will be the afternoon high temperature. we'll talk much more about the roller coaster ride with the seven-day forecast coming up. >> thank you. 7:03. let's talk about news breaking from overnight, police on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver who left on a man to die that the street. jennifer joyce live from the scene in port richmond with those details. >> reporter: good morning, lauren, it happened just behind mere, we were watching earlier this morning, as investigators combed the scene combed the scene to perform an accident reconstruction to get a better sense of what actually happened. police say shorterly at 2:30, a man struck by a vehicle near tulip street. investigators confirm the man suffered severe injury to his head and body and was pronounced at the scene a31-year-old man, police have not released the identity. they're working on the driver who hit him left him to die in

the streets at this point. police do not have information on the car actively working the scene's police say they found a number of clues to confirm this was a hit-and-run. the victim's shoe was found a block away indicating that the vehicle involved may have dragged the shoe after making impact. >> it was found he was struck by an automobile more than likely traveling at a high rate of speed. of there is evidence on the highway, on the road in the immediate area of the victim, that there was some sort of impact between victim and an automobile. there are several cameras, we've identified private surveillance cameras, that may assist us in this investigation. >> reporter: police say they're confident with the evidence they have they will find the driver, but it will be a better outcome for the person involved if he or she comes forward.

the well-known skin care brand thought it would be great idea to drop an ad for dove body wash on his facebook page. the add shows a black woman revealing a white woman. dove also make vaseline and ponds, apologized saying, we missed the mark. but that apology was a non-apology. many wondered how that add could have made it through multiple layers of review. how could a company be so tone, deaf? a lack of diversity. we've come a long way but there's still a long way to go, this isn't the first time dove put out a racially sensitive add. in 27-criticized showing three women side by side each with lighter skin than the woman next to her, behind them were signs before and after. before was behind an african-american women and showed cracked skin on the after side behind a white woman showed smooth skin visually more you

hi, jenny. >> reporter: good morning, lauren and this hit-and-run happened right behind me here, beneath that overpass, that's where police were focusing their investigation. we watched as accident investigation officers combed the scene taking measurements and performing accident reconstruction to get a better sense of exactly what happened here overnight and how. police say it was shortly after 2:30 this morning that a man was struck by a vehicle here on the 2200 block of allegheny avenue near tulip street. investigators confirm the man suffered severe injuries to his head and body and was pronounce at the scene. the victim is a 31-year-old man, police have not released his identity. right now, they're working to find the driver who hit him and left him to die in the street. at this point, police do not have information on the car involved but they're actively working on that. police say they found a number of clues to confirm that this was, in fact, a hit-and-run. >> his shoe was found almost a block away, indicating that the

vehicle may have dragged one of his shoes all the way to the next corner, which is a distance of several hundred feet. the driver of the striking vehicle, we will find out who was involved in this fatal accident. we're going to find out the vehicle. whoever was the motorist, they need to come forward and contact the police so we can help solve this and bring closure to the families. >> reporter: police tell us the driver involved was absolutely going fast at the allegheny avenue. police tell us that there are multiple surveillance cameras in the area. they're working to pull the video and dig up some additional clues to try to find out more about the driver. more about the vehicle that was involved in this and if anyone is watching this, anyone who was in the area around 2:30 this morning, please give police call and tell them what you know.

pierce lawmaker to share what we don't know about sexual harassment in the workplace. >> happy to be here. >> what's your first piece of advice for people who might be in these touchy situations? >> these situations are almost always touchy. the first bit of advice is if you have an employee manual look at it because you always want to know what your employer want you to do about it. the second most important thing is make sure you're documenting and telling a trusted person about what is happening. >> when you say document, paper trail >> if somebody said something to you or did something to you and you said i don't like that, i don't want that, don't do it again. it's never a bad idea to follow that up with an e-mail saying i'm glad we spoke about this, i look forward for professional relationships here on. that way, not only have you taken care of the problem or hopefully taken care of the problem, but you've documented it. so if it comes back again or it continues, you have a way of saying, this is where it started >> sometimes there's fear in that though.

people are scared of the repercussions or what could come as a result of speaking up for else thats saturday >> absolutely. sometimes the repercussions are actually the hardest part that someone has to deal with. you don't know who has relationships with whom and you know how imbedded that boss or coworker oh could be and it's a difficult situation to navigate for anybody and i always suggest that you get recommendations from people, not just from family, seek out a professional because it is not an easy navigation. >> when you're meeting these people on other side of your desk in your office how emotional of a process is this >> very emotional because the only thing closer to you than your family is your job and for some people the job is even closer. so when someone is doing something that threaten your job, it is a very personal and emotional thing. and that is the first part of it, sometimes taking somebody back and saying let's look at this from a way that you can

manage it and try to be a little less emotional. that's why a lawyer is there. of the job is to be less emotional and look at it in a way that solves the problem >> sometimes when situations happen be people start talking in office spaces. i don't know in it's gossip or healthy conversations. is there a in our numbers? should you start saying, i've heard about this person three four different times now, maybe it's not just knee. >> a conversation is never bad but you know, you have to also be careful again, you don't know what somebody that you may be saying this to, what their position is. >> right >> it's good to keep your eyes open's know who your close to, speak to those people first. and once you feel that this -- you can't ham it, you should definitely report it. if that initial, hey, i don't like that, that's not appropriate. don't do it again. if that didn't stop you need to take the next steps and ask for advice on how to do that. >> hearing these stories and people speaking out many years later, sometimes gives women and men the courage to start
