lower forge, 7:09 and mount 7:15 and as we watch this activity moving fly glouster and camden county. we'll have much more coming up and camden county. we'll have much more coming up after this. >> "good day", everyone, saturday, june 24, 2017 keeping an eye on twitter and lots going on in the weather department outside. i walked into the building this morning and the sky opened up. scott williams keep egg an eye on radar. we're under a tornado warning, right, scott. >> parts of south jersey under watch here and also that warning. as we move towards philadelphia a moderate to heavy rainfall. and take a look that area we were watching that tornado warning looks like it was allowed to expire at the 7:00 mark. that's what that morning was until. that is good news. but nonetheless we're looking at a lot of heavy rainfall that continues to move from

west to east. out of southeastern pennsylvania and into sections of south jersey. so take a look at glassboro area. william town, waterford, tabernacle, heavy rainfall moving east 45 miles an hour. and it's on your radar. valley forge, 7:09, mount, 7:15. rainfall rates anywhere from 1 to say 2" per hour as all of this activity just kind of moves east at about 45 miles an hour. we have seen a lot of heavy rainfall in those norm and west suburbs here early on this saturday morning and now we're continuing to watch this move off. to the east at about 45 miles per hour and back edge you can see places like berks county and also moving towards the lehigh valley, poconos, you are drying out. we're still looking at a lot of heavy rainfall right now push into part of south

jersey. we still have looks tornado warning for sections of eastern mercer. we're showing you blue on radar indicateing a lot of rotation and also a lot of strong, gusty winds. there is potential this morning for damaging wind gusts, power outage as cross the area. with that heavy rainfall. this shows you what we're watching on ultimate doppler as far as who is seeing stron strongest winds moving off to the east. as we move to sections of mercer now you can see here's trenton and eastern sections of mercer and take a look at that strong wind here. where you see the pink or purple and also that teal blue that's a long of strong, gusty wind and rotation with hight as you go into the atmosphere. tornado warning here until 7:15 continues for sections of mercer county, middlesex and monmouth county. take a live look now out of the trenton area.

once again we're dealing with a lot of very heavy tropical downpours. rainfall rates of 1 to 2" per hour and in and around the trent tore mercer county area moving to sections of south jersey. here's a live look now as we move towards 4 2. you can see tropical downpours as we head to the ac expressway. there very wet conditions here early on this saturday morning as we deal with a lot of heavy rainfall just really raining in sheets across the area. so allow extra travel time or just kind of sleep in until all of this activity moves toward the area. still showing that tornado warning and lot of rotation right now moving to the east of the mercer county area on owe ultimate doppler. back to the radar. take a look at reds. yellows and oranges that is where we really have a lot of heavy rain. not only are we dealing with the heavy rain we're dealing with the gusty winds and also we had that threat once again

for power outages and wind damage. wind with this line in excess of 6 0 miles per hour. not out of the question as it moves west to east. back into parts of burlington county and also as we move to camden, dmrosster county looking at the radar and once again a lot of heavy rainfall in this particular area, rainfall rates anywhere from 1 to 2" per hour and watches places like browns mills moving towards hammonton and you're next to line for the very heavy rainfall. beuna, pittsgrove, bridgeton moving to the vip land and cumberland county. you can see a lot of heavy rainfall headed right in your direction. so once again this is a nasty lone of showers and thunderstorms that's really pushing through the area here early on this saturday morning. so once again the next several hours parts of south jersey

you're watching out for very, very heavy rainfall. we go back into sections of mercer county now and zoom the radar n you can see a little lightning around the trenton area and also sections in and around east windsor and robin robinsville and you're still under that tornado warning until 7:15. that activity continues to push to middlesex counties and sections of monmouth county as it moves east 45 miles an hour. we're keeping tabs on this particular tornado warning here. that includes sections of eastern mercer county and sections of monmouth county and middlesex county until about 7:15. ultimate doppler is showing strong rotation and this particular area as well. we'll kind of take the radar off and show you where the strongest rotation is within this particular area. you can see just to the east of trenton that does include you and places like east

windsor there and sections of mercer county and moving up the i-95 corridor. what you're looking at now i tack the radar mode off and we're zooming in. on ultimate doppler we have the capability to show you where some of the strongest winds are occurring, you're looking at that and saying look at the pink and purple and also that teal blue. that is ultimate doppler showing us that there's a lot of wind energy within that particular area. so, we have the capability one for tornadic activity and two we know the winds are very strong in this particular area. so that is why the national weather service has issued a tornado warning. one has either been spotted or we're indicating all that strong rotation on ultimate doppler. seek shelter immediately in these particular areas. once again we're showing there's very strong rotation and wind energy and this particular area sections of

east windsor and also mercer county. let's get our bearings here and show us wider perspective of the line of showers erin thunderstorms that is pushing through the area moving through southeastern pennsylvania and also moving through south jersey, sections of delaware with very heavy rainfall and gusty wind. lauren, i believe we will send things over to you. >> scott, when you see this much color on the radar you have to be careful. scott is doing a great job keeping an eye on it. delaware department of transportation warning people in new chuck cassidyle county live look at delaware porter and hickory he woods development apparently there's numerous power lines and trees down in the roadway. they're asking people to use caution in that area and of course they will set up detours for people. scott warning you if you have not gotten out of the house maybe you want to hold off a little. because the weather is so intense in our viewing area. people on the roads that got caught in the rain and storm and downpours is what it as at

