week in colorado and montana. >> as we have been seeing over the last few days a lot of misinformation out there. several different versions of the reform bill are out there and not all the bills contain the same provisions. tonight we break some of it down for you. >> i guarantee you i will be one of them that will be thrown away. >> reporter: frustration was evident among democratic lawmakers holding the session. >> people putting out information that is totally false. >> reporter: separating fact from fix isn't easy. four different versions have been approved by congressional committees. we searched for answers on three drafts available. on abortion. >> what is the position on tax funded abortions which will increase the death of preborn infants by 30%. >> would the government pay for abortion? that is unclear. two of the bills don't address that question at all. one version requires that one health plan in each region

cover the procedure. on illegal immigrants. >> illegal aliens will not be in this bill at the end. >> reporter: would millions of illegal immigrants be covered through health care reform. it ea r.e bithlldot.r. ese billthdoes state only individuals lawfully present in the u.s. can qualify but republicans say there is no verification system to ensure illegal immigrants won't apply and if one family member is eligible for health care, so would everyone else in the family. on the cost. >> how are you going to look at my children in their eyes and tell them they are going to have a better future. >> i am not going to vote for any bill that adds to the national debt. >> you have already. >> would health care reform pay for itself? as of now that is doubtful. the president says costs will be covered through savings and efficiencies but the congressional budget office can't quantify those factors and it is estimated health care reform would increase the deficit by 239 billion over ten

years. finally, on congress. >> are you willing to drop your congressional health care and be stuck with this one? >> would members of congress be participating in the government plan? no, just 75 republicans and no democrats have signed a pledge to participate in any government-run health care plan they pass. >> another question you may be pondering. the way things are now why does medical care cost so much? let's say for a hospital stay. hospital stay your final bill covers a lot more than the price of the actual medicine. the american hospital association says overhead costs to run a medical center, pay administrative staff and utilities are built into the bottom line and operator margin covering the cost of new medical technology and replacing worn-out equipment and you are also paying a subsidy to help cover the uninsured and underinsured patients who aren't able to pay their bills. you can read more about all of

and some real change. >> reporter: other riders on the redline have varying opinions regarding the petition. >> now the attention is focused on him he and all metro officials need to step up and really give this attention and greater transparency so we can all be reassured. >> i'm not sure it is individuals, i think it is the whole metro organization. >> reporter: metro spokeswoman said metro general manager john cato serves at the pleasure of the metro board and the petition isn't worth a response from john cato. reporting several obviously false names among the initial 80 petition signatures from hulk hogan and i am nuts. it is unclear who added these names but it is clear the poster of at least one was deliberately trying to undermine the petition. as for john cato, they may be saying it is not worth their time to comment on this petition but they do say he
