exit. the car was flipped on its side. police say that everyone involved in the accident surprisingly and thankfully all non-life threatening injuries. and at 8:05 a developing story out of center city philadelphia, chaos once again at a subway station. a group of teens, you're seeing it, they get into an all-out brawl. police are looking for the public's help to catch the suspects. fox5's brad satin, he has more. >>reporter: a chaotic scene after school thursday that septa's police chief says happens far too often. i have toll you this is becoming a daily event, you know, throughout the city either street corners or outside syste. from center city to northeast philadelphia septa passengers say they often don't feel safe when high school and middle schoolers are on board. when they get out of school all the cursing, fighting, smoking on the bus, sitting every where. i have a four year old son so

after school hours when i get home from school that's what i have to deal with this. melee started thursday as an icy snowball fight outside that escalated down into the subway's mezzanine into a brutal attack of students who attend the nearby string theory school. the fights are sometimes planned, sometimes spontaneous and usually last just a minute or two with most scattering before police arrive. i see a couple of cars of police come over and check and it comes out with a little boy asking them some questions. and then after that they let them go. the kids from different areas of the city are headed to the center city and they're mingling or purposefully meeting to fight with kids from other schools. > in thursday's fight recorded by several people more than 50 students looked on as half a dozen or so students attacked others. police now looking to make arrests and have this advice for parents who say their kids aren't the trouble makers. your child isn't the person that is most likely to assault

someone have them come home so they're not the one that is going to be assaulted. > unbelievable. and they're facing aggravated assault charges. something that they thought was funny could land them in jail. the battle between new jersey and atlantic city sins. and first responders are protecting the state's plan to slash public safety resources. police officers and firefighters took to both the boardwalk and city hall in atlantic city to speak out against proposed cuts. new jersey wants to layoff 100 firefighters and 4 police officers as part of the state's plan to take over atlantic city's finances law enforcement officials say these cuts will make the city less save for everyone. among those who spoke out, officer josh fidel who was shot in the head in the line of duty in september. we all took an oath to protect citizens of the state. who would have had thought we have to protect the citizens from the state. we're not going to be able to put out fires. we're noting whying to get there

longer than those who don't. it's all about having those kids. we all know kids are spending lots of time watching television and being on ipads and on the computer and all of that, a new study found that if those kids are doing this for more than three hours a day they increase their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. they gain weight and they get something called insulin resistance. you want to make sure, especially your boys, don't do too much screen time. new research indicates that kids are using less drugs and even using less alcohol than ever before. now, some people think that the education is getting to them finally, but it may be their smart phones. smart phones may actually stimulate dopamine in the brain and they act like a drug. make sure they're not doing it while they're driving. i'm dr. mike, have a great day.
