had yesterday morning it's 25 doylestown. plymouth meeting that's a comfortable running temperature around 37 degrees. 30 in chester. and then again of course 36 here in philadelphia. nothing going on satellite/radar we'll go west though that's where we do find just aerify ribbon of showers moving through ohio western pennsylvania that's the leading etch some cooler air and gusty winds that will come into play by tomorrow. but you know we're not seeing that arctic air on the big boards. defendant spot towards minneapolis a slight chill comes in for sunday before we get into much milder air by next week. so wind gusts will start to get, you know, little frisky out there winds will pick up around 15 to 20 for the overnight hours and if you're going to the eagles game, gusty wind is going to translate to real feel temperatures by say around 1:00 o'clock let's move this along to 1:00 o'clock and it will feel like it's into the 30 if's you're sitting and watching the game. 20s up towards the lehigh vall valley. today soak it up lots of sunshine. we'll get up to 57 degrees by tonight the winds are going to

become pretty breezy in fact look at the sustained winds around 10 miles per hour gusting to 25 overnight lows dropping down into the 30s. it's only really oneay of cold before we tap into even milder air by next week. we'll detail that forecast coming up in just a little bit. bill. >> sounds good. thank you very much, mike. sadly we start with breaking news out of oxford circle where police are investigating a fatal accident. our own jennifer joyce live outside police headquarters witness latest g morning. jenny. good morning, bill. at this point accident ors have not said how this crash may have happened but we do know that one person is dead and a second person is injured at the hospital after their vehicle veered off of the roosevelt boulevard early this morning and slammed into a tree. it happened on the 6,000 block of roosevelt boulevard near calvary christian church in oxford circle. police responded around 2:15 this morning the driver of the car was transported to aria

torresdale hospital with a broken leg. the passenger did not survive. the accident shut down a portion of the boulevard overnight as accident investigators combed the scene and reconstructed the crash to learn more. the one thing that we did notice was that sticker in the wind she'll of the car it appears to be uber sticker it is this driver may work for the ride share company. however, accident investigators say the passenger was not an uber customer. the driver was not on the clock at the time of the accident. and at this point the victim's identity has not yet been released. bill? >> thanks so much, jenn feature check back in with in you little bit. more sad news. a shooting suspect on the run in strawberry mansion this morning after officers were called out overnight for reports of a shooting. we're told that a man was shot in the leg at 30th and norris streets just after midnight. he then walk to a neighborhood store at ridge and susquehanna n from there he was taken to temple hospital. luckily he is expected to be okay.

bizarre investigation underway in center city. police say a man fell down an elevator shaft that one franklin plaza from the 23rd floor. it happened at 2:00 this morning. he was rushed to hahnemann hospital. no word yet on his condition. or how this happen. across the river in new jersey, fire crews were called out to battle flames early this morning in pennsauken. it happened at a home on cove road. now, thankfully, crews were able to put out the fire in just under 30 minutes. seven people have been displaced because of the fire. they are being cared for by the red cross. 7:05 this morning. the death toll rises in egypt after a mosque attack. 305 people are dead and 128 others were injured when a bomb went off. the scene was described as horrific with bodies scattered all over. some of the victims were children and here's what the president of egypt had to say about the deadliest terror tack in the countri' modern history.

privacy as her school aged peers. she is a young adult an private citizen and should be off limits. chelsea clinton also chimed in on twitter saying malia obama's private life as a young woman, a college student, a private citizen, should not be your alcoholic bait. be better. malia is 19 years old and currently attending harvard. today it's small business saturday and to mark the event a lot of mom and pop shops are holding big sales. the goal to encourage holiday shoppers to support your community and not just the big box stores. small business saturday started in 2010 and has grown into a nationwide event. here's good news for all of us getting out shopping or rea really just coming into center steam the philadelphia parking authority making parking a little easier on the wallet. the ppa says that some of its parking garages will only cost eight dollars on saturdays and sundays during the holiday season. that's between 11am and midnig

midnight. and maybe the best part, saturdays after 11am metered parkinparking it is absolutely e throughout the city until january 1st. the glitch is picked but yesterday it wasn't a typical black friday for macy's shoppers who found themselves standing in long check outlines. macy's suffered a system wide slow down. forcing shoppers to put their shopping on brief hold. officials say the delays they experienced were due to capacity related issues that caused some of the transactions to take longer to process. but some shoppers say the fix it just came a little too late. >> the girl checking us it said it's running super slow. the whole system is running slow and people had coupons that weren't working that complicated it as well. >> by yesterday afternoon, on the west coast, macy's had resolved the issue and the problem was fixed. shortly after, shoppers continued their shopping in preparation for the holiday. all right.

