two little kids who asked him to stop witness language. he says did he immediately. but by then the ump was on his way over and we were soon to learn he was on his way out. here's a thought. come to the ballpark, stadium, the ring and scream and yell all you like. boo if you want. but keep the crude comments to yourself. believe me, all the fans around you, you're not nearly as clever as you think you are. only in philly. ♪

with all the sent many except it's not only in philly. let's not beat up on the philly sports fans. the national media does that enough. >> calling in the next radio show i didn't do it. it wasn't my fall. >> beautiful start to this morning right now. >> yeah, take live look at wilmington, delaware. i mean a lot of sunshine. lower humidity. we're looking at a nice day compared to yesterday. we saw temperatures topping out in the low 90s. feels like temperatures mid 90s. look at ultimate doppler. yesterday afternoon we saw those pop up showers and thunderstorms with that cold front that moved through. but all of that activity is out to sea. high pressure is building in off to the north and west. so if you're stepping out this morning for brunch or church, lower humidity and actually temperatures are a little cooler as well. look at the water vapor imagery this tells you the mid and upper level moisture. dry air with that gold black color across the region. the moisture well to the south with that frontal boundary so today a lot of sunshine.

♪ welcome back. take look right now at the philadelphia international airport where a flurry of activity going on down there. sunny and pretty nice. taking a look at our top stories this morning, police say an entire family of five is now dead after an apparent murder/suicide. the berks county district attorney john adams says the bodies of mark short and his wife meghan and their children leanna, mark and willow found yesterday afternoon inside their home on winding brook drive in sinking spring. investigators say all of them were shot to death. and sadly the violence continues. right now a man is in critical condition since being shot in the face during what could have been an attempted robbery. investigators say it happened around 4:00 a.m. near front and callowhill streets in old city. the man was rushed to hahnemann university hospital and officials are still searching for the shooter. the people that were most seriously hurt after that

clinic. we'll have jermaine jones tomorrow. we have doug overton on wednesday and then we actually have eddie alvar res light weight a* champion tendon we'll did a fun -- every day is a clinic. we'll have pep rally. we have vice squad dancers and about health and wellness virtua will bring their execs tiffs to talk about it. >> doug overton used to be a camp counselor when i was in camp. he used to take my lunch money. eddie alvar less i used to train with. >> wow. >> very inspirational stories coming in to guide the young people in the right path. >> absolutely. most of these guys came to this area. dougie went to lasalle. eddie from kensington really good inspirational stories and they want to give back and help these children. so that will be a big part of what we do with them. >> new facility we're all excited about that is coming to camden. you've been going there for while but is this part of kind of the expansion philadelphia camden jersey getting ready for that? >> it is. as you probably know we haven't had our own practice facility

before this is really exciting for the team. but, yes, we consider our home the whole basically delaware valley so this is a big part of what we do, and, you know, we've been doing clinics in camden for over 20 years. >> now, the flight squad will be there. >> i'm pulling out all the people. >> flight squad will be there. the dance team will be there. so it's a lot of fun. they'll get struck but a whole lot of events going on throughout the week. >> absolute. we have franklin our mascot, christian crosby who i think you are -- >> noel. >> he'll be out there as well. >> too late for anybody to get involved? i know you said 900. can people still participate? isn't people can still participate. >> the crock center they can reach out to the crock center and we'll get them in. >> i was reading here's the stuff that excites me. they get free sneakers. >> yes. nike partnered with us. >> gatorade, a jersey, they get a backpack that has gear, water bottle. we're really trying to make this all encompassing experience for them film can we talk about the team? >> we can't. >> talking about the event.

now, with that translates to it's pretty good. but it's not great. i use the word frustrating here as way to say i wanted this film to be fantastic. i wanted it to be amazing. the cast is great. and the concept is great. but it really never reaches that full level of greatness the trailer has given on the positive side jared leto as the joker is phenomenal. margo robbie is fantastic as harley quinn. will smith is fantastic as dead shot. viola davis might be the most evicharacter in the film. the music is great. it builds well. cinema to have gravy is fantastic. score by steven price is great. on the negative side the villain is not good. did not care for her villain the film has tonal issues back and forth never has true confidence what it wants to be that's reflective of the third act which really does not deliver. but there is a lot of greatness

