that fire. and what's more? many of the reports, the findings, they are similar to what happened last week during the fire that destroyed the home of the fire school board president. and they are in the information center now with this exclusive report, dave? >> reporter: well, they have called them to be written as to why the fire department, they couldn't get the proper water pressure at the fire at the mansion last wednesday. and a city council member, they are called for hearings. when this 76 page report was released in 2007, looking into a fire then, that had similar problems, the council, they paid little attention. >> and well, these incidents, they certainly have drawn us much closer together. >> december 10, 2007, meeting for the community of the public's work, it was a love fest compared to what happened immediately following the fire that destroyed this apartment building 40 days earlier. >> it took four attempts to get the right combination of the hose and fire hydrants. >> reporter: after weeks of finger pointing, the fire chief and the general manager, they

many things on the same name. that then and now, they did not have the add wet maps -- adequate maps to tell them where to go in the system to find water. in both fires, there were questioned about -- questions about the time limit of the response. instead of hearing the results critical of the fire department, they heard this assessment for them and then the general manager, jerry johnson. >> that they could go to sleep tonight, knowing that there is adequate flow to suppress any fire that may have occurred or other emergencies that may have occurred in the city. >> the fire department's spokesman confirmed that they use that report as a guideline and implemented most of the recommendations. but there are a number of recommendations out there for the report that they say are relevant to wednesday's fire that have not been implemented because of the funding. and neither the fire department or the council members, jim graham, they can recollect the consultants to the testimony. and they were presented to the council. you can read that report from 2007. and that is at wusa9.com. all right, thank you.

this is a house fire. you can see the smoke that has increased from the last time that we have checked in. and sky nine, they are above the 90 block out there in fort washington where firefighters, they had to evacuate a two-story single family home. we understand that the structure, they have collapsed. we should also note that according to the fire spokes people, there are no injuries in that fire. we don't yet know exactly how many folks were in the house or how badly the house is damaged just yet.

the relative humidity, they are at 44%. near 90, down south, out there, 87 there. sot temperatures, they are about the same everywhere. again, everyone will settle back towards the 70s by tomorrow morning. a little disturbance going through. that could be enough to trigger a couple of thunderstorms. nothing showing up on the radar near us right now. but some storms, they are coming out of the mountains. those will continue to develop as they head over towards the metro area. sot chance for rain, they wi sethe evening. they are going through the ohio valley. that is associated with the cold front that will come through here during the day tomorrow. that will be the trigger mechanism for the thunderstorms, less humid air mass by thursday and friday. mid-90s by monday.

in the living well report, a classroom at the regional center, where kids, they are doing amazing things. thanks to something that is called conductive education. >> don't expect to see them laying in front of the floor. but conductive education, they are getting kids with that out of wheelchairs and walkers. >> the wheels on the bus, they go out there. >> they are incorporating the exercises that are encouraging the movement and relax ridged muscles. >> well, just do that out there. >> the unique brand, teaching body awareness and overcoming the physical disability, they are continuing all day long. >> the biggest defense is that, well, you don't do just therapy. we do that toilet training, the feeding. all of that, the beach.
