road on 395 in virginia heading northbound. things are slowing down. what a pretty skyline. that stretch of slow go from duke to seminary. no incidents along the way. wrap it up with 66 eastbound. we are tracking a good amount of traffic from 50 to the capitol beltway. over to you. one past the hour. work on the hot lanes in virginia could lead to a little confusion in tysons corner. a rush hour detour that is new this morning. trial trillion trial -- armando trull is live with what you need to know. >> reporter: for those who travel southbound 495 at the tie cons corner area here's what has to happen in order for you to avoid that confusion. here's what you need to know right now. if you travel southbound on 495, you will no longer be able to exit at the northbound 123 exit. that's exit 46-b. it has been closed for the next month and a

half. instead you will be detoured to exit 45-b. that's an exit on the left. be careful for folks trying to get across those lanes trying to get to that exit. once you make it you will be on route 268 and stay on route 267 and eventually exit at 19-a or b to get to chain bridge road. if you travel eastbound 267 and you are one of those folks that sneaks on 495 to get to chain bridge road you will no longer be able to do that. you have to stay on eastbound 267 and eventually again exit at 19-a or 19-b to get to chain bridge road. that's what you need to know right now. i'm armando trull reporting live at the information center. >> thank you. here's a closer look at the beltway hot lanes project. it will add four new high occupancy toll roads the project will cost $1.4 billion and should be done by 2013.

two storms we are keeping an eye on. gill has become the first atlantic hurricane of the season season and claudette has come ashore in the u.s. it made land fall near fort walton beach. it has been dumping heavy rains. it should be downgraded in a few hours. it will bring plenty of rain but no flooding or wind damage is expected. more at 7:00 on the "early show." president obama and his allies are increasing their push for health care reform, but one part of it might not be a deal breaker. nicole collins has the story. >> reporter: the health care debate in the united states has shifted. on fox news sunday, a key democratic senate negotiator said the president should drop his push for a government- funded or public health care option because it will never pass in the senate. >> the fact of the matter is there are sot not the votes in the united states senate for the public option and never have been.

release. heading from maryland to parts of fairfax county is exhibit -- about to get more complicated. a rush hour detour this morning. armando trull is live with the story. >> reporter: anybody who uses southbound 49 and tries to access chain bridge road needs to be aware of this. you will have 46-b closed and instead detoured to the dulles toll road access road, that's 267. you have to stay on 267 and get off at 19-a or 19-b depending which direction you want to travel on chain bridge road. this will happen next 45 days until they reconstruct the bridge. you have to be careful because even though there are signs that advise you on the detour and exit closure a lot of people will not be aware and may try to get to that exit,
