and another foggy start down at philadelphia international airport. today, be ready for some flight delays. mass transit, though, off to a good start. mike and alex back over to you. >> okay, just into us here from feltonville section of philadelphia. a woman is in the hospital after being pistol whipped in a home invasion. >> it happened at 5:15 this morning on the 200 block every west roosevelt boulevard. police say the suspect forced his way inside of the home. and demanded drugs and money. >> the victim is in stable condition at einstein. and police are searching for the suspect. >> okay, lauren johnson's almost there. we'll have details once she get on the scene. also, following this: out of the nicetown neighborhood of philadelphia, where police are searching for the driver in a hit-and-run, investigators say a motorist struck a 28 year old woman, right at the intersection of pulaski avenue and hunting park shortly after midnight then drove off. paramedics transported the victim who broke her arm. the einstein medical center is where she is in stable condition. no description on the car yet.

police show up here. and they come in contact with the woman, 34 years old, who was pistol whipped pretty brutally by a man that she described as hispanic. lying in her bed reading the bible, when he forced his way inside the home asking for drugs and money. luckily, he left. he fled the scene. and he wasn't seen since then. while police were here investigating, a half dressed man walked up to them, saying he was also the victim of a home invasion. he lived in the same apartment building as this woman. in a basement apartment. he described the same incident, a man forcing his way inside the home with a black handgun, he came in, asking for drugs, money, and an unidentified man, this man decided to play dead on the floor of his apartment. at that point, the suspect started rummaging around the apartment looking for what police believe to be drugs and money. the man was able to escape his apartment running away from the scene here. so there is some evidence outside down on the sidewalk not sure what that is. but police say at this hour

what they know is that they are looking for a hispanic male, that was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt. the thing that they recovered in the back of the house was a light colored sweatshirt. they're not sure if the man was alone, another interesting piece of the story, mike and alex, is that a block away, on lowden street, just off of roosevelt boulevard, about four, five cars were hit, by someone, no one knows who, so they're not sure if the suspect was in a car, and hit those cars trying to leave the scene or if this was completely separate incident watch they tell us at this hour is they need to talk to those victims, both of them now at einstein medical center. and when they interviewed them, they'll have more details on exactly what happened. we can bring you an update. >> bet she goes back and grabs that bible again. wild scene. all right, lauren, thank you. 6:34. >> a week since the killing of 17 people at a florida high school. community members are honoring those they lost, four of the 17 were laid to rest yesterday. fourteen year old carol, 16
