nothing. >> still their odds are good. the hotel constructed more like a bunker. they have been standing since 1953. karen brown, cbs news, panama city, florida. forecasters, they are not expecting much rain or flooding from the remanence. well today, also marking the 40 year anniversary of hurricane camille. it slammed into the mississippi coast. the category 5 storm, they made landfall near the mouth of the mississippi river with sustain winds of about 200 miles an hour. this storm killed 248 people and caused almost $1.5 billion in damage. we'll have to complain about that this morning. they are trying to do it a bit better for the drivers, how to get around a closed ramp. now that ramp just happens to leave out of the loop of the wa the northbound route 123. now, that is right now to explain just why they had to close that and how the traffic looks tonight, dave. >> the explanation is laying the mess of construction projects, and they say that this is kind of ground zero between here and

the dallas toll road, the taoáeu son corner area -- tyson corner area. they will move right out there at 123. a lot of things will happen here including the new rail lines coming through here. that has been close for 45 days. the detour is challenging. the electronic signs on the other side of the beltway might be finding the progress. but they are also signs of confusion for some this morning. the problem with this detour is to fold that, having them suddenly go from what is normally a right hand exit across four ways of the beltway to the left hand side of the outer loop. is >> you have to make the detour before you get to the closures. so by the time you get to 123 north, it's closed. >> it could be better. >> they take you on the eastbound exit out there to get to northbound 123 towards mcclain. that's the detour for the utter loop of the beltway for them and coming up to the beltway.

lower. well here's another sign of the global economy that is improving. japan has pulled out of their recession. the country says if the economy expanded at a 3.7% annual pace on a strong rebound in exports. japan joins germany and france in recovering from the global financial crisis. if you have gone grocery shopping lately and you probably have, you're noticing you're paying less for milk. the price of milk has drop from the record highs last year, that's good news for your family budget, but not good for the dairy farmer. they have seen increases in other costs, and cutting costs could mean cutting production. >> we're trying to cut the green. every cost that we possibly could. pu trying not to lose too much milk production. >> the u.s. department of agriculture, they have rates supporting the prices in attempt to help the ou the dairy farm -- in aer tempts to help out the dare i farmers. sugar crisis is in the high because of shortage of sugar in

that's the plain and simple truth. >> outside here, the call for the government run healthcare plan, fueling more protests. the president supporters -r, they helped signs pressing for the so-called public options, but the liberal democrats fear that they mite abandon that part of the plan to gain conservative support. they signaled the president, hoping to compromise. >> through the bottom line of this for the the president, they have to have the choice in the competition and the insurance market. stkphr-t white house says they are willing -- the white house says they are willing to make exchanges by the nonprofit groups or the state, not the federal government. and some democrats, they argue that is not the kind of reform that they should need with some republicans, seeming to like the idea. >> we already have a lot of those. or something like them. nonprofit basically. and that seemed to work. i don't know if they will do anything that people want. but we need to look at it. >> giving up on the public option that might anger liberals. but the conservative democrats

on it. that will become a storm. but let's hope that it stays on track. of where we think it's going to go which had be offshore because that will be a big one. let's start with your forecast now. the next three days, it'll stay hot here for a while. a couple of thunderstorms. probably the best chance this week with storms on wednesday. temperatures about 91. even into thursday, some isolated storms are possible. even on thursday, we're still kicking the 90-degree mark, they are still belter out there, so no record. partly cloudy miles, mid-60s to the suburbs. a little muggy downtown. lows in the low 70s there, light to light winds, sun sets at 8:00. all right, satellite pictures radar combined. a couple of things to zoom down there. and this is what's left out there. and they are getting some pretty good showers and thunderstorms. and that is the coast, they kind of need it. that is sort of the good thing. we'll go further south. this is what's left of than. advisories are not issued. but this is the association of the clouds and the showers just
