this morning on good day, breaking news, a firefighter killed. several people hospitalized in an overnight fire in wilmington inside a live report in just minutes. plus another breaking story. at least four people killed in washington state after a gunman opened fire inside a shopping mall. this morning, the killer is still on the loose. philadelphia closing ten miles of streets, where motorists will want to avoid, where runners and cyclists will want to hang out and why they're doing it. from the fox 29 studio this is good day weekend. it is straight up 7:00 on this saturday. it is a gorgeous saturday. walk outside and you're like it's the first weekend of fall. good morning. >> finally feels like it. >> right on time

started around 3:00 a.m. on lake view road. let's get out to sabina kuriakose. she's live at the scene with the latest. sabina? . >> reporter: we want to say right now, this very preliminary information that we have but let me take you here to the scene. we're hearing reports that at least one firefighter march of sustained serious injuries and have been taken to the hospital. again, these are very, very initial reports. but as we take you to the scene here, you can see it is extremely solemn. we have a lot of firefighters, helmets in hand, the fire has been wrapped up a little bit earlier, the firefighters are still gathered. this was a row home fire. the call came in about 2:55. about 3:00 when firefighters rushed here to the fire inside of a resident inside a row home. i did speak with neighbors as they were walking around, they

told me they live across the street from where the fire happened. they themselves woken up by other neighbors. they told me they couldn't talk to me because they had to go and continue to be interviewed by the fire marshalls. again, it appears the investigation into exactly the cause and circumstances of this fire is underway. judging by that information, but again, this appears to be a row home here, as many as six people we're hearing may have been injured in the fire and taken to christiana hospital. stressing, of course, very -- very preliminary information. as we take you life back to the scene, you see it is extremely active. it appears this fire has been wrapped up. we have a lot of sold let me firefighters and officials out here hearing that one firefighter at least may have sustained very, very serious injury and perhaps another one may have been injured as well. along with several other civilians. worry waiting for information as

well as more information as soon as we have it. we'll bring it to you we have so much developing newsings also breaking in seattle washington, five people now dead after police say that man allegedly starting shooting in the match-up department of a macy's store. last evening about 8:30, cascade mall in burlington which is about 60 miles north of seattle. he's still on the loose armed with a hunting rival. this happened days after ten people were stopped at another mall, the one in minnesota. that suspect was killed by an off-duty police officer. . police have a new person of interest in the brutal murder of a woman in delaware county whose found with her throat slashed. investigators are looking for the man in this surveillance video in connection with the murder of 32-year-old natasha gibson. he is considered armed and dangerous. officers interviewed the victim's ex-boyfriend's now say he is no longer a person of interest. police say gibson died a violent

death killed outside her friend's home in yeadon earliest morning. camden man behind bars charged in last month's gang shoot-out that killed a little girl caught in the cross fire. 8-year-old gabby carter was fatally shot outside her home on the 900 block of south 8th street. us marshals have arrested with hasn't brown at his uncle's home and charged him with first-degree murder. both his mother and girlfriend had earlier been arrested and charged with obstructing the investigation. he was on radar from the gij. >> everyone in this city is related in some way, shap or form. seldom do things ker that we don't know what happened. it's a matter of putting the proof together. >> brown will be brought back to new jersey as soon as possible. he's one of several men responsible for that shoot-out that led to the little girl's death.

hunt is continuing for the others. 7:07. following the latest developments coming out of north carolina. a fourth night of protests in charlotte north carolina following the shooting death by police of an african-american man tuesday. the family of keith lamont scott released cell phone video of that incident. while the actual shooting isn't on the video you can clearly hear the wife saying he doesn't have a gun followed by several shots. >> he doesn't have a gun, heel going to do anything to you guys. did you shoot him? >> hurts your heart. the man's family says he was suffering, she said you could hear it in the video, tbi, it's a traumatic brain injury and assist he was carrying a book not a gun. police have dash cam and videos. they have not released those to the public, the police chief

says the videos will be released. >> i do believe the video should be released. question is on the timing. >> if i were to put it out indiscriminately and it doesn't give you good context, the can inflame the situation and make it worse. it will exacerbate the backlash. >> the north carolina state bureau of investigation is now reviewing this entire case and incident. 7:08. police have arrested man suspected of killing another man during a charlotte protest. authorities took 26-year-old ray qwan bore um into custody. car was killed over keith scott's in charlotte. a tulsa oklahoma is free on bond after prosecutors charged her with the shoes death of an unarmed black man. bet di shelby is facing first

degree manslaughter. prosecutors say it 42-year-old officer, quote, reacted routinely. an attorney for officer shelby says his client drew her gun instead of a stun gun because she thought terrance crutcher was armed. police say that he was not. the victim's family says they're set for funeral services for today. big endorsement a change of position from senator of former republican ted cruz. he says after months of consideration and prayer he decide he will vote for trump this notice. trump says he's honored to have cruz's backing. meanwhile, trump campaign schedule another last minute campaign stop. it's today in virginia. he's been struggling to get ahead of hillary clinton in that state. hillary clinton postponed a trip to charlotte. he was going to go to tomorrow but delayed that trip because the mayor asked the presidential candidates to not come.

