broad street is shut down. crews closed broad between locust and walnut around 4:00 o'clock this morning and it will romaine closed until 8:00 o'clock tomorrow night. construction crews are putting up a tower crane. there are several other closures around center city today through tomorrow for a full list head to our website fox 29.com. the septa shuttle buses are no longer in service along the market frankford subway line. septa says, it's added more cars tots fleet after dozens were pulled out of service because of cracks in beams. transportation company saying it now has 21, six car trains available for service allowing for trips every five minutes. during those peak periods. it's been one week police are still searching for whoever is responsible for gunning down a beloved philadelphia active visit winnie harris. today a vigil planned in her hospital nor. sabina kuriakose is in west philadelphia with more on this story. good morning, sabina. >> reporter: good morning, lauren. we're standing outside of uc green non-profit where winnie

harris was the acting director, friends say she dedicated her live to planting trees and gardens throughout west philadelphia. they say it was her passion and she also took a special interest in employing the community's you'll. now friends say the 6584 old was well known and well liked. they're at a loss who would have murdered the active visit inside her own home last week. now police say harris was found with multiple gunshot wounds in her north holly street home last friday. authorities have made no arrests and they have no motive. today's vigil will be held in one of winnie's beloved gardens. those who know and loved her coming together to mourn the sudden and tragic loss of their friend. >> i don't understand why anybody would want to do such a thing to this lady. i mean, she was really loved by all. >> everyone knew her and everyone loved her, and it has been quite a shock. >> reporter: and as friends

come together to pay their last wee inspects to winnie harris, stale lost questions surrounding her tragic death. funeral will be held on monday at christ community church on chestnut street. now a $20,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest in this case. if you have any information, you're asked to call philadelphia police. lauren, back to you. >> sabina, thank you very much. one sad story to another. community will pay their final respects to lieutenant steven floyd who died in delaware state prison uprising last week. floyd and three other corrections staff were taken hostage during a standoff. they were not seriously harmed. second viewing will be held this morning followed by his funeral at noon. last night law enforcement agencies from across the region flocked to the university of delaware to pay respects to floyd. >> real nice guy. would do anything for you if you asked him and he's just a good person to be with. >> investigations into

lieutenant floyd's death are on going. he leaves behind wife 13 adult children. let's take look at the top stories this morning. an officer is recovering after witnesses say he was dragged by a car in west philadelphia of the witnesses say the officer had followed a jeep that took off from a crash scene. witnesses tell us when the officer approached the driver took off again throwing the officer to the ground near 57th and market. police confirm the officer was taken to presbyterian medical center with minor injuries and is expected to be released. a man is now in critical condition after being shot seven times. police say this happened around 3:00 o'clock this morning at his home along the 5700 block of north 19th street in southwest philadelphia. he's currently at einstein medical center. no word yet on any arrests. in south jersey, a man is dead after a police involved shooting in cumberland county. skyfox over the scene in bridgeton at north freemont and south of a yesterday afternoon. investigators say the man was running from police when one of the officers fired his gun.

i really want to tell my class about caleb's heart. >> right. >> okay. i started telling him. can you help me practice. so we started practicing, and i pull out the phone and started recording and then i thought it was so cute i had to share it with all my friends. >> right. >> what's been the response so far? >> great. it's been amazing. there's -- this is awareness week and it's really important we let everybody know about how serious this ch, can be un1% of every dollar that is donate to do children's charities goes to chc. chc is the number one killer of children under 18. >> of course, it hits close to home. >> it does. >> because of little caleb. how are you this morning? he's so cute. >> when you look at him you might not be able tell sort of tell us hess story and his struggle. what's happened? >> we found out when i was pregnant that caleb had a heart defect. he had four major defects, and

that was devastating. >> of course. >> for any mother to find out. we made the decision to have him at chop. chop has a special delivery unit, and it was the best decision. we thought we were going to be able to take him home, let him grow a little bit before he could have his open heart surgery, but, um, when he came out, he just -- he could not oxygenate his blood properly hadn't to have surgery immediately. >> that's scary for you. you just delivered a baby and now the baby has to have surgery. >> he was taken to different unit. i got up from the delivery table and i walked over to stand next to him and be by his side the entire time. he is our miracle baby, and we're all just so proud of him. so he was in the hospital. he recover in thee days. >> wow. >> they sent him home three days later. i was a nervous wreck as you can imagine coming home. i was a nervous wreck. but he -- he's just -- he's just awesome. >> tell me this. he has to have more surgeries. >> he does. the one side of his heart
