one. there has been a lot more rain and sleet and had been expected. but governor cuomo help you prepare for the worst. >> we are redeploying assets from new york city and long island to central new york and the southern tier. >> governor cuomo says that he plans restore services on metro-north and also bus service by thomas tomorrow's commute. we will have to see if that happens. >> are equaled? >> yes, i am so cold and i think i'm going to blow over. could turn into a solid sheet of ice tomorrow morning. but i expect we will see school closings and delays in the morning commute could be pretty treacherous as well. far north jersey we saw snow totals over 18 inches with 4-foot drifts. how about that? >> what about 18 millimeters? [laughter] >> what about the flooding and the after effects? >> typically been wasters cause minor to moderate coastal flooding. we expect road closures and a little bit of water. but the people that live here, you know what it looks like because it's pretty typical. the top wind gusts from the storm 65 miles per hour at seaside heights. >> i was grateful that all of the meteorologist erred on the side of caution. when i was driving into work i was fishtailing. i was thinking what if i were to spin out reign thank goodness

nobody was on the road because somebody could have gotten hurt. >> thank you, dan. >> you got it. >> coming to the studio they said he would be warm. but they lied to me. because i'm obviously not in the studio. i am in front of the statehouse in front of the capital, trenton, new jersey and a state of emergency is in effect. nobody is work in there and nobody is also working on the building. you can see a bunch of the windows renovating this place. governor chris christie isn't in trenton, but what goes on here? >> the buses are not running, the trains are not running. [laughter] >> take a look at this dramatic rescue from california after a car plunged into an estuary. the man remains in unknown condition. the real person that thought is was the hotel security guard at there founded in and jumped into action for the responders get there. he was able to get the man out quickly. but we don't know how he is.

i asked her. i said you actually put your baby in here. i saw for myself that the baby loved being in the box. >> he's like hey, i'm in the box again. >> it is promoting safety practices with the baby sleeping on his or her back with firm services and no pillows or blankets, which the expeperts ty can reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome. >> for me it really hits home. she lost her cousin when she was younger and also a girlfriend of hers just this past new year's day lost her little girl, trinity. >> she still talks about it like it was yesterday. >> the doctors say that the safest way for baby to sleep is on their back. they tell the parents don't put bedding or toys in the baby's crib because that could actually lead to the baby choking or suffocating on its way.

if you would like to get a baby box, it is pretty simple. i took a 15 minute online course and it is at baby box university.com. it is free. she showed me that it's great, you can pick it up and move it. she can move her baby box all around. they actually give you some pretty cool stuff for inside the pouch as well. >> the greatest part of this is that low income neighborhoods and things of that nature, the reason the people sleep next to their babies is because maybe they can order a crib or a bassinet. the only comparable spot is right next to where they feel safe. portable when you have your baby sleeping. you can move your baby and i think it would be pretty helpful. >> i get it, people can't afford a bassinet or the crib. but i don't know if that is necessarily the case. in other words, is it that they cannot afford a proper place for the kid to go? or do they want to reign to me

it sounds like education is a much bigger problem. sometimes we have solutions. but are we addressing that? that decision and stupid decisions are not a function of money. >> i think that it is insane to put a baby in a box. you put toys in a box. especially if you don't want the next generation to think inside the box. you want them to think outside of the box or in a psychologically it is the worst choice. >> new york city. it's probably something you don't want to mess with. unless you are a guardian angel. you have seen them before, you often find them trolling the subway and keeping the streets safe. only this time they are armed with cash. ♪ ♪ >> i met up with nancy in sunset

>> that video that you see right there of a grumpy old woman is michael weitzman who has been to six psychiatric hospitals. he dresses up as mrs. staying alive to raise awareness about mental health. it's a cross between patch adams and mrs. doubtfire. >> i always love robin williams. i thought that he could've been the best spokesman for mental illnesses. it all had to do with get well. >> he's taken opportunities to speak out against the stigma of mental illness. >> passion is what i have. the profession comes from life experiences and how many are suffering for many years with a mental illness. >> is a part of a three amigos of mental health presentation. >> the three amigos of mental health is basically a person that is suffering with mental health conditions, someone that is suffering in silence with

their mental health condition, or somebody that is not suffering at all. you are one of three. >> i met up with him at this suburban diner and on the table he put out this. >> this is some of the medicine that i was taking in the past and basically it is a triangle which is meds, psychiatry, and this is what i call the triangle, this is how people rate your mental health condition. this is about education awareness. >> the gloves are serious? >> yes, the gloves were a situation many years ago, generate second, 2008, i'm not going to tell you how or what i did, but i use them in a way to try to take my life. i don't cover things up with my humor which a lot of comedians do.
