lauren. police are still at the scene and we're standing here in eighth and arch streets which is not an area where we typically see this type of violence. police tell us the shooting happened around 2:30 this morning as the nightclub on the block called the rei verve lounge was letting out. police say they counted roughly 20 gunshots. one man in his 20s or early 30s was hit and killed. the shooting apparently stemmed from a fight in the club that spilled out into the streets. the victim involvement in the fight is unclear. police say it's also unclear whether or not the victim was armed and if he fired any shots. police say when they got to the scene the fight was still going on as the victim was lying on the ground and soon there after pronounced at the scene. >> when officers arrived, there was a large fight going while the man was suffering from gunshot wound. several officersespond. not only handle the crime scene but also break up the were trand to homicide. white van was leaving northbound along on eighth

cape may at 73 degrees. camden coming in at 75. but here's a look temperatures anywhere from the mid to upper 70s but those dew points following in right behind it at 73. so any time we see dew points in the 70s, it's going to feel muggy out there because all that moisture we were dealing with some patchy fog in pottstown and in trenton. it's getting a little bit better now that the sun is starting to come up. we will see a good amount of sunshine. can't rule out a shower you can't rule out isolated thunderstorm through the afternoon. but all in all, this does look like a nicer forecast than what we were dealing with yesterday with all of those downpours. today much more isolated activity. partly cloudy conditions temperatures into the mid to upper 80s. 88 degrees in philadelphia. 88 is your high today in wilmington. but you have to factor in that humidity. it's going to feel more like the mid 90s. a day to stay well hydrated for all of those outdoor activities and then as we head into monday we're talking severe weather. i've got the full forecast coming up in just bit.

>> all right. monica, thanks so much. 8:02 this morning. overnight shooting in chinatown leaves one man dead and investigators searching for clues. jennifer joyce joins us live from police headquarters with the latest on the investigation. hi jenny. >> reporter: good morning, lauren. right now we know that several witnesses are inside police headquarters talking with homicide detectives as they continue to investigate this early morning shooting. typically we don't see this type of violence at seventh arf streets. that's where the shooting happened around 2:30am as a nightclub on the block called the reserve lounge was letting out according to police who say they counseled roughly 20 gunshots that were fired. was hit and killed. the shooting apparently stemmed from a fight in the club that spilled out on to the streets. the victims involvement in the fight is unclear. police say it's also unclear whether or not the victim was armed and if he fired any shots. police say when they got to the scene, the fight was still going on. the victim was lying on the ground and soon thereafter

pr dead. >> when officers arrived, there was a large fight still while this man was suffering from gunshot wound. several officers were that to handle crime scene and also break up the fight. some witnesses were transported to homicide. white van was seen leaving northbound the wrong way on eighth street with the possible offenders. >> reporter: so that's about the only descriptionha involved. they took off in white van going the wrong way up eighthow talking with witnesses. they are also relying on surveillance cameras in that area when we were over at the scene which is only one block away from police headquarters we saw multiple cameras so they'll be going through that and hoping to find some additional clues in this case. lauren? >> jenny joyce, thank you so much for the update. also b 24-year-old man shot in the leg earlier at sixth and west cumberland police found multiple guns and she will casings at the

scene there are no suspects at this time. the victim was transported to temple hospital and remains in stable condition. now to developing story out of c dead. nine others hurt after a bomb exploded inside busy mall in the capitol city. the mayor calling eight quote cowardly terrorist bombingetls e newsroom we will of course bring them to you. seven u.s. navy sailors bodies were discoveredhe ship ca container ship early saturday morning off. most of the ship's 300 man crew was asleep whenaptain said theyd to keep the boat a float. the japanese coa iident as case of possible professional ne to imagine what this crew has had to endure. but i'mroud of their courage and dedication. the sailors names will be released after next of kin has been notified. the pentagon says 7us soldiers were hurt by afghan soldier this week. officials say it's the latest in

