prosecutors, they say that the money was the most recent bribe at jefferson that they took. the arraignment for white supremist is set for september 2. the 89-year-old is accused of killing steven johns last night. he was indicted on seven charges yesterday including first- degree murder. four of those charges making him eligible for the death penalty. sentencing handed down today for a virginia man behind a deadly accident. 32-year-old, michael eaton received a 10-year sentence after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of the accident. eaton was behind the wheel of a range rover in rockville last august. the 10-year-old jasmine was killed in that crash. a metro bus driver is charged with kidnapping tonight. they say that the charges were leveled against the 41-year- old, michael robinson, after refusing to allow a passenger off his bus. now, this reportedly

they are here with the five things that you need to know as your unemployment benefits come to an end. thank you for coming in today. >> thank you for having me. >> some perspectives here. talking more about $17,000 that will run out of their checks and benefits by the end of september. 5.5 million people by the end of the year. states with the highest rates of unemployment are the ones that are going to suffer the most. d.c., they are lumped in there? >> yes. so the states that had the high unemployment rates right where the recession began, you know, the government, they instituted these federally funded unemployment benefits, extensive -- extensions,

triggered by the higher unemployment rate. so now if they had the higher unemployment rates earlier, they began to get these benefits extensions earlier. now they are exhausting them earlier. you'll see about 1,000 people in d.c. that will benefit that by december. maybe about 4,000 or 5,000 by the end of the year. or a state like virginia, where they tax those extensions later, you won't see any extent or any exhaustion for them by the end of september. >> whenever they run out, that will be tough for folks? because they are taking a long time for them to find work. >> this is one of the ugly characterizations of the recession, the fact that we have 4.4 million out of work for 26 weeks or more. that is just in june alone. these people, well, we have $14 million americans out of work in the month of may and $2.5 million jobs openings. that is $14 million. >> congress is talking about extending the benefits again.
