would upset folks who were not participating and local county chapter crying racism over a halloween display on somebody's porch. ashley johnson has the full story. ashley, what do you got for us? >> a morris town new jersey elementary school canceled the halloween parade in consideration of students who don't celebrate the holiday. the thomas jefferson elementary school principal notified parents about the decision on letter. the school would not give as you copy of the letter. students reportedly may wear the costumes and they will spend the day solving puzzles and playing bingo the district superintendent did not return the phone calls but said the principal made decisions after conversation with students, parents and other leader. the superintendent was quoted saying it was not based on any parent's complaint ap look at how kids could be included in all celebration. american see you col he guest spoke about the decision. >> so it seems like the old

freedom. welcome to chasing news. >> thanks for having. tell me what happened, tyson. you write this article. i am reading about this young woman, 20 years old. er and her boyfriend decided to abstain from sex until they are married. why did they attack her? she writes this article? >> well, you foe, groups on campus that disagree her and have a disagreement not necessarily about their stance on same-sex marriage but also, the stance on marriage and, and amelia's group definitely holds the catholic to marriage which is that marriage is between one man and one woman. and was of that. groups are trying to been aish her from the oldest catholic university for holding traditional catholic views to marriage to one man and one woman. >> did she do it to be provocative? was she doing it to stir up coninvestigators city to take the groups head on? >> absolutley not. in fact, the purpose of the article was simply to state what

her, what the goal of the group and the goal of the group actually focused and what it talks about is pornography, pornography and the harms of the hookup culture so that was the focus of the article and in fact, only one really about traditional marriage and they pulled that out and are using that to derecognize this group and in fact, that is not even the focus of their messaging. >> now you are rep accepting her and the organization behind mer and the group. this is on calm puts. there is a hearing on monday and do you think it is going too for have this hearing why its the university allowing this to be heard give than her article is right in line with the catholics? >> absolutely. just having a hearing in itself is a burden. this is very difficult and stressful time for them. they are going to college. i mean, they are faced with the team recognize simply for hoing to the catholic view of marching.

sunday, superstorm sandy wrecked our area sweeping through winds, tides, flood water, how have we recovered? we know what it loos like after this storm? how are we doing five years later. people back en their homes. boardwalks recovered. businesses back to normal. fox's rick leventhal has the full story rick: when superstorm sandy slammed ashore in 2012, it ravaged miles of coastline. the ocean swallowed the beach swamming neighborhoods that typically didn'ted from and leaving vehicles under water and boats on dry land cutting some houses right in half. sandy's unlenting winds and storm surge destroyed the pier and sea side heights something the roller coaster in the at lap tick ocean. five years later this board walk and pier have been rebuilt with new thrill rides while somehows of houses have been repaired or replaced. construction continues up and down the coasts with the governor's office reporting roughly one in five home openers are still building and some
