we are talking about eight degrees currently. that's the air temperature in the poconos. right now, it is 16 degrees in pottstown, 20 in atlantic city, and 23 in wildwood. yesterday morning at this time, we were looking at that snowfall across parts of the area, we had some of those snow squalls yesterday afternoon kind of reenforcing some of that colder air, dry and quiet for today. take a look at the expected high temperatures, upper 20's, that's it in the lehigh valley. low to mid 30's down the shore, right around 33 degrees in center city. so here's the bottom line for the weekend. forecast. we're talking temperatures today, and tomorrow, highs only in the thirsty for philadelphia. but feels like temperatures during the afternoon will be in the teens and 20's, so that's really how you need to dress. and then what about this? add insult to injury, we're talking about spring forward, you lose an hour of sleep for tonight as well and then

last night on the 2000 block of west huntingdon park avenue. apparently happened inside of a gold fish chinese restaurant. according to police, the teen was inside ordering food with a friend when the shooter walked in at some point word were exchanged between the two and the child was shot at poi point-blank range. at this point, no arrests have been made. officers spent the night combing the scene inside and and outside looking for evidence as police work to piece this brutal case together. and again, this victim just 13 remains here at temple hospital fighting for his life. lauren >> we wish him the best. in montgomery county a nasty crash sent four people to the hospital. this happened along black rock road in upper providence township. a blue car slammed head on into a tree. you can see the car pretty beat up there. this happened around 2:30 this morning, all four inside have been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

no word yet on what caused that accident. today, marks the eight years since the disappearance of a cape may man, john wise becker was last seen on this day in 2009 by a postal worker. family members reported him missing that evening. there's evidence of some sort of struggle at the home and did not leave by his own free will. he would have been 28 years old today. if you have any information, you're urged to call police. photel being targeted by claims it allows sex trafficking to happen inside its guest rooms. attorney tom kline filed a lawsuit on behalf of a teacher girl allegedly end slaved and forced into sex trafficking at the age of 14. that suit alleges the roosevelt inprovided rooms for human traffickers who exploited girls and regularly saw men enter the room where the teen was kept. first suit file using the pennsylvania human trafficking law which allows fors

much area-wide, by 6:00 feeling like 15, 11:00 tonight, single digits to teens across the area, so it will be cold. the cold air will be locked in place through early next week. then we could have moisture, so watching an area of low pressure, kind of move out of the great lakes and transfer its energy to the coast, that could set the stage for significant nor'easter that could bring accumulating snowfall across the area. still some ununcertainties about the timing, the track and also that amount of cold air, but here's one computer model painting quite a thumping of snow from philadelphia to new york to boston, so we'll have to watch that. once again, we're going to be fine-tuning this forecast over the next day or so, the storm intensity will be key. the track if it tracks inland, it could bring mild air from the ocean and cut off the rain snow line and also, where the banning of heavy snow sets up. we'll continue to minority this

drivers in one direction wait for the drivers in the other to cross. and that they go through. this process is repeated over and over again. and folks basically get where they're going to go with a minimum of delay. but this was in essence six-way intersection. and this was philadelphia. naturally, cars, trucks busses from all directions flooded into the middle of the intersection and sat there. staring at each other most likely honk at each other. almost certainly swearing at each other. complete breakdown of basic civility and common courtesy because there wasn't a little red or green light to tell us how to act. it was thunder dome out there. every driver for himself. so it went, for quite some time. all those vehicles facing off. grill to grill with nowhere to go. before long, the power was restored to the area, electric customers got juice back, schools reopened. as for the folks trapped in that

stranger. williams was convicted of killing 33-year-old vi at a, stabbed 47 times with an ice pick in the cottage she lived with her husband who taught farming. according to records williams quickly confessed. was arrested october 10th of 1930, executed less than a year later. but the great grandson of williams's attorney says he's uncovered evidence. williams was innocent, saying it proves the victim's husband was the killer. williams's sister in her late 80's just wants justice. >> there's no reason for him to die. that's a terrible thing, if it was your brother, what would you do? what would you want? >> fight for justice >> fight for justice. it's been going on too long the family were in court to fight to have the case expunged. joining us the man whose graduate grand father

representing him 80 years ago. and the attorney representing him now. this started with a childhood interest of yourself because of a family tie >> i first heard about the story from my grandmother. it was her father william h ridley. she told me about this case, it made great impression and as i grew up i continued to research it. i was able to get permission from the glen mills school to get access to the student's record and you know, investigated that. and through the bar association's help, i was able to connect with rob keller. and he's been invaluable. moving as a team >> hoping to get the case expunged. it's been a long time, 1931. >> that's right. so we had very limited options and so expungement seemed like our best bet. we're trying to erase and remove the criminal matter from the judicial system. so we're seeking, we addressed yesterday, had a little

