tell us that two witnesses were brought overnight to begin talking with homicide detectives about what they saw early this morning, according to police, this was after a 16-year-old was shot dead in the 12-year-old was injured by gunfire. police say it was just after midnight on that 2700 block of north 19th when man approached a crowd of kids hanging out on the front steps and opened fire. the teen was pronounce on scene. he was shot in the chest and neck area, a 12-year-old was transported to temple. he's in stable condition. homicide detectives are canvassing the area searching for the shooter. this is a man who had no problem pulling the trigger on a group of teens and killing one of them. 12.10 this morning, the two

victims with a bench of other children hanging out sitting on the step talking and one male shooter about 5'6" wearing all dark clothing, came upon them and basically started firing into the crowd. one or two victims were struck. >> reporter: investigators found eight shell casings at the scene and say multiple bullets struck the house, which they think is unoccupied while the hunt is on for the gunman. we're learning more about the 16-year-old that was shot and killed hearing that he was an identical triplet. bill? >> thanks, jenny we'll check back in a little bit. also, unfortunately, breaking overnight, police say man and a woman were shot inside their north philadelphia home. it happened just after 1:00 this morning on we have the wyoming avenue. investigators tell us the two victims were roommates and may have known the shooter. the man shot in the leg and is expected to be ok. over, the woman was hit in the side and is critical condition

thursday and friday, the next saturday, the walk to end alzheimer's temperatures right around 57. bill? >> thank you so much, scott. the 7:32. breaking news from overnight. a man opens fire on a group of kids hanging out on a north philadelphia porch. two were shot. one tragically dead and their shooter still on the run. jenny joyce live from police headquarters with the latest. good morning, jenny. >> reporter: good morning, right now, homicide detectives are searching for the person who opened fire on that group of children and teens. the 16-year-old that was killed, we're hearing he was an identical triplet. also injured, a 12-year-old police tell us that it happened on the 2700 bill clinton of north 19th street. this is just after midnight. that's had a man with a gun approached a crowd of kids hanging out on a front steps of a row home and opened fire. investigators say the teen was pronounced on scene. a 12-year-old boy was struck in the leg and transported to