with the help of an editor from pixar and sky walker sound in hopes of raising awareness for the story and preventing child abuse. joining us the survivor. lead investigator involved and that is george aldrin. good morning. >> thanks for coming in. looking at some of the video, touching moments, you know, and kind of moments people look back at home video and you look at they recollect those same moments for you were painful. >> that's the interesting thing. i got the 200 hours of home video and i decided i was going to tell the story because, you know, nine years of prosecution, three separate cases, i got a ton of help. not every survivor gets kind of help i got. if i go back and tell the story maybe i can help i erase the stigma and help kids in the

process. 80 percent of beautiful moments i didn't remember as child because they were overshadowed >> people want eventually to see the movie. give us an overview >> nine-year prosecution process, three different family members abused me. but i got incredible support. what we're doing here is we're going to hit the emotional, clinical and legal assets of child abuse to talk about what a survivor goes through, what the family is going through. what the legal obstacles are in promoting a case and protecting a child from secondary trauma through the prosecution process. ultimately, there is hope it's never too late to heal and no matter what trauma you've experienced with an open heart and with support from your loved ones and society, we can move forward in a positive way and experience healing. >> you're the lead investigator in this case. we hear about a will have the these cases. from an investigator standpoint, it's got to be really hard,

first for someone to step up. second to investigate the actual family that's doing this. >> again, this occurred back in the the 90's. reporting wasn't as pro found as it is now. and this came out and we started in '97. at least in 2006, he contacted me about two and a half years ago and wanted to reopen the case. i said are you sure you want to do this? i would like -- let's see what happens. so sashahad a few questions, it was hike reliving the case >> we talk about how hard it is to investigate and share the. this is the sixth most funded documentary ever on kick starter >> yes >> people clearly want this message to be shared. people are happy that you stepped up. >> that's the thing. when i started this project, i just -- i could feel it in my heart. continued to happen, already,

the stigma prevents an open conversation, survivors often time feel shame, it's one out of over four girls, one out of every six that are sexual abused before 18 be but this kick starter, six months back over 4,000 people gave us money. it's no one big check, it's mothers, fathers, survivors, law enforcements, psychiatrists that are saying, wow, this hasn't happen before. that's why sky walker sound reached out to us and said we want to be sound design for you. that's why we were able to get ken shreckman, we're getting an incredible crew behind us and an extremely reasonable rate because everybody realizes this has to be out there >> there's event taking place this evening, those are the details people are still invited to come down raising funds to get this film made. it's a story that needs to be told. in wrapping up, can you guys,

what's the message to people who are out there. who are watching, who may be afraid step to forward and address them? >> don't give up. i think it's important, a lot of times, when there's reports of sexual abuse, people don't see the final results. 20 years later, i don't know what happened to that individual. unfortunately a lot turned to drugs, alcohol, suicide. this young man is a perfect example. he stayed the course, had a lot of help and as you can see he's turning no something positive >> no matter what the trauma is, whether it's sexual abuse or something other, you're not alone. it's never too late to heal. and the more we talk about this, the more we come forward and express what pain it is that we're dealing with. the more we're going to be able to heal. >> thank you so much. we appreciate be it. we'll be right back. flush

in the wake of the recent shootings in bombings, new jersey homeland security officials issued recommendations for extra security at public events like ballgames, where they will be spectators, that includes high school games. they had tight security in place, spectators say they could feel the police and security detail for the friday night panther football.