involved and it is worth seeing. you look at guardians of the galaxy which could be a similar concept. that delivered on such a higher level. now, in the d.c. universe, you know, movies like batman versus superman a man of steal i loved the theatrical in man of steal. liked bat pan versus superman loved the extended cut this movie is not as good as mcu films like civil war, winter soldiers, avengers, apartment man or guardian. as bad as green lantern jonah hex fantastic four, no. not great film but it's worth seeing if you love the characters. the characters make it worth seeing. i gave the film a 3.5 out of five. that means see a matinee. i'm seeing it for third time this weekend. i saw it in 2d only. i have not seen the 3d or i max. and david ayel did shoot the movie on film one of those movies you walk out of and go it could have been so much better but it's not as bad as everyone else is saying it is. i gave 83-point poof out of five and i'm kevin mccarthy check out my unsensored interviews on fox5

just trying to get gas. police say two men came up behind him as he was pumping gas over there at the bp victim 36 years old. he was filling up a motorcycle. investigators say the shooting happened about 2:00 o'clock this morning. that's station over at 6600 block of essington avenue. the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. police are looking for the gunman. a 33-year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times in north philadelphia. police say it happened around 9:00 o'clock last night along the 1700 block of jefferson street. now they say that the man was hit in the head, the chest and the arm. he was pronounced dead a short time later in the hospital. investigators are still looking for that shooter. the people who are most seriously hurt when all all of a sudden that railing collapsed and they went over the edge and piled on top of each other at the pavilion over there in camden they're now out of the hospital. that's the good news. promotors say the upcoming concerts will be happening as schedule including the one that they did have last night. the '90's concert sealed to go

>> really unfamiliar role for the attorney general. jury direction gets underway in montgomery county tomorrow in the criminal case against kathleen kane. the state supreme court denied her request to take up her case. you'll know that kane is accused of leaking secret grand jury material and then lying about it while under oath. she's not running for second term in office. we're still waiting to hear whether philadelphia's criminal justice center will be open tomorrow. it's been closed since thursday when elevator malfunctioned and critically injured a sheriff's deputy. authorities say the elevator shot up quickly and then crashed through a concrete ceiling. the cause of the accident remains under investigation. officials say if you do need a protection from abuse order you can go to to the center's basement which will remain open they're trying to conduct as much as business as possible so that's where you go if you need that type of information. pretty bad fire in pennsauken. we know that one firefighter needed to go to the hospital.

found a missing girl alive but that's not the strangest part of the story. 16-year-old off and on in a jackson disappeared for two days during a hike in the grand national park she was about 20 other people when she says she needed a bathroom break. she took her bathroom break but she never came back. search teams, helicopters and specially trained dogs were called in. police then found her a couple days later and when they did, she had cut and died her hair. she was also wearing different clothes. police say she did try to run away from them when they first found her. >> she didn't want to be found. >> yeah. she didn't disappear. the first familiar until martha's vineyard for summer vacation. the president, first lady michelle, malia and sasha departed from the white house yesterday. they'll spend two weeks on the massachusetts island. the obamas have vacationed at martha's vineyard every year of president obama's time in office except during his re-election campaign in 2012. a little stressful now.

"good day philadelphia" weekend. taking a look outside all looks good. scott says it's a 10. we'll get to all the details on the weather coming up just a moment. but first, let's take look atonies this morning's top stories. police say a family five is dead after an apparent murder/suici murder/suicide. berks county district attorney john adams says the bodies of mark short, his wife meghan and their children leanna, mark and willow were found yesterday afternoon inside their home on winding brook drive in sinking spring. investigators say all of them were shot to death. and right now, a man is in critical condition since being shot in the face during what could have been an attempted robbery. investigators say it happened

all this week on fox news sund sunday. sounds good. we'll be looking forward to that. now plenty of sunshine this summer which is good news for sun flowers which fyi are all over my house right now. >> i didn't know that. well, did you know that they follow the sun quite literally they turn their heads around. it's this week's silly science. ♪ silliest thing in science this week has to be the dance of the sun flowers. if you love to watch them sprout up in your garden this time of year you probably know sun flowers are some of the most loyal sun worshipers on the planet. and researchers at the university of california at davis actually have studied the dance the towering plant does to follow the sun. yup. they actually studied their moves. their paper appears in the journal science and what they figure out, young sunflowers are actually more apt to get down than mature plants. those older, wiser, yellow blooms always face east.