that changes though tonight as we are expecting some much gustier winds. but three to almost 10 degrees milder this morning than where we were yesterday morning. so that's certainly a good trend and that should allows to get right into the 50's. might get close to 60 degrees if you're in delaware watching us in wilmington or even down towards dewey beach might get to 61 degrees down there. so you see how there's a ribbon of showers just over western pennsylvania? that's leading edge of the cold front that comes at us by later tonight. that's going to bring in a wind shift to much colder air. so while it's just this little sliver of mild air that's in here for today, there's the cold air out to the west so international falls is 14. it's 13 degrees below zero in the huge lynn lake canada the cold air source that comes in on sunday. not only does it get much colder for sunday, the winds will start to scream. actually see the winds come up between 15 to 20 miles an hour tonight and then as we go eagles sunday by 1:00 o'clock, we'll

♪ this morning police are still investigating after it appears a man was electrocuted and killed on a septa regional rail train thursday. septa police say it happened at jefferson station in center city. a man between 16 and 20 was found electrocuted on top of the regional rail line train head to go fox chase. it's still unclear how he got on top of the train. man is dead after at least four dogs attacked him on a philadelphia street thursday night. the attack happened just after 9:00 o'clock on the 1300 block of west pike street in hunting park. police say they found the man on the ground being bit by at least

green bomber jacket, black jeans and black boots. please anyone with information please call the police. 19-year-old spent his holiday in the hospital after a vicious beat down. allegedly carried out by a group of fellow teens. bruce gordon has the details. >> reporter: jonathan had just gotten his first job out of high school a restaurant gig. he walk to work for his first shift on monday and never made it to work on tuesday.& >> one of them approached me, and asked me what time it was. >> reporter: speaking quietly halting thanks to still sore jaw jonathan asked us not to show his face in such a ways to allow his attackers to recognize him. >> it's just messed up. >> reporter: he says he was cutting through the alley behind tutor street approaching saint hubert high school around quarter to 4:00 tuesday afternoon when group of four black teens in hoodies came out of nowhere. with one of the teens asking to use his cell phone to call his mother. he said no he was rushing to work. >> about five seconds later, they started to hit me, and i

tried running. >> reporter: he says attackers caught up with hit him on ditman street right behind the high school. he says they clearly wanted his phone and one of the larger teens grabbed him. >> he bear hug me from behind and then he picked me up and he slammed me on the street. and then they all started to kick me and punch me. i was asking them to stop and to just please stop i was crying out. report roar you had no sense they had any hesitation about beating up to get your phone? >> no. >> reporter: he says in the middle of the beating a passing car stopped and a man got out, confronted and ran off the teens. >> if that guy doesn't get out of the car and stop this beat doling down, you can have been in much worse shape. >> most definitely. >> reporter: he he was rushed by ambulance to aria jefferson torresdale hospital. where he spent the neck day recovering from cuts and bruises. even now he supports a shine shiner under each eye but there are no broken bones new york concussion.

♪ the list of powerful men recently accused of sexual harassment and abuse is growing by the day. the past few weeks have been a whirlwind veteran tv personal charlie rose, minnesota senator al franken, again, former president george hw bush, alabama republican senate candidate roy moore, new york times reporter glenn thrush and bill clinton we have even seen it in parts of our company. call it the weinstein ripple effect. it has extended far beyond hollywood the fallout has led to companies severing ties with those accused and in some cases criminal investigations have begun. this was the biggest shift on

sexual harassment in the u.s. since the anita hill/clarence thomas case back in the early 90's. clearly we're in the mill of cultural shift. it's been a long time coming. men are being forced to deal with their behavior that until now society and workplaces tolerated. last year we didn't just tolerate this behavior we election add president who bragged about it. >> when you're a star they let do you it. you can do anything. >> whatever you want. >> grab them by the bleep. >> reporter: not any more. less than two hours after the washington post story broke about charlie rose, cbs and pbs suspended the popular journalist. the next day rose was fired. this avalanche has been years in the making. there's been a domino effect as more victims speak out others are encouraged to tell their stories. courage is contagious. there's also a greater awareness of what's inappropriate behavior. this ripple effect is an important moment in our history something has finally changed and as we continue to watch the firings, resignations and public shame, and there will be more,

jenny joyce has the latest from police headquarters. >> reporter: investigators have not yet said how this crash may have happened but we do know that one person is dead and a second person is injured after their vehicle slammed into a tree off of the roosevelt boulevard. it happened on the 6,000 block of the boulevard around 2:15 this morning. right near calvary christian church in oxford circle. the driver of the car was transported to aria torresdale hospital with a broken leg. the passenger did not survive. the accident shut down a portion of the boulevard overnight as accident investigators combed the scene and reconstructioned the crash to learn more. the one thing that we noticed was that sticker in the windshield of the car appears to be an uber sticking. the driver may work for the ride share company. accident investigators could confirm the passenger was not an uber customer. the driver was not on the clock at the time of the accident. the victim's identity has not

yet been released. bill? >> thank you so much, jenny. also breaking this morning, a shooting suspect is on the run in strawberry mansion after officers were called out overnight for reports of a shooting. we're told a man was shot in the leg at 30th and norris streets just after midnight. he then walked to a neighborhood store at rich and susquehanna. from there he was taken to temple hospital. luckily he is expected to to be okay. 8:04. bizarre investigation underway in center city. police say a man fell down an elevator shaft at one franklin plaza from the 23rd floor. it happened at 2:00 this morning. he was rush to hahnemann hospital. no word yet on his condition or how this even happened. across the river in new jersey, fire crews were called out to balance flames early this morning in pennsauken. it happened at a home on cove road. now, thankfully, crews were able to put out the fire in just under 30 minutes. seven people have been displaced because of the fire.

