their pain. >> reporter: the homicide of the 53-year-old is front page news of the korea times stating the certified acupuncturist died of multiple stab wounds in her home based business. >> she's so nice. she's so really really nice lady. >> reporter: he was a friend and a patient of the victim. >> she really good doctor. i trust her. i really trusted her. >> reporter: police say she was found friday afternoon tied up in the bathroom and stabbed in the home near little river turnpike. >> there's a lot of information of potential evidence within the home that is the answer to why it's taking so long. >> reporter: the investigation also may have gotten to a slow start as police deployed both spanish and korean speaking officers to help in the investigation. >> has it been a challenge? yes. it's always a challenge. we want to make sure we get the proper information. in this case, it's merely slowed us down. >> reporter: friends say she

[ indiscernible ] help with the neighborhood. very surprise this morning. i don't understand what's going on. i really don't understand. something happened. you know. >> reporter: police do not have any suspect information to give us, but they do say they're following several leads. police have been talking with patients and those who had appointments with the victim. if you at home know anything about this case, police want to talk to you. >> thanks. arlington county is trying to wrestle control of a busy roadway away from the state. the county is asking the virginia department of transportation to shift ownership for more than three miles of columbia pike. arlington officials argue that the state bureaucracy is delaying much needed development along that stretch.

the county wants to speed up completion of several projects including the street artism and apartment retail complexes. they will rule on the issue some time in the fall. metro says an operator who opened the train doors on the wrong side of the platform, that operator has been placed on administrative leave. took a drug and alcohol test after riders informed about the incident. the incident happened thursday. this is the third time this year the train doors opened on the wrong side of the platform. there have been no injuries thus far. jobs, taxes and transportation were at the top of their agendas as the candidates for virginia governor met in their first debate today. democrat and republican squared off at the resort in high springs, virginia. both candidates agreed that transportation is the key for rebuilding the state's economy. say the focus if elected would be on the economy and jobs. >> i think that the difference

between you and i when it comes to economic development generally is you believe that higher taxes is the way to prosperity. i think that's absolutely wrong. >> you voted to raise the sales tax. you vote today increase the tax on soft drinks, voted to increase the tax on oil. you voted for every hunting and fishing fee increase that came down the road. >> neither candidate would commit to new taxes as a way to help jump start delinquent highway construction projects. all of the parties now agreed to meet at the white house for fence mending and maybe a beer. the president, the arresting officer and the harvard professor taken into custody at his home say it's time to move on now. digital correspondent has more. >> they all want to move on with their lives and they seem to be ready to leave this incident in the past, but will sharing a beer stop the controversy from brewing? it's being called bar stool

providing officers with helpful tips that lead to arrests. police say officers have made one homicide arrest. six drug related arrests and an armed robbery arrest. all hands on deck will run through 6:00 a.m. sunday. protesters around the world today calling on iran to end the clam down. a global day of action with planned protests in more than 80 cities including washington. the demonstrators want iranian authorities to release scores of people detained following the presidential election last month. police and progovernment ma alicia attacked and scattered hundreds of protesters who gathered in tehran today. 13 astronauts aboard the shuttle have enjoyed their first day off in more than a week following a series of space walks. shuttle endeavor's commander says the mission has been so jam packed with activity it's had trouble finding time to tweet. one more space walk is now planned for monday.

looking at a live shot. we want to update you on our top story. one lane northbound to 270 opened following the poal truck accident that happened about 9:30 this evening. the texas boy buried alive at a pool construction site. the 12-year-old and his 8-year- old brother climbed into the bed of a sand truck. the boys were with their father who was working on a pool at the time. investigators say when they checked the ho at thpumped sand mixture, theyfound him buried underneath the sand pile and his brother half buried