a series of green on blue attacks. that's when an afghan policeman or soldier fires on coalition forces. this comes as the trump administration is considering deploying as many as 4,000 more troops to afghanistan. and protest continues in london people demand justice for those killed in that deadly apartment fire earlier this week. officials are now saying about 58 people are still missing and presumed dead. many say they're outraged over how the government handled the disaster and they're demanding answers as to how it happened in the first place. now to our top stories. closer to home, 52 hours and six days of deliberating and a hung jury and a mistrial in the case against bill cosby at least for now. the comedian left the montgomery county courthouse with without the jury reaching a verdict yesterday because jurors told the judge they were hopelessly deadlocked. the judge declared a mistrial. prosecutors disappointed say they're not giving up. meanwhile those who believe the comedian is in the wrong say while they're disappointed,

there was no verdict, they remain encouraged because the district attorney promises to retry the case. jennifer joyce reports. >> reporter: another day another circus of activity outside of the montgomery county courthouse. supporters chanting members of the media swarming. anyone who exits the building accusers, a attorneys and bill cosby himself after the judge granted a mistrial in the case. day 11 the final day of the cosby trial has been no different than any other day except the added element of pouring rain and after 52 hours of jury deliberations, an end to it all. >> we can never underestimate the blinding power of celebrity. but justice will come. >> reporter: attorney gloria allred who represents several accusers says she's happy to hear that da kevin steele

announced plans to retry the case. >> it's too early to celebrate, mr. cosby. round two may be just around the corner. >> reporter: accuser linda kirk patrick applauded the jury for its dedication and says regardless of a mistrial, this case and all of its publicity will make a difference in the future handling of sexual assault cases. >> he thought he could bury us. he didn't know we were seeds. we are sprouting up. we are looking for reform uncovering the rape culture in this country. >> reporter: far different outlook cosby supporters with signs and t shirts calling this a victory for the comedian. >> i told bill cosby last week that he was going to win this. >> reporter: today like other days this week, we her the constant clicking of photographer's cameras and watched as journalists from all over the world scurried for a font row spot at podiums and along the barricades where today bill cosby walk out smiling.

allegations and the evidence against him, but this larger perception this larger issue that the public has been dealing with of people of power abusing that power. we just had congressman fattah convicted of very very similar crimes, and so, you know, people in this community might be thinking didn't we just have this trial? >> right. >> it seems like it. >> very similar. >> with the bill cosby trial ending yesterday and we were all hanging on the edge of our seats to fine out what the verdict was going to be in that one. >> yes. in there was a mistrial arc hung jury. it makes wonder how you can get in jurors. what are do they look for when the lawyers are trying to seat the jury tomorrow for seth to n mind, in jury selection, you're to the really looking for jurs jurors. you can't pick -- jury selection is almost -- it's a contradiction in terms you don't get to select your jury. >> correct. >> what you get to do is you get to assess the person, see if there are any potential biases

and strike or take off those jurors who are most concerning to you. >> to keep them from being -- >> in this case the defense is really looking for those juror that is have become tired and dissolutioned with politics, with the abuse of power that has it seems to be so, um, prevalent in our society. >> i gotcha. talk to me about the pro police, enemies theme that could come up in this trial. >> right. so seth williams was -- he was authority. he was supposed to be a protector of the community as the district attorney. and i think some of the issues that he's facing is that specifically with mr. ali one of the allegations he let mr. alibi pass full security when he was traveling internationally. that's a contradiction of what his role is as a protector of the community. and so where folks who typically

may have officially been supportive of the police supportive of him when he was the prosecutor, when he was the da might actually feel as though they were deceased or that he wasn't who he said he was. kind of very similar what i was saying about the bill cosby issue, where he was america's dad putting forth these values of family, putting forth these values of strong women, which is in direct contradiction of what he's being accused of. good i gotcha. talk to me about this. does it play a role when you're thinking about the psychology of the jury, when you're thinking seth williams now won't have his job, his home is on the mark, his family has fallen apart with his divorce. does that kind of play on the heart strings of the jury at some points or do you think they can really listen to the evidence being presented in the case? >> i think they absolutely can listen to the evidence being presented in the case, and just like a conviction, those sorts of things they may see, that's
