year >> also santa can have snow depending where you live in the delaware valley. let's focus in right now, what's happening with those airport delays, pretty good weather, not impacting any flights across the country. however, we are watching some weather that could turn lately icy and dicey. a wintery mix developing, we do have some winter weather advisories posted for the lehigh valley and poconos, and take a look at monday winds gusting up to 50 miles per hour, we're dry on ultimate doppler but off to the west look at that moisture, that's snow falling around iowa, illinois, into missouri, that's the clipper that will rapidly move in our direction, 7:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. on christmas morning, north and west, berks county, the lehigh valley, poconos, that's where we have the threat. temperatures today will be in the 40's and for christmas day

we're looking at high temperatures in the upper 30's. high temperature today, right around 44 degrees, temperatures for tonight dip into the 30's, once again, north and west watching out for that wintery mix. it's cold, it is blustery for christmas day, high temperatures in the 30's. much more on that snow bill coming up. >> thank you. that was not too bad this time of year. right now, the fbi is investigating a shooting in harrisburg that injured a police officer to determine if it was a planned act of terrorism. prosecutors say there's no doubt that 51-year-old amed, almofti who fired at police in pennsylvania state capitol was target police officers. he's accused of going on a shooting spree friday after firing a gun at a capitol officer and hitting a state trooper. authorities say he had two handguns was killed during a shoot-out with police. the trooper expected to fully recover. to millville, new jersey, where authorities are trying to find the gunman who opened fire

again at police officers, luckily no officers were shot during this incident last night. fox 29's joanne pileggi has the latest from millville. >> reporter: that's what a number of people in the area of north 2nd and vine are talking about right now. >> as i hit him, i fell to the floor and open and prayed that nothing didn't come in the zone i was in. >> reporter: there are police cars everywhere in this neighborhood in millville here in cumberland county. police are also out on foot. looking for the gunman who reportedly fired a number of shots in this neighborhood. you hear a lot of gunshots or a couple >> about five or sex at least about seven. >> reporter: police confirm at least one bullet struck a cruiser during the incident that happened between the. initial reports indicated that the officer had been shot. millville has had its share of shootings in the past several

target until 10:00 and if you need last the minute ingredients for dinner, costco is open until 5:00 p.m., giant until 7:00 p.m. and safe way until 8:00. you have the opportunity to get out there and shop. i went and tried to do a little bit yesterday. most of my stuff is done but i went out there ran around and i just hit the wall. i was going through it, got most of the shopping done and i was like, no. i'm good. i'm just going to give love. is that the song? i'll give love on christmas day. it's a tradition, many people are up early this christmas eve for tradition in south philadelphia. the doors are now open at term knee brothers selling delicious treats to customers some who have traveled at long and far distances to get there have not our jennifer joyce is there where doors opened about an hours ago. it's a tradition, i can only imagine how good it smells, i can see jenny people already having a great time.

that could bring snow for santa be once again, lehigh valley, poconos mountains, watching that moisture rapidly move in our general area later on, dry much of the day, and later on we'll go hour by hour watch the clock as we move toward say 7:00, 8:00. the green is the rainfall primarily, the i95 corridor, sections of south jersey into delaware, once move into lancaster county, lehigh valley, poconos mountains, that's where we're looking at the wintery precipitation. 11:00 light showers, once again, for much of the area, temperatures simply not cold enough to support that snow until you get far north and west. that's where i do expect several inches of snow likely in the poconos mountains, maybe a coating to an inch. places like berks county as you move into the lehigh valley and once again mainly rain, few wet

deadly hour's long standoff in bethlehem township, justin kept heart killed a man and shot

at police before turning the gun on himself on the 1500 block of dennis street, the woman killed was the suspect's mother. and the four month old baby attacked by a racoon in her mom's epa continues to recover at st. christopher's hospital. she's doing well. journey needed more than 60 stitches when a racoon pulled her from her bed in north philadelphia earlier this week. l&i went to the home where the attack happened on north 22'nd street. they believe that the owner was running an illegal rooming house and they've cited him. scott i've said it i'm not going to complain about weather during the holiday season through at least january 1st. it's all thump up, with all that being said, maybe a little rain, maybe a little snow. and the best chance for a white christmas comes tomorrow morning will be the lehigh valley. also sections of the poconos bill but a live look right now outside of our studios, a beautiful sunrise across the area, and dry conditions after all of that rain that we saw on