impediments to that and we'll be back on april 6th. and moving forward. >> the likelihood of this happening in your opinion? >> it's a very unusual request that we're making to seek an expungement 86 years later. there is a section of the statute does permit expungementment three years after a person deceased. it's been use rarely used in pennsylvania but we're trying everything we can to bring this matter to the court and have sue si carter's plea to have her brother's matters addressed in court >> sam, you found evidence, we're going to talk about that that points to her husband as being the person responsible for killing her, not this teenager >> absolutely. through ancestry.com, i'm also a jeaniologist, i was able to connect with a relative. she tipped me off they had been divorced. weren't married at the time of the crime >> but living together >> living together and they had been divorced nine years and she had petitioned in 1921 for the

divorce on the grounds. extreme cruelty. i was able to obtain that record which the prosecution in 1931 would never have known about because that occurred in michigan. and i was also able to through ancestry.com find a copy of the death certificate which appears to have been altered, and as well as alexander mcclay williams who had been altered >> it was a 6 that was made into an 8 >> this was a 6-year-old boy put to death and it indicates he was 18 when he was 16. >> he confessed to the crime. are we thinking that was just pressure? >> there was a history that he had been flawed and beaten there, he had been incarcerated at glen mills over four years, and even admit in the transcript that they tricked him and had him confused, talking with him, of course, miranda warnings weren't in place, all

protections juveniles now have were not there and after a number of hours were able to secure this confession. >> it's going to be our next netflix movie? it's fascinating >> just just it's an old case, the reason the bar association got involved in supported us is they see implications for what's going on today. and so they see this as informative and kind of a cautionary as it comes to juvenile justice system, and to be careful how cases are prosecuted, how individuals are interviewed, this individual was interrogated five, six times without a parent or attorney present. >> wow. and rob, does this sort of give you hope as a lawyer, anyone can just sort of jump into the legal process and get involved and you never know what can happen. >> i just think it's important to bring this to the public's attention. this was a dark matter in delaware county and i just think it's so relevant and important

>> jim joins us to share more of his story. jim tell me your story briefly. in the beginning, when you first learned about infertility. how did you handle it? it's depressing, lonely sad. from a male perspective, how did you handle it >> i didn't handle it well. my initial rack, men and women grief differently. but my initial reaction was anger. why is this happening? you know, why can't we get pregnant? i blamed the doctor. things like that. >> and did the anger fuel the frustration in the situation? did it make it worse? >> no. i think, what i learned is through this process, is that you have to grief in your own way. and allow yourself to feel those emotions but then let them go. >> do you think there's a struggle sometimes with men because you guys are always so tough. you have to carry the load and

the weight. do men sort of put that grief off to the side and don't handle it appropriately >> for sure. i think that's absolutely true, and that, my grief plan fested as anger. which maybe isn't healthy. again, i think you have to allow yours to feel whatever you're feeling and let it go and try to rechannel that into more positive energy >> you did that. before you did that, you also had two fur babies and you lost both of them >> yes, it was awful timing. he were lost them right around the time that we had an ectopic pregnancy. it was a heartbreaking thing we have to do. and soon after that we lost our boxer brady and ducy. they were instrumental in helping us cope >> what did you do >> we didn't do anything. another boxer and another black cat found us. >> really? >> yes. friend of a friend of a friend

found this boxer and you just -- he found us. that's what we tell people. >> that helped, of course, tremendously, yes, they're great, we're animal people. so, and again, they're very instrumental in enhancing our lives. >> so your anger sort of manifested itself after you got over that grief into writing and that helped you a lot. >> yes. it did. it's -- the book was based on inspired by that experience. those few months, challenging months. >> how was that for you >> good, helpful. it helped me cope. it was -- it -- represents the idea that our love ones come back to us. and that's kind of something i believe strongly in that our energy and if you can't

extinguish that it comes back to you in different forms. >> i love it. tell me quickly for tips for husbands who might be walking in your shoes or experiencing the same journey with you. infertility or loss of pregnancy and that type of thing, what's your best advice for them? >> my best advice is to recognize that your wife is grieving differently than you are, because it's just a fact. women experience this kind of loss more intimately than a man. women grief differently. allow your wife to grief in the manner she griefs, open communication is key. timing is important at the appropriate time. and finally, i would suggest something, getting out of your own head, which means doing something physical. for me i've been doing juditzu. when i have a guy 40 pounds on my trying to choke me, i'm in

33 center city for the high down the shore, mid 30's, cold and breezy upper 20's, that's about it in the lehigh valley. a bitterly cold air mass right now. we're talking ten in the poconos, 19 in the lehigh valley, and trenton, 23 degrees, that's it right now in atlantic city. but you factor in that wind, the windchill, take a look at this, it feels like six in allentown, feels like seven in wrightstown and eight right now in philadelphia. running errands headed to the flower show to maybe think spring thoughts? we're talking a cold start out there, 24 degrees at 9:00, 33 the afternoon high temperature. tomorrow, the st. patrick's day parade bundle up. temperatures will be 29 at the start of the parade but it if feel around colder. we're talking about the colder air locked in place. next week looks like a trough will kind of dig energy will transfer toward the coast.