♪ welcome back, it is the bottom of the hour, let's take a look at the top stories. multiple people have been taken to the hospital following a terrible fire. it happened in wilmington delaware. it just broke out about three hours ago. it's on 1900 block of lake view road. there was a firefighter who was seriously injured. we do have a crew there. we'll bring you another live report as more information becomes available. breaking from seattle washington. five people now dead after police say that person allegedly started shooting that the makeup department in the macy's story. it happened about 8:30 at the cascade mall in burlington, about 60 miles north of seattle. the shooter still on the loose with a hunting rival. this it happened ten days after ten people were stabbed at another mall in minnesota. he was killed by an off-duty police officer. seems hike we're always -- some people are always complaining about the weather. too hot, too cold.

delaware has sent several people to the hospital >> investigators say it broke out about 3:00 this morning, the scene is exactly at the 1900 block of lake view road. that's where sabina kuriakose is live with the latest. >> reporter: very sad news report. just a few minutes the fire chief confirmed to me that two firefighters from wilmington have died in this fire. again, the fire chief just confirmed that for me. just couple of seconds ago. we want to show you the scene right now here. you can still see firefighters out here gathered here. it is very, very heavy mood, very solumn. two firefighters have succumbed. it happened about 3:00 this morning, we're told as many as six people may have been injured in this fire.

that is still preliminary information. we're told the firefighters were inside of this row home when apparently, the first four major collapse into the basement level. and we're hearing that that is perhaps how those firefighters have seemed their severe injuries. we did speak with neighbors earlier who told us they woke up to this fire blazing. many of them ran out, with just blankets wrapped around them. it does appear this fire is now under control in the investigation is underway into the circumstances of it, and exactly what caused it and exactly what caused the injuries to the firefighters. again, we spoke with neighbors. spoke with a young girl who knows the family across the street. she tells me that it's a family. four that lives there. let's listen to what she told me a short time ago. >> i was going and my mom went upstairs. she opened the door and we saw all the firefighters out and in the house there was a lot of

smoke coming out. so we just rested here until the electricity went back on. >> electricity had gone out? >> yes. pretty sure everyone's went out. >> reporter: i can confirm to you that two firefighters from the wilmington fire department have been killed fighting this fire. we just spoke to the chief a short time ago. he tells me they're working to put out additional informationally he was so kind, you know, i honestly i had to chase him from the scene just to get information from him as he was leaving. i spotted him and he was -- couldn't have been more grateful when i was doing my job and asking him what had happened and he did confirm that it's a very sad day for the wilmington fire department. he's been out here, we have seen firefighters hugging, very solemn. two firefighters confirmed to have passed away.

her friend's home thursday morning. 8:05. after weeks, a camden man is behind bars charged in last month's gang shoot-out that killed a little girl who was caught in the court reporter. 8-year-old gabby carter was fatally shot outside her home on the 900 block of south 8th while ride herring bike. us marshalls in tennessee have arrested 18-year-old kiham brown at his uncle's and charged him with first-degree murder. his mother and girlfriend had earlier been arrested and charged with obstructing the investigation. brown was on the police radar from the beginning. >> we are a big little city. everyone in this city is related in some way, shape or form where they know each other. seldom do things occur that we don't know what happened. it's a matter of putting proofs together >> he'll be back as soon as possible and he's just one of several men responsible for the shoot-out that tragically led to

gabby's death. the hunt continues for the others. 8:07. there was another night of protests in north carolina following the shooting death by police of an african-american man on tuesday. the family of keith lamont scott released a cell phone video while the actual shooting is not on the video. you can clearly here the man's yelling that her husband doesn't have a gun while police are commanding that he put it down followed by several shots. >> he doesn't have a gun. he has a tbi, he's not going to do anything to you guys. (shots). >> did you shoot him? >> the man's family says he was suffering from a tbi, a traumatic brain injury and insist he was carrying a book, not a gun. police have dash cam and body cam video of the shooting. while they did let the victim's family look at those vice, they have not publicly released them. the local police chief said they will be released. >> i do believe the video should be released.

talked about it. a brawl between two ukrainian politicians. it's not funny. it's kind of ridiculous. it was broadcast on live tv. the two men began fighting moments after finishing an on air appearance. they fought in the studio. that wasn't enough. they took it outside where one of the men repeatedly kicked and then keyed the other man's car. police were called. the two men are members of opposing parties and one of the men has a little bit of a history. apparently he fought other politicians in the past. >> anger management is needed. >> i'm jen frederick and this is mom-o-log and my favorite chef will help the mom. >> we can help moms all across the country. >> i said to you, i got a problem. you say i can have some color >> everybody things that exercise going to give you this

let's go out to sabina kuriakose with an update. >> reporter: karen what we know officially so far from the fire chief is that two firefighters here in wilmington have been killed in the line of duty. we're also hearing that several other people have been injured. we do not know if they're firefighters or residents of the home, where this fire happened here at this scene. you can see the fire is out and it's under control early on but firefighters remain on the scene as well as investigator, it happened around 3:00 this morning, we're hearing that the first floor of this home may have been collapse i do not the basement as firefighters were inside battling this fire.