yesterday. believe it or not, the high temperature made it to 61 yesterday. it was damp but it was mild as we look at the temperatures right now, it's 37 degrees in philadelphia, winds out of the north, at about six miles per hour, some of the colder air is making a come back. take a look at the temperatures, 31 right now, in tannersville, 31, doyles town, ambler freezing, 32, chadds ford waking up to 32. south jersey, several temperatures mid 30's, vineland 35, glassboro 36, moorestown right now, 34 and brigantine 36. as far as conditions for today, high temperatures will be in the 40's, that wintery mix late tonight especially north and west. then what about blustery conditions for christmas day? gusts up to 50 miles per hour. so green airplanes across the lower 48, so looking pretty good right now, no weather-related travel concerns. on this christmas eve as you make your way to your destinations off to the west is

americans waiting for a life saving organ transplant. joe is a father of two and in need of a kidney after doctors diagnosed him, the disorder causes your body to excrete too much protein in your urine. i saw your story on social media and sat there and watched. so much information there. but share your story. how you kind of got to this point. >> in 2009, i was being treated by a heart doctor for what we thought was a heart issue, because i was retaining fluid. like you said, about the protein issue causes your body to retain fluid. and he discovered i have a kidney issue. sent me to a nephrologist, and discovered i had nephrology

syndrome. they told me i wasn't going to get better and i would get into end stage renal failure, in june of 2014, i was in the hospital with pneumonia, and they were not getting the fluid off fast enough and i was essentially drowning in the hospital. they told me that i would have to go on dialysis and i've been on ever since >> you're an active guy with your students and the community. when you hear about this, impact that it has on the family? >> most people don't know because joe looks normal and tries to keep up. the impact on the family really is when he tries toed every day things with joe or aubrey and he's very tired, the hardest thing is when at night, when i'm putting joey to sleep and he's like, mom, why can't dead read a book to me tonight because he's

on dialysis, i'll bring the kids in the room when he's doing dialysis, reads read to them and sometimes he'll play checkers with joey >> i watched the video and i was sharing with you during the break i've had family member that is have gone through dialysis and i didn't know the extent of it until i watched your video. you're sitting there for essentially a five-hour >> initially i was ok with my family members that stepped up to be donors. but for various different reasons, health reasons, nobody passed the screenings. then i was saying well, i guess we'll wait for jefferso to call us up with a deceased donor, not putting anybody out. it's not as personal, i don't know anybody and i don't have to ask for help by doing it that way. eventually, my son got older, my son grew up with me on dialysis,

seen me doing it at home every day, since day one, and he knows more about it than most kids in college. he can pronounce all the words and everything. one day he said to me, dad, when are you going to be done dialysis? i said i'll be done in a few hours, joe. he said, no, when will you be done dialysis? and it hit home, and there was a local girl named erin francis, who's a friend of our nephew, and i know that she went public with it recently, and her story inspired me to go public to finally ask for help, and what it comes down to is i just needed to swallow my help. >> it's inspiring because you -- you need help. but so do hundreds of thousands of people, and when you do this, people figure out how they can help and how they can get involved with you, but with everybody who needs this donation. >> correct. there's, like you said, over 100,000 people out there that need donations. a live donor is what you really want.

the kidney lasts long when you receive it from a live donor. it will last twice as long we were told. at jefferson, their first live donors had their kidneys four years, that's the ultimate goal, if people are inspired to help me from hearing my story, there's other people that need the help as well. you could call your local hospital. not only jefferson, but call your local hospital and say, hey, if you really want to help somebody in my situatin, because there's many people out there that are living life every day and trying to move forward but yet still have to go through this, you can help by being a live donor. >> i actually did a story not too long ago about a nanny who donated to the child she was taking care of. she said all she had to do was live with a scar, so that this little girl could live. you know, and now, a year or so later, both daughter and nanny are doing well. that's why we're sharing the story. thank you very much.
