actually her dad. on bill spadea, this is chasing news. >> big news out of washington, there is a tax plan. senators and house members got together and have a plan that will be ready soon to head to the president's desk. what does it mean to you? how soon will you see more money in your pocket? allison has the full story. >> congressional republicans are going to unveil their final tax cut plan and scheduled to hit the house and senate early next week. it's not finalized yet but will boost the economy and simplify the task scope. many living in high property tax states are concerned because it would cap the federal deduction at state income tax and property

tax at $10000. matt rooney an attorney says the negativity surrounding this is a narrative. >> at the narrative that were in trouble because you have our governor elect, phil murphy, new jersey immigrant legislators who have done nothing but raise our taxes. >> the changes will take effect until nex next year one of the things governor elect film earth be campaigned on was the millionaire tax. that in combination with -- has some employment about its implementation. if some are being affected by both, why live here. >> is saving money under the house to the senate. people who don't think they're going to need to sit down and do the numbers and start relying on

pay more than $10000 in california, new york and new jersey. >> on paying a lot more than that. doesn't cover the income taxes, my student loan deduction is gone, he got rid of alimony, we don't care about adoption money. there's a lot of things that was years later new jersey families and others. i don't think it's that's fair to say. >> most people on average are paying less than $10000. and most have a mortgage more than $750,000. so for the most part this doesn't even impact them. >> i disagree. if you live in certain parts of the state your pain more than $10000. think republicans have done a poor job selling this. some oppose the plan and about a third think their taxes will go up. there good parts of the plan. some are not pay more than $10000. some are paying 25 or 30,000 in taxes but that's not the majority of people. >> i think tax cuts should apply

to everyone. until you see that you're getting more money back you will oppose the plan. so the alternative minimum tax won't be there, it would be a windfall for some people so some will start in february that means you'll have more in your paycheck as an average worker starting a few months. >> maybe for some people. but your tech about places where there's high taxes. there are 900,000 people leaving york for texas and florida because they can afford to buy property. you want a key people in your state. you have governors raising taxes this is impacting the states that do have the high state

income taxes. >> headlines were chasing for you tonight. >> the thomas fire has claimed the life of a firefighter. it has been burning for 11 days scorching parts of venture and santa barbara counties. the fire will keep spreading because of dry conditions. the nypd special victims unit opened an investigation into russia was russell simmons following misconduct simmons denied allegations and instagram posts. he said today i began to properly defend myself. adding a # not me to his post. that's a look at some of the things were chasing. >> it's been five years since the tragedy at sandy hook where the gunmen took the lives of 20 children and six class members. it's been five years thus families are still suffering,

the victims of the shooting on that day, their stories are told throughout social media on the state. i want to talk about the sandy hook promise. since those five years many relatives have turned their lives into a positive message. they become advocates the hotel just in gun violence. one of the best in sandy hook -- some new that's called tomorrow's news. it's an effective way to get this across. text about a shooting that took takes place the next day. talks about why moore cannot be done. it's a conversation we have a lot in this country. by can't or be dense in sandy hook? 160,000 americans in the united states have been killed by gunfire. about 90 everyday. that includes suicide and homicide. masmass shootings in las vegas,

church shootings and the shooting in orlando. a lot of people are politicizing this. it's time to politicize the issue in congress needs to do more. >> thank you. this is a conversation we could have over a longer time. which side is right. reality is here to discus back in time to remember and stand with those families. thank you. >> let's check in with dan zero with your freezing forecast. >> tonight will be a cold night since early march. frigid temperatures will cause anything that melted today to refreeze just in time for friday morning commute. a warm up on the way. the cold air will be firmly in place for friday with high temperatures around the freezing mark. snow showers over the great lakes some snowflakes and maybe a dusting but not good to be a big deal.

replacing it versus over broadband users to slowdown apps or block them altogether. critics say it's a slippery slope that could allow them to charge more for internet access and censor the internet pgh so, and among the million outraged. outrage because the fcc pulled its own teeth advocated responsibility to protect the broadband consumers. rcc charming claims the changes necessary because net neutrality rules constrain online investment and prevent companies from innovating. >> it's not the job of the government the business of picking winners and losers. we should have a level playing field. >> the new rules are supported by the white house but opposed by content providers who claim that customers might have to pay more to keep their services

and now have comcast in charge of everything. it's always convenient to say the free market will sorted out but it's not gonna sorted out. >> but if you live in new york and new jersey you only have two choices we talk about cable. the real issues cable. what you say is an attorney. he talk about regulations and legal issues, is the problem really access in terms of bandwidth with other parts of the internet someone out to do something about. talk about child pornography and all the terrace links and isis on social media. >> certainly, there's been a lot of talk about how to regulate that takedown content. it's really difficult. >> it's not one or the other. >> it's not that there's no regulation, we still have these antitrust cases, you still have

>> that's right. growing up, my mom was swedish and my mom was mexican. my brother found that he had zero type anything that can look remotely mexican. so he urged me to take 23 and me. i didn't had maybe six or 7% that look like it was. i was pretty much as white as white could be. as were looking through the dna relatives that it matched us with. my younger brother and i matched about 25%. going down the list. i said this, before you mesh 25% in the goes to 2%. person i matched wasn't on his list. but i opened her profile and her

biological father was an anonymous sperm donor. it answered a lot of questions. >> what you do with this information? does it change your outlook on life? are you out there searching for relatives? >> i had a glass of wine and we had a good laugh. both of our parents were deceased, there's really nobody to ask about it. i was able to eventually get in touch with the other relative. the family grew up with was my family. we had a very normal, healthy, regular relationship. >> the region attending a family? do you think there's relatives out there to track down? >> yes, there is a biological half-sister from a donor. she and i have met. there's also have brother from the donor.

connecticut. they're still too many people that think there's a magic one solution for government to stop it. some say gun control something not. the real issues when we have so many fall soft targets in our area? why semi schools are left honorable. the bad guys are out there and in many cases they are arms. any legislation coming out of washington will not solve that. about we start talking about really getting a grip on security. i like to take up some of these issues that have been presented, at school, churches, these are the things will think about because it's about preventing the next tragedy. thanks for being here. always good to be here bring in your show. thanks for watching, see tomorrow night on chasing news.
