>> 173 days. >> about six months ago i told you the heartbreaking story, she was married to the love of her life, they had to the most pitiful daughters, bridget and allie. then, everything changed. a driver named scott sped into the new jersey turnpike at about 60 - 70 miles per hour under the influence of prescription drugs. plowed into the car that tim and bridget were in, killing them both. i spoke to pam just one day after the accident and the emotion was wrong. pam was was celebrating a win over cancer just prior to losing half of her family. >> i do not think anything could be harder than what the family went through the last two years. unfortunately there is something worse than that. >> pam and i have kept in touch. she is an amazing woman. six long months later i returned

back to her home in bayonne to see how she and her surviving daughter, allie have been doing since that day. >> we have our good days and bad days. at night it is extremely hard for me because it is very quiet. trying to keep busy, keep my daughter occupied and entertained throughout the summer has been a hard task. >> pam and her daughter are both attending counseling. she says they are doing the best they possibly can. i asked of allie, her allie, her surviving daughter as her source of her strength. >> a really think she has now. i have to to be strong for her. there are days when i do not want to get out of bed where i just want to sit home and cry and i cannot do that. >> widget would have actually graduated from pk in june. but the school wanted pam to attend the graduation for special reason. this was bridget's final join they put on a t-shirt for pam and her final signature is right here on the back. the most surprising part of pam
