tornado in frederick county. we will know more about that later. start with the three-day trend, if you are going to pick one day, pick saturday. it won't rain all day son sunday but mostly late in the saturday but saturday looks the best. highs upper 80s to around 90 both days. a 30% chance of a shower or thunderstorm. i will show you why in a second. but the threat for severe weather is over with. low temperatures 60s to 70s. during the day tomorrow, partly to mostly sunny. warm but nothing unusually warm for this time of the year. highs range between 86 and 91. sunrise 6:09. here's the weather setup. the line of storms triggered by pressure trough or wind shift line that is moving off the coast now. we have another system across the mountains. a weak cold front will come through late tonight after midnight. we have to wait for that to go away before we can clear things out completely. we are picking up some fairly strong storms down south, southern maryland, northern

neck of virginia across the lower eastern shore. the activity is pushing east at 25. if you are watching across the northern neck and it is raining at your house, don't expect severe weather but it will take another half hour, 45 minutes before it clears up and then expanding the view a little bit here. we can see hit and miss showers in west virginia and western pennsylvania. that's with the front that will come through tonight after midnight. still a chance you could hear a rumble of thunder around late tonight but no severe weather. 75 at the top of the hour. dew point 66. the winds have shifted to the northwest behind that trough. most spots dropped in the 70s once the rain moved through. 73 culpeper. 74 at bwio. the temperatures drop off another five or six degrees as we head to tomorrow morning. the seven-day forecast looks like this. again, a 50/50 weekend coming up and a chance of rain late tuesday in to wednesday and that front will be a little stronger. and i think it will change the temperatures. upper 80s to around 90 until that time and then maybe toward the end of next week we will

in the mail bag tonight, bernard, apparently of no known address offered condolences to the peggy cooper who lost her home in a fire. a situation he says did not have to happen. the complete loss of the home and everything in it could have been saved if our city had done what it should have, concerning the present fire hydrant situation. if we can spend so much money on things that are not needed why can't the city get behind such needed repairs as our fire hydrants. it is sad it takes such terrible happenings to wake up

the city to what is really needed. >> the wakeup happened a couple of years ago with a similar situation in adams morgan when there wasn't enough pressure to fight a fire. mayor fenty promised answers as to what went wrong this time and what needs to be done to fix it and we can only hope. more michael vick blow back. last night i suggested it would be a mistake to let the return of vick to ruin one's enjoyment of it all together. and one viewer said it is i that was mistaken. okay, wait a second.
