lauren. police are still at the scene and we're standing here in eighth and arch streets which is not an area where we typically see this type of violence. police tell us the shooting happened around 2:30 this morning as the nightclub on the block called the rei verve lounge was letting out. police say they counted roughly 20 gunshots. one man in his 20s or early 30s was hit and killed. the shooting apparently stemmed from a fight in the club that spilled out into the streets. the victim involvement in the fight is unclear. police say it's also unclear whether or not the victim was armed and if he fired any shots. police say when they got to the scene the fight was still going on as the victim was lying on the ground and soon there after pronounced at the scene. >> when officers arrived, there was a large fight going while the man was suffering from gunshot wound. several officersespond. not only handle the crime scene but also break up the were trand to homicide. white van was leaving northbound along on eighth

cape may at 73 degrees. camden coming in at 75. but here's a look temperatures anywhere from the mid to upper 70s but those dew points following in right behind it at 73. so any time we see dew points in the 70s, it's going to feel muggy out there because all that moisture we were dealing with some patchy fog in pottstown and in trenton. it's getting a little bit better now that the sun is starting to come up. we will see a good amount of sunshine. can't rule out a shower you can't rule out isolated thunderstorm through the afternoon. but all in all, this does look like a nicer forecast than what we were dealing with yesterday with all of those downpours. today much more isolated activity. partly cloudy conditions temperatures into the mid to upper 80s. 88 degrees in philadelphia. 88 is your high today in wilmington. but you have to factor in that humidity. it's going to feel more like the mid 90s. a day to stay well hydrated for all of those outdoor activities and then as we head into monday we're talking severe weather. i've got the full forecast coming up in just bit.

>> all right. monica, thanks so much. 8:02 this morning. overnight shooting in chinatown leaves one man dead and investigators searching for clues. jennifer joyce joins us live from police headquarters with the latest on the investigation. hi jenny. >> reporter: good morning, lauren. right now we know that several witnesses are inside police headquarters talking with homicide detectives as they continue to investigate this early morning shooting. typically we don't see this type of violence at seventh arf streets. that's where the shooting happened around 2:30am as a nightclub on the block called the reserve lounge was letting out according to police who say they counseled roughly 20 gunshots that were fired. was hit and killed. the shooting apparently stemmed from a fight in the club that spilled out on to the streets. the victims involvement in the fight is unclear. police say it's also unclear whether or not the victim was armed and if he fired any shots. police say when they got to the scene, the fight was still going on. the victim was lying on the ground and soon thereafter

allegations and the evidence against him, but this larger perception this larger issue that the public has been dealing with of people of power abusing that power. we just had congressman fattah convicted of very very similar crimes, and so, you know, people in this community might be thinking didn't we just have this trial? >> right. >> it seems like it. >> very similar. >> with the bill cosby trial ending yesterday and we were all hanging on the edge of our seats to fine out what the verdict was going to be in that one. >> yes. in there was a mistrial arc hung jury. it makes wonder how you can get in jurors. what are do they look for when the lawyers are trying to seat the jury tomorrow for seth to n mind, in jury selection, you're to the really looking for jurs jurors. you can't pick -- jury selection is almost -- it's a contradiction in terms you don't get to select your jury. >> correct. >> what you get to do is you get to assess the person, see if there are any potential biases

and strike or take off those jurors who are most concerning to you. >> to keep them from being -- >> in this case the defense is really looking for those juror that is have become tired and dissolutioned with politics, with the abuse of power that has it seems to be so, um, prevalent in our society. >> i gotcha. talk to me about the pro police, enemies theme that could come up in this trial. >> right. so seth williams was -- he was authority. he was supposed to be a protector of the community as the district attorney. and i think some of the issues that he's facing is that specifically with mr. ali one of the allegations he let mr. alibi pass full security when he was traveling internationally. that's a contradiction of what his role is as a protector of the community. and so where folks who typically

may have officially been supportive of the police supportive of him when he was the prosecutor, when he was the da might actually feel as though they were deceased or that he wasn't who he said he was. kind of very similar what i was saying about the bill cosby issue, where he was america's dad putting forth these values of family, putting forth these values of strong women, which is in direct contradiction of what he's being accused of. good i gotcha. talk to me about this. does it play a role when you're thinking about the psychology of the jury, when you're thinking seth williams now won't have his job, his home is on the mark, his family has fallen apart with his divorce. does that kind of play on the heart strings of the jury at some points or do you think they can really listen to the evidence being presented in the case? >> i think they absolutely can listen to the evidence being presented in the case, and just like a conviction, those sorts of things they may see, that's
