angels is a volunteer group that raises money to help people who are recovering from heroin addiction. i was honored to be the co-chair and emcee at their walk of angels, their annual event to raise money this weekend. the most impactful part of it was walking through this remembrance tent where moms put pictures of the kids they have lost over the years to addiction. very, very moving event. of course at the end i did get the entire crowd to do it. >> as we all know, it's been all over national news. professional football players kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality and oppression of blacks, and now the controversial movement has caught wind here in camden at woodrow wilson high school. here's video of coach preston brown and several of his players kneeling during the national anthem before the homeowner on saturday. coach brown is no longer doing media interviews, but he did say this was a very personal matter.

he spoke with his players before the game about his decision and did not press any of them to do the same although the majority of the team did kneel with him, and this all comes after 49ers' quarterback colin kaepernick sat during the national anthem several weeks back. several nfl players have now done the same thing, and the camden city school district did release a statement. it says the district supports standing for the flag, but this is a personal issue, and we strongly support our students' experiences and exercising our first amendment rights. >> yeah. i wonder if that would have been their statement if he'd have assembled the team in prayer before the game happened. >> of all weekends, i just cannot fathom this. fifteen years ago americans died because they live by the values inside the national anthem, and he decides this is the weekend he's going to practice his first amendment rights? it's so insensitive and so out of touch. i wish he was sitting with me when i was in seventh grade and

and the new york parks department investigated, and they assessed the damage to the trees to be at $40,000. here's a statement that i got from the parks department. damaging trees is against new york city park rules, destroying the trees' protective layers, bark and inner skin can expose the sap. fungus, which can have harmful long-term effects including death. i tried to speak to michael. ever since he got this assessment of $40,000 in damages, this time he did not want to go on camera and sent me this statement. i have heard nothing from any government agencies. since there may be litigation pending, i think it inappropriate for me to further comment. when i spoke to michael before about the fliers, he said that he believes the neighbors were mad at him because they wanted to stifle his free speech and were upset that he was a trump supporter. i spoke to tia, who's a neighbor, and a board member of

[laughter] >> oh, it's hard to wrap your head around. go ahead, sibile. >> well, if you thought that diving with sharks was intense, divers are diving with sea lions. that is pretty intense. divers went underwater off north rock many canada to interact -- in canada to interact with a swarm of sea lions which are about 50-600 pounds. these massive animals look like they're being aggressive but actually they're just very curious. but they are trying to bite the divers. it looks like they're using them as chew toys. so this is probably not one of the things that's on my bucket list.

♪ ♪ >> alex, the bridgegate trial getting underway. bill baroni, bridget ann kelly, they're going to face the music. >> the bridgegate trial entering the first day of picking the jury which is going to be an important part of how this goes down. but the real news here coming from the lawyers for kelly and baroni who say both their clients will definitely be testifying on their own behalf when the trial starts. they couldn't make it much clearer, kelly's lawyer saying without a doubt bridget ann kelly will take the stand. the lawyer for bill baroni said plainly his client wants to clear his name. today very little went on in the actual jury selection. there are 253 people who have been called. tuesday the jurors will come back into the courtroom and be asked questions by both sides. now, this trial reinvolves

around the closure of the george washington bridge in september of 2013. allegedly as part of political retaliation. part of that political retaliation, the prosecution's going to try to demonstrate retaliation against people like jersey city mayor steven phillip. and governor christie's team lost a battle on that on friday as the judge ordered the personal e-mail of the governor to be searched. public records request by a newspaper who want to see the e-mails that christie might have been cc'd on. allegedly just part of that political payback culture that's going to be on trial here in knew work. >> alex, what kind of movement do the attorneys -- are they looking at this as a slam drunk? are they -- slam dunk? are they hinging at all into the tie-in with the governor? >> no lawyer ever thinks a trial is a slam dunk. they have their strong opinion about the real narrative of this case, and they're not playing it out in the media right now.