they are being taken care of by the red cross. ♪ new details out of northeast ohio. a deadly shooting involving several children. cleveland police say six children were shot last night, one of them has tragically died. police say the victims are all boys that ranged from 12 years old to 16 years old. it appears that the boys ran into another group and then the shooting started. but it's too early to tell if it was gang related. in egypt more than 300 people dead after militants attacked a crowded mosque yesterday. officials are calling it the deadliest terror tack in the country's modern history. egypt's president vows the terrorists will not go unpunished. correspondent connor powell reports. >> reporter: today' as tack in egypt's northern sinai province appears to have been as well planned and sophisticated as it was deadly. more than 230 people were killed after militants detonate add bomb outside a mosque in the

tuesday we're at 60 degrees. we'll do it again on wednesday. it's a beautiful treat as we get into the upcoming work week. maybe some rain chances but that really holds off until friday. bill? >> late november. i will take 60 degrees all day. thank you mike masco. a local woman celebrating the live and memory of her late sister by pushing herself to the limit physically. growing up linda and her sister karen were very close. so much so they even shared clothes. linda says nothing stood in way of strong bond so when karen was diagnosed with mull pell sclerosis in 2012 at the age of 48, it was no surprise that big sister linda was there for her every step of the way. sadly karen passed away in august from complications of ms. she's gone but not forgotten. so on thanksgiving morning, linda along with many family and friends joined more than 2500 other runners in the 39th annual thanksgiving day ms run in honor of her baby sister.

>> linda joins us to share her story. melissa bruno is here as well to talk about ms with us. good morning to both of you. >> good morning, bill. >> good morning. >> it's very close with your sister obviously. >> yes. >> what inspired to you kind of transition that relationship to running and making a statement and doing this. in well, when karen was first diagnosed her mobility began to take a turn for the worse and she had trouble walking and she lost the strength on her right side, and he had me focus on my own mobile because i knew that i wanted to be a care tack occur for her moving forward so i took up running at the age of 53 in order to be in prime shape to help her and to keep healthy myself. >> then actually doing the run i can still do this i was training to support her but making a statement with it? >> that's correct. >> i began do a lot of 5ks in the area and an important one that i learned about was the ms

run in wilmington. i work in wilmington, and it's a real community activity that they get together and families have been doing it for tens of years literally. and you know the grandchildren grow up they become part of the teams, and it's a great spirit that's there the day of the ra race. >> we are -- talk a little bit about ms and the support. i still don't think a lot of people kind of get the progression of this. >> sure. >> what should we be looking for? how much does support matter? >> yeah. absolutely. support like support from, you know, people like linda and the ms run, i mean, really, um, speaks volumes. last year we were able to fund 380 research projects solely from the national ms society. we are the largest private funder of ms research studies worldwide at $42 million.

>> wow. >> ms is a disease that really affects everybody differently. so we call eight snowflake disease because just like snowflakes, ms is just so different. >> not necessarily a specific thing you could look for. >> there's not a specific thing you can look for. everybody's story is different. ms is a chronic and progressive disease of the central nervous system. so the brain and the spinal cord and what it does, it really interrupts communication between the brain and the spinal cord and the rest of the body. so depending upon, you know, where that disruption and communication is will then display itself in the symptoms. symptoms range from fatigue 80% of people with ms have fatigue and it's not the fatigue i'm tired i need a nap i'll wake up and feel better you don't wake up and feel better. >> you feel leak something is reasoning. >> yes. >> i'm so impressed by people who do these runs by the way.

one of the things when we've done a couple of walks for alzheimer's or several other events the overwhelming amount of love that you feel when you're there. what was it like to get out there with so many people who were so many supporters? >> it was wonderful. this year in particular we had a lot of family and friends of karen that wanted to do this to in her memory. there were people who were participating who had ms themselves. using walkers. they were in wheel chairs. and it's just this comradery and going for a common cause which is to raise money to help support the programs. because we know how important it was for karen and there were times during her illness and her hospitalization where we can turn to the society and ask questions where we can get support to help her. >> we appreciate you. we appreciate you both coming in. there's more information. we have it up on the screen you can get more information by going to the website and what have you. thank you for what you do. thank you for what you do. p absolutely. >> thank you for coming in.