some point this morning to be very careful, expect delays and use caution. that's wilmington, delaware. new castle county issued a travel advisory in that area sending that out on twitter porter roads and hickory woods development. numerous trees down and several power lines of course, skolt, that can be dangerous when the water and pounding and pooling and you're trying to make it through the roads and drive through those areas. >> with 1 to 2" per hour were looking at ponding on the roadway. it only takes a little watt to cause problems coming down that rapidly across the area. so, once again, if you can wait this system out it's rap ib lid moving to the east at 45 miles an housh if you deal with heavy rainfall wait a half hour to hour and your

area should be in the clear. that rain is racing east 45 miles an hour. we have clearing that has already begun as you move into southeastern pennsylvania, lancaster county, chester county, clearing out right now if you wake up joining us we're watching severe weather own ultimate doppler. berks county once again towards the lehigh valley. clearing out as that system moves on off from westing to west 45 miles an hour. nonetheless it has prompted a tornado warning that expired at 7 a.m. for sections of camden, gloucester and section of burlington county. we still have active tornado warning issued by the national weather service until 7:15. that includes you. eastern sections of mercer county. it looks like the most potent energy with that now moving to sections of middlesex and also monmouth dounltsyes to east of trenton. and we're still watching a lot of strong rotation there and

as we move to burlington county places like tabernacle. shamong looking at tropical to heavy downpours. moving down ac expressway move into atlantic county now on your radar we're watching some of the very heavy rainfall moving from west to west. also places like cumberland county waking up with us and vineland, millville, you're looking at very heavy rainfall showing up now on ultimate doppler. so we'll zoom in and show you winslot. hammonton. buena vista and heavy rainfall and pittsgrove area looking at strong, gusty winds as well as this activity moves offer to the east at about 40 miles an hour. once again right now the heaviest of the rainfall moving along way from old city, moving into sections of camden right now. cherry hill, mount laurel, cinnamon son. burlington. moorestown looking at moderate rain.

real tropical downpours now into sections of burlington county and also into sections around atlantic county. that is where the line is now pushing in from west to west. so we very closely are watching ultimate doppler here on this saturday morning as we continue to follow that line from the west to east at about 45 miles an hour. reports ever wind damage and trees down across the area as this line continues to move off to the east. once again we focused in on tornado warning that still includes sections of eastern mercer county until 7:15 and also middlesex, monmouth, you have that potential rotation and also doppler radar indicated tornado warning for you until 7:15. but take a look we've taken radar off and put the whipped sheer here this is tell uing us where the strongest rotation is on ultimate

warning until 7:15 with lichb showers and thunderstorms that's really just moving through the area back again sections of burlington county waking up to a lot of heavy rain, gusty winds and excess of 60 miles an hour moving towards hammonton avenue. if you head to ac expressway just wait a bit. wait these storms out. they're packing a punch on saturday morning and we continue to follow areas just around say buena, moving into vine land and millville there in cumberland county also watching your radar with the very heavy rainfall and gusty winds. so it has not made if down the shore yet. once again it's moving rapidly west to east. at about 45 miles an hour. so a lot of wind energy with this line of showers and thunderstorms capable of producing those damaging wind winds. a lot of heavy rainfall, rainfall rates 1 to 2" an hour

on twitter they released the update they're currently experiencing power failure. there was a guy dan daughterry that sent in a message asking patco are any trains running he was stranded ferry avenue station camden, new jersey i asked was he stranded he answered us saying all the power was out at the station they just left and they let him know it will be down more than an hour. it gives perspective to people who rely on public transportation especially patco that connects jersey to center city philadelphia. if you look outside right now the storm looks like it passed in our area and maybe it's over but scott is here to let you know it's not over just yet. it's moving rapidly through our area and we see effect. i checked and step and patco showing delays as well. if you wake up and just joined us a tornado warning in effect for several areas and skots

evenp seasoned xhapders are calling this extremely brutal and savage murder. let's go to video we got from you from the scene after all this happened just before 3:30 when police say a man passerby stumbled on a body in this grassy parka adjacent to dobbins technical high school. so police do believe this murder happened on school grounds. they say the woman was stabbed at least a dozen times from head to toe. and that her face was beaten. police are investigating whether she was sexually assaulted and they do not have any information on that yet. they believe she was a 34-year-old woman who lives in the area and they were able to determine that from content of her purse that appeared to be strewn throughout the area and here's captain drew techner talking about this murder and we want to warn our viewers it's extremely graphic and upsetting to listen to the details. >> her condition shows an awful experience that she must have gone through. she was stabbed repeatedly.

all areas of her body. sleaz laying there on her back -- she's laying there on her back and her pants are pulled down to her ankles. and there's signs of stabbing trauma all the way from her leg area all the way up to her chest. her chest is covered with blood and hands are covered with blood and this was a very brutal, savage attack. somebody really wanted to make sure that she suffered and that she was killed. >> now, police don't know how long this woman was in this park before the pierce by found her. earlier they were searching the area with k-9s trying to find what sharp object may have been used in her stabbing and police now are questioning the passerby that found her. he's at homicide talking to detectives. if are you information you're

lauren, what's tragic here is police don't know how long this woman was lying in this park and when medics arrived they tried to revive her and did everything they could and pleads say it was too late and this woman was gone. you can seat park behind me 21 and lee. police released scene and i can only speculate to that because the rain we saw earlier came down and police were working hard to gather as much evidence as they could. before that rain came down and washed all of it away. we're looking at video now of the scene just after it happened and police arrived around 3:30 this morning. cops say a man was passing by the park he was walk through and stumblingeded pop a body lying in grassy parka adjacent to dobbins technical high school. when police arrived they found this woman's body she was stabbed a dozen times from head to toe and her face was beaten as well. they believe she was 34-year-old woman they know that because of the contest of his purse were lying
