7:26 am
that cower could be $180 billion. >> they were just there to be there. >> it is mitch's home state. >> they wanted. >> right, mitch mcconnell's home state. it has been decade since someone went into fort knox to make sure we have the gold. >> yes. >> i'm not joking right now. >> they are check on the money >> you don't see secretary mnuchin's wife in that photo do you know why. >> she's taking it. >> she was down in fort knox herself stuffing gold bars in her louie vouton bags. >> did you hear that. >> you have the exclusive. >> sure, i made it up. >> yes. >> lauren, what are you doing this weekend. >> we are going to see a small concert tonight, watch big game at a friend's house tomorrow and i have a 70th birthday party on sunday. >> lou really good for 70. >> i know, i'm looking good for my age.

7:28 am
>> see what happens. >> i did not know this happened, do you know there is a 911 app you can put on your phone. this woman was trappe in the closet, and she was, afraid she would be sexually assaulted so she had an app and she just text 911 to the police and they came and saved her. knew towed get this and i'll tell you how after the break.
7:31 am
66 degrees, dew points in the 50's, beautiful weekend, water temperatures in the 70's we saw a few cloud, sprinkles, but that is diminishing in coverage. we have temperatures in the lower 50's in mount pocono. sixty-two in atlantic city. sixty-three right now in wilmington. across the region, look for cloud, giving way to sunshine, down the shore 79, lehigh valley, 77 degrees. it is lit up in the gulf of mexico, but saw of the hurricane, hurricane harvey movement to the north and west at 10 miles an hour. look at rain band pushing in land along texas coast. they are anticipating anywhere from 10 to 20 inches of
7:32 am
rainfall locally, some isolated amounts up to 35. max wind 110 miles an hour intensifying to that category three hurricane before all said and done and look at that bull's eye of rainfall, locally, 20 inches of rain. hey bob kelly, any jammos on your way to clementon park, have you arrived just yet. >> i'm here, good morning, everybody. i'm here, we will have a great day, old school on a friday morning, i'm driving bus today , i'll tell you more in a second. lets check the jam cams this morning, tgif on a friday morning, southbound i-95, right at route 420, an earlier accident causing a big delay southbound, through delco, and lets go to, the vine street expressway, where we are starting to see volume, coming into downtown, from end to end there, and then, we have got a concert later on tonight jason

7:35 am
that she could not talk to police, so she did text 911. >> reporter: bensalem director of police say savvy use of technology, combined with the fast on her feet dispatcher are important tools for law enforcement. >> dispatcher took to it that next step, and got her to make that 911 call and leave the phone off the hook. she didn't to have talk. got news there. >> reporter: christopher henningan of collindale delaware county was rest tell, bensalem police work with the fbi and collindale police made at rest. according to the arrest regard henningan and woman worked together. pair argued and he is alleged to have punched, choke and sexually all the sad her at knife point. he is in jail this morning on a 10 million-dollar bail. >> bensalem police director, fred heran joins us now. thanks for being on good day philadelphia sure, no problem, thank you so did i say this right, is it an app we put on our phones. >> it is not an app just as if
7:36 am
you were calling your friend or your neighbor or, calling for anything, you just dial 911, making a phone call, three letters, three numbers, 911 and it will get you as if you were making a phone call it will find tower close toes you and hits that 911 center, in this particular case. >> so we're calling or texting you call 911. >> texting, no, no, we're texts 911, as if you were, just as if you were texts i'm sorry. just texts 911. you get to your texting as would you text a friend rather and text 911 and then it gets right into the system. >> what did would the man say when she first texted 911 when she was in the closet just help. >> well, 911 operator texted back, 911 is this an emergency and they began dialogue. 911 operator was able to get enough information that the woman was sexually assaulted, that the suspect was still there, in fact, right in the
7:37 am
room, and very close to her, and dispatcher, figured that this woman could not talk, she confirmed that but however, right now, and that is changing within the technology is actually changing as we speak for bucks county. we are not able to do gps coordinates only gets us so close. this dispatcher knew that the police could not get to that location because woman really didn't know where she was. she knew she was in an apartment in bensalem. she was near 7-eleven but not enough to get police there. especially with the suspect still on the location. so dispatcher being quick on her feet and multiple dispatchers who were working this particular case, told her , can you make a call and leave the phone off the hook because on a phone call, we can try and late and get right to the location. so that is what the woman did, they made sure she was safe even though suspect was still there. i'm pretty sure he was sleeping and she stopped text
7:38 am
ing, called 911 at which point they were able to get police to the location and they began the conversation again once we were able to get there we arrived and that was that. we got her out of there. people don't realize thaw can text 911. now, very, very quickly, we will table try and late and get to that location so they wouldn't have had to hang up and then make a phone call. the technology is changing. few counties in the area that have it, bucks is one, bucks is very progressive, county, we are very lucky here, our elected officials and commissioners and local officials work very hard to make sure we have best technology to protect our citizens i'm sure people watching the show, i don't know if you know about rest of the delaware valley, who has this technology now, this beside you guys. >> i'm pretty sure montgomery county has it, and i believe delaware county has has it in the area three out of the five
7:39 am
counties, i don't know as far as you getting tonight berks and that area but i know, bucks, absolutely have it. we have had it for 18 months and. >> new jersey, delaware do you know anything about that. >> i don't know about new jersey and delaware, no, i don't. >> we do have about 400 text ing calls this year. >> wow. >> 400. >> it makes sense because i can't imagine being in that situation where something like that happened to her and then suspect is still there. >> she doesn't want her voice to be heard. >> to wake him up so he might do something else. this sound like something that is needed. >> people need to know they can do that. this guy was armed, he was dangerous, he raped her repeatedly through the night. this is a bad, bad guy off the street now. who knows what would have happened if he didn't make that call wow have woke up and started all over again. these are things we don't know
7:40 am
do i know one thing because of our judges, he is now got launched at 10 million-dollar bail and he is not gettin out and chances are he won't see light of day. >> good for that judge. >> just to remind people just as simple as sending a text to the number not saved in your phone you put in 911 and then just state your emergency and talk with the dispatch their way. >> that simple as if you were texting your friend. >> and then you could call and then they could listen to is what going on too, is that right, friend. >> that was the key, because we could in the try and late on the location, this dispatcher and woman too, i said yesterday she saved herself because a lot of people panic and she had enough composure to listen to the dispatcher a lieutenant of people don't. dispatcher told her just call and leave phone off the hook, for enough time that we were able to get a location. you're talking seconds to get that location not like television where you have to
7:41 am
sit. >> i'm not very bright, so she me how you would text. >> get tour text. >> your actual text. >> what do you mean. >> and then create the new mess age. >> create new message and then type in 911 and then you start >> and say help help. >> it sound like we don't have tonight our area. >> biggest hurricane bye you sure hope other departments will come together. >> green counties have it already, you are right, berks, lebanon, and schuylkill, carbon, they don't have it. >> philadelphia, delaware county they don't have it. >> but it is still a lot of green, it means it will spread to all of the area that will have it. >> that is great. >> wonderful. >> fred, nicely done. >> thank you. very much. >> lets getting thissing.
7:42 am
>> yeah. it makes sense. >> sure does. >> wow, what an ordeal that with man went through. when we come back can we lighten things up a bit. >> okayy want to you get upright now and walk out in the hallway. >> and then do what. >> just trying to get me to leave. >> come back and report what you experienced. >> all right. i will do. that
7:44 am
